    As a former prison inmate ( drug charges. ), I saw what happens to prisoner’s convicted of child abuse or other crimes like these. It doesn’t matter what their sentences are, the other inmates will administer their own brand of justice. They will not last long behind bars. Neither of them.

      @@SoulOne713 well that’s the great question, right? i think dianne sawyer asked jordan what, if anything, she’d say to her parents if given the chance, and she responded with just asking why. but i think the documentary mentions that the mother might have some kind of extreme narcissistic disorder which is why she always got food and children’s toys for herself, but never for her children. obviously not an excuse bc many mentally ill people manage to live everyday without torturing and abusing their children.

      @@SoulOne713 i believe it also has something to do with their ducking weird messed up religion and the mother wasn’t always like that it started with the father he would be abusive to her and they got married when she was 16 and he was 22 and I don’t know if her parents consented to the marriage or not because the mother was a minor and he was an adult so she didn’t really experience a normal rest of her teen years and sh was t taught important life lessons by her mother who she needed most of all bc all good mothers know best

      Agreed, I’m a survivor as well and we lived in a duplex. My mother would blast rock music at 100 volume on school nights yet the people next door would just move out eventually. I feel like I survived mentally by playing outside to get away from the abuse. It’s not like our neighbors had no clue that kids lived there. I prayed every night that someone would help me and my sister. We even told CPS workers during a welfare check once about our mother’s delusions and constant screaming, (she was an extreme alcoholic and was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder) but nothing was done until years later when she was charged with domestic assault and battery against me when I was 11. She threw a tall glass of wine at my head as I was running away from her and it didn’t even shatter when it hit me in the head. My sister was brave enough to hide and call the police while I showered. I had a welt on my head for a week when we entered foster care. We didn’t bathe much because we were never taught proper hygiene so I really struggled with showering after that day especially. I can’t even smell alcohol to this day without feeling nauseous. I’m 21 now and me and my sister are finally in a better place. I pray that these children can live healthy and happy lives despite all of the torture they endured. Please, if you see suspicious behavior, just report it!

      As a child growing up in a very abusive household I always hoped someone would notice and help. Literally anyone that may hear the fighting or screaming just anyone reach out and help, but what happened was the police were called regularly to our house and they NEVER talked to me or asked if I was ok. It was always my mother blaming everything on me being a "problem child" and my voice was never heard. Teachers often reported me to nurses for being underweight but it was always quickly dismissed and nothing happened. My severely bipolar mother was an expert of going from being in pure evil psychotic rage to calmly explaining how terrible her child is and how she HAS to resort to being physical because she just can't keep me under control! This woman could talk her way out of EVERYTHING and no one asked questions when I stopped showing up at school.

    Dressing them all the same is in itself very evident of brainwashing authoritative control, it takes away any individuality and free will. I would be horrified if I had witnessed this family leaving their house all dressed the same and the parents doing the front and rear guard security. They say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but the fathers hair do is enough to set the alarm bell ringing in my head. God's love be with the children.

    In total, I suffered through almost 9 years of infertility - tears, hopes dashed, testing, procedures, just PRAYING to get pregnant one more time, and THIS IS HOW SOMEBODY TREATS THEIR PRECIOUS GIFTS?? Beating, torturing, chaining up, starving, taunting psychologically, likely to the point of madness, let me say it is the MOST disgusting, despicable, horrific story I have ever heard and the worst set of parents that ever existed. I could throw up over this! All of these beautiful gifts from God that some people like me have to fight to have were treated worse than dirt by their own flesh and blood. Did they conceive these children simply to ruin their lives??? Rescued now or not, they will NEVER, EVER be the same. They will have trust issues with EVERYBODY, their health may possibly be forever changed, as they may not have had food enough for proper growth and nourishment. They will have extreme trouble in relationships, and just every day life will be a struggle. They will likely suffer depression, anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, and possibly other disorders also because of this abuse. Their lives may have been saved, but they will mentally ALWAYS suffer, maybe physically, but I pray they get spared from as much of this as is humanly possible, as it was NEVER their fault, they should NEVER feel that way, they aren't 'bad kids' bad people, the ones who are bad, beyond bad, are going to be tortured and tormented for the rest of their lives behind bars, and I pray they get beat daily, whopped, assaulted, every day of their natural lives, and then once this life is through, you best be sure we ALL know what will be waiting for them next.. the burning fires of hell for eternity. Those poor kids/ young adults. I just cannot fathom that anybody could carry a child, hold that baby in their arms, and wish to do ANYTHING BUT PROTECT THAT PRECIOUS CHILD, NOT DESTROY IT!! These are sickos, and they are gonna get what is coming to them. LOTS of prayers to all of the victims. May they get the counseling that they very much need, and heal over time as quickly and as completely as possible. I wish I could take them all into my home, I really do. This is just soooo very sad!

      What should be obvious to anyone paying attention, is the rise of the billions living in India and China now moving to achieve the same level of prosperity enjoyed by the west. That would require twice the resources the earth currently possesses.
      No society would willingly turn back the clock on technology for the chance to increase their population. Unbridled population growth can only create more disparity in the distribution of our finite resources and the more rapid depletion of the environment that provides them.

      It is amazing to me how these situations pop up where the abusers were supposedly acting on some kind of religious principle and hide these horrendous behaviors behind it as well as using it as a defense. They find some old testament rites and rules to justify these horrific things. The N. Testament is just the opposite in it's teachings and they disregard it every time. No wonder the churches have their validity challenged and spin-off sects are highly suspect for good reason.

      I can relate. I was raised in a very similar environment. We lived in filth & squalor. Both parents were hoarders. We had so many stray animals, that were uncared for. We slept on floors because beds were piled with dirty clothes, garbage, etc. I being the oldest was the target of the majority of the abuse. I don't feel it's necessary to elaborate on the abuse & horrid living conditions, but I will say that CPS removed me from my home after numerous complaints were filed from the various schools I attended. Ultimately, I was placed in Child Psychiatric Care, where I spent the next 4 yrs. Neither of my parents were held accountable for the cruelty they inflicted, but back in the 90's the system really didn't address child abuse/neglect. I struggle with C- PTSD & Panic Anxiety disorder (among other issues) as well. Just started EMDR to address the trauma. I'm so glad these children are getting the proper treatment, & hav alot of support around them to help them heal & overcome their traumatic ordeal so that they are able to have a chance at a happy, healthy, fulfilling life they so richly deserve. I also hope you are in a much better place in your life, & are blessed with love & support.

      I am a bit crazy too but I will never do anything like this even to my worst enemy. My suggestion and reasoning are as follows:
      It costs a lot of money to keep people in jails. More than $120,000.00 per prisoner per year. I feel that our prisoners should have to work to pay for this care - ACs, TVs, Gyms, Heating, Food, safe and secure environment etc. My solution: Set up prisons with factories etc so that prisoners produce goods and services which are sold to the public. Money earned should be used to provide for the prisoners. More money --> more benefits for prisoners and staff. Less money --> less benefits for prisoners and staff. In this way the prisoners and staff will be motivated to work to earn more. We, the ordinary people will NOT have to pay for their maintenance.
      The figure of $120,000.00 per prisoner includes the loss to revenue to the Govt. if these individuals we gainfully employed in average jobs.

      When my former boyfriend/brother in law beat/molested/ starved my two nieces (technically be molested my sister too - she was only 14 in the beginning) went to jail I had 1 wish... That everything he did to them would be done too him... Adult diapers ducked tape to legs and abdomen and arms and hands ducked tape to body and legs. Let him sit in his own shit and piss for a couple of days and then have someone beat the shit out of him and pull his hair out in chunks because he pooped and pissed in his diaper. Feed him only 1/4 needed to sustain life and so on and so forth. Unfortunately this never happened. My nieces were 2 years old and 2 month old when the were rescued. This never happened to my family so we didn't understand it or know the signs. All of us went to classes and counselling in order to help us and the children. The children are both adults with children of thier own and all but the dad (not allowed near us. If he comes there is an arrow or two with his name on it) are still here helpin them so that history doesn't repeat.
      Anyway I really wish that this couple suffered the same way their children did and that the children can find loving caring people to hold onto while they recover and during the rest of their lives. Sorry this was long.

As a nation we are legally obligated to do this. Even for evil serial killers and child rapists. :*( These people are so sick. I have cried over this. But they must go through the procedure. Likely even more charges will be rendered. The evidence hasn't all been sorted out yet.

      Felicia Gardner I'm surprised to learn that there isn't more regulation pertaining to home-schooling. Were you home-schooled all the way through? Im curious how it works....do you get the same diploma as students in pub. or private school? Is there required course work for each grade and some sort of proficiency exam to graduate? I am so sorry your parents did that to you. It seems like that whole system needs to be looked at more closely...abusive parents should not be able to use homeschooling to cover up their crimes!

    • @_xancurse_12
      @_xancurse_12 6 років тому

      Loraine A no I called bullshit after I was 16 rightfully so. Just to put things in perspective military does not acknowledge a homeschool diploma. I tried. You really do not have to do anything to graduate from home school. SERIOUSLY . Luckily I finally went to college after having to deal with some backtracking, and moving forward. The reality some homeschooled kids have to face.

    • @ltraina3353
      @ltraina3353 6 років тому +1

      Felicia Gardner Wow, that is so interesting, I always thought there must be specific curriculum that parents had to follow, and proficiency testing or something. It sounds as if there is very little oversight on homeschooling which is scary bc teachers and doctors are mandated reporters, which provides at least a small chance for an abused/neglected child to get help. I have no idea why there isn't better regulations on that. I think that neglect and abuse of children is one of the biggest dangers facing our society's long term health. It can be so hidden, yet so destructive psychologically, physically and socially....I guess there's no easy answer, but regulations regarding homeschooling seems like a no-brainer.
      You must be a pretty strong person to persist in getting to college...

      They are from West Virginia, raised most of the kids in Texas, then finally moved to California. The kids were severely abused from early childhood if not from birth. I think America needs to hold the two disgusting parents liable-- NO ONE ELSE-- just the people who did this.

      TheToni Bone What about the states that let them go? They weren't from California until recent years

    • @stevenhaste8307

      Do you not realize what the population numbers are in those states??? Like honestly, do some research, population in those states compared to law enforcement officials/state officials. Without any bringing anything to their attention there is literally NOTHING anyone can do. What your suggesting is that state officials and law enforcement go door to door, every house, every place of residence and search it for signs of anything illegal. Now ask yourself, you (I'm assuming there is nothing illegal going on at your residence) are at home, and randomly the police come and kick in your door once a month, randomly, and because of the immense population they are only allowed a certain amount of time in each residence to conduct an investigation, so the police are now forcing their way into your private residence and trashing your shit looking for anything illegal and there is nothing you can do about it, my point being is that "we the people" have rights, therefore police officers can not randomly show up at your house and enter your home without just cause, I completely understand your frustration in this horrible situation and yes it's crazy to think that for at least 29 years no one could have done anything. But the very, very sad reality is that we can't. Law enforcement officials need to be informed of whatever is going on before they are legally allowed to investigate. It fucken sucks yeah, but for people like you and me the other option isn't really an option at all, we can't have our rights violated because of people like this, especially because people like that don't deserve those rights. But until someone, somewhere informs law enforcement about illegal activities, there is nothing, anyone can do :// I'm sorry for the long rant, I am just as upset and disgusted by this as you are, I'm not trying to argue or anything, just simply she'd some light on what your implying. Because I believe in our law enforcement, and I firmly believe that of there was anything someone could have done to help these poor kids it would have happened. Thank God that brave girl did what she had to do to survive and save her siblings, it's a damn shame it went on as long as it did. Truly unbearable to think about. Again, sorry for the rant. Hope y'all have a great day, God bless.

    1. I can't work on cases like this. Law enforcement officials are going to need some serious therapy. Just hearing they were chained and that the 29-y-o was 89 pounds...I just can't.
    2. What is wrong with these two people? How are they such monsters? How did they not seek help, when they clearly knew the things they were doing to children wasn't normal?

    The kids must have noticed how other kids behaved at Disneyland in 2016...they would have overheard normal conversations, noticed kids eating normally, noticed parents caring, and realized not all parents were like their parents.
    I thought every mom flew into rages, screamed, yelled, chased and hit their kids often every day like my rageaholic mom did. I accepted it as normal. It was a huge shock when I realized at age 8 that not all mothers were like that. The hot rage I felt in an instant when I realized she had put me through 8 years of hell. Not one adult who witnessed it reported our mom, not one teacher, not the hospital, doctors, nurses, that treated my sister when our mom was in a rage and slammed the front door on my sister's toe, slicing it off.
    They, including my dad, were just trying to stay out of her way.
    The good old days, the Sixties.

    I remember a similar case like this, only it was just one girl by herself (no siblings) and by the time she was found, she was unable to learn how to speak since her parents never talked to her. She was 13 and the cops thought she was 6.

      Jordan Jnee. I don't know if this is the same story that I've hears of. wasn't the daughter neglected and was unable to communicate? and when authorities did jump in to save her and to educate her she learned at a rapid rate, however was unable to retain the knowledge? if so then i know that case and i think that it is such a waste of a human being. a person that could have helped others and educate the youth.
