Thanks for this. Bought many a used horse trailer with iffy wiring and blown fuses in my tow vehicle. The info at the end about the brake check was a real bonus. Thanks!
I run two of there on service trucks and they are great.
Very cool 👍
Jeff, good review, didn’t know they made this tester 👍🏼🇱🇷
It’s a cool little tester. We used the big IPA tester at RV Inspection/Technician training school but it’s around $1,800. This one is more portable for the mobile tech/inspection work that I do.
@@covetthecamper2289Hi Jeff, I bought this same unit over the weekend to try test for a problem I am having with a Triton ATV trailer. Unfortunately I was very disappointed when I plugged in and absolutely no lights are working on my trailer. My trailer has electric brakes on one of two axles. I did check if the new battery I bought with the Ranger unit was charged and also the little battery on my trailer for the breakaway switch …….. both show 12.69 V. The power light is on in the Ranger tester.
Is there any obvious problem when all lights don’t work like this? I have looked at the ground wire point on the trailer and it “seems” to be in good condition. My trailer is an all aluminum frame as are all Triton trailers. Would really appreciate if you have any suggestion here. The trailer is a 2012 and the lights worked fine all these years until a few months ago. The trailer is always stored inside and basically it does a 1,000 mile trip twice a year so it has not been exposed to a lot of weather conditions that would cause the wiring to go bad.
