As an electrician that only uses Milwaukee and Sergio killed it and super clean being OCD that’s important I love it! And I just bought jerky so throw cash in my order lmao 😂
Suggestions: The battery adapter should be mounted to the bottom of the box, with the battery's indicator lights facing outwards, in the same direction of the switches (just like the battery would normally mount on a tool) This way you can easily check the battery's level of charge, and so you don't have this giant thing sticking out off the wall waiting to bump your shoulder EVERY time you walk by.
With the battery relocated (where it should have been), you make room for more switches in the door, (for a master switch right off the battery adapter instead of having to use that dinky switch on the battery adapter you bought, which is forcing you to mount it in a horrible location) or to mount the screen of the charge level monitor into the door's face so its constantly viewable from outside the box.
I'll accept a 5% royalty for every until sold of the new design.
I'd also check to make sure it's OK to plug USB chargers into that dual USB port you included, considering that's meant to be installed on a 12v system, and you have a 20v battery powering your setup without a step-down.
5% royalty lol make your own design if you think it’s worth so much
Spot on assessment. I’d even look into mounting 2-3 on the bottom and wire them in parallel. Otherwise using a single battery for lights and charging phones will result in changing out the battery pretty often in a single work day.
@@leeknivek it was a joke, obviously....
@@leeknivek Wow. You must be fun at parties
@@johnvirginia7238 I usually am thanks for noticing
The timing of this video! been needing to rewire my trailer. Appreciate it Sergio!!!
You should put the battery on the side of the box where the USB charger is so it doesn’t stick out so far
I definitely could see that looking better, however, depending on the mounting hardware for the battery, the screws/bolts used may be too long and hit the fuse block
Yeah I agree. It’s taking up room and I could see myself hitting that pretty hard lol
I had a comment typed up about draining the batteries too much and using fuses while the video was still playing. I'm very glad to see that you and Sergio actually mentioned that and did a professional job. Too many people are just throwing this kind of stuff in their vehicles without using the proper safety measures.
One small note though: The internals of a Milwaukee 18V are EXACTLY the same as a DeWalt 20V. 20 or 18 volt is just marketing, the voltage ranges will be identical.
Well done, gents! Very clear and thorough tutorial 👍🏽
Absolutely love seeing some real attention to detail on every part of what he does. Love the idea to. Will be stealing this idea for Father’s Day for my Dad’s shed that’s a few hundred feet from his house
What a brilliant idea! I will be doing something very similar now to power some lights under the canopy of the truck! Great video
This video had a great format with great instructions! Keep up the good work Ryan
Sergio does top notch work. Love to see someone take such pride in what they do.
Sergio is awesome! So humble, I love it!
Well done. 10 Year's ago I made my own unit similar to this, for our boy scout troop trailer. In this case I only did interior lights, master power switch, motion detection detection switch. The big difference was the battery. I used a small 12Ahr gel battery ($20) with spade connectors, so we can remove the battery and charge it. Leasers have been talking about making two more small portable units for the latrine for our week long summer camp. Thanks again
Awesome showing the lights being installed on the trailer and the time laps with them on
Thanks Ryno and Sergio! I really needed to see this! Awesome video!
I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it but the Milwaukee low battery cutoff is in the battery and the DeWalt is in the tool. So it’s a good thing you added it anyway! Great video!
I like how simple and straightforward this design is. Complements to Sergio.
I don’t have a trailer or hunting blind but this makes me want to get one just to put in the lights. Absolutely killed it again! 🔥🔥
Pretty sweet set up, definitely buying one when I get a trailer. 👍
This is a brilliant idea. I want to do this for my camping trailer
sweet, a ryno video to watch right after getting off work!
This is a great solution for small lighting needs.
What a great idea! Just got a new trailer and was looking at installing a battery to power the interior lights, didn't even think about using my tool batteries....genius idea.
Amazing video! Ordering up a few for our setups! Thanks Ryno
Loved it, two suggestions, 1) put the battery on the bottom of the box, so someone's shoulder doesn't rip it off the wall/box, 2) add a second battery holder in parallel, for a full shift of work
Was going to suggest the battery relocation, I also was going to suggest some other stuff but they would go beyond the scope of battery powered lights.
Nice set up you guys are going to sell a lot for those who go camping and use trailers
Love the idea of this being sold as a kit. My only upgrade that I would like to see is drill slightly bigger holes in the metal box and add rubber gromets to the holes to prevent the wires from chafing.
It’s a non conductive plastic box
@@DMAXRYNO His concern was not shorting out. It was chafing. Which is a concern with a plastic box too. Sharp edges cut things. Grommets prevent that.
@@benjaminreinhardt259 you also figure if it's a trailer, it'll be in constant movement, which means his standalone system WITHOUT the grommets will eventually cause the system to stop working because a wire got cut in the box.
@@benjaminreinhardt259I would probably let the OP answer for himself. Considering he said “METAL BOX” I’m quite positive that chaffing and “shorting out” was exactly what he meant. Of course, grommets are always a good idea but it would take years for that plastic box to rub through the jacket of that wire.
This is a good professional installation. I can use it in my offgrid sea container.
Great idea!!! And really clean install.Nice job
Did same thing with my trailer and added a solar panel and a charge controller for the 12 volt battery charger for the batteries. I just rotate them out every other day. Great video and great content!!!
I have done this in my trailer and my shed
It is very nice to know about the distribution block for future projects and the low voltage disconnect to protect the batteries.
Super cool, would be great for a shed or small building for emergency lights.
You got this 500,000 views and want you to remember me when you hit it 😂 I can def use one of these in my trailer 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸
Already made plans for at least 3 trailers to get this upgrade after seeing your video on tiktok. Ones being a gift for my parents company trailer. Can’t wait to get it started.
I’m so glad y’all made this video I’m a newbie at this and I want to do the same setup! Thanks guys!! Keep up the good work and content!
yeah same ere, a newbie at 12V setup....i know how to wire a trailer for 12V Lighting from car, but like to take step further.
This is definitely what I was searching for!
Nice, clean set up. I like that off switch on the adapter. If I can't find one like that, I'll hook up a separate kill switch running off the black. I'll need to look into building something like this for our '90 VW Vanagon. Definitely, I'll design a solar charger to keep my spare batteries topped off. Great video!
I have something similar with a marine battery & solar with 4000w inverter plugs lights and switches works great but this is definitely a cost effective way to do this plus it looks great good job 👍🏾
Yes i want you to give it away and its a great video. I was very interested when you previewed this and i'm going to order one either way. This is good stuff for my storm shelter backup system.
Very clean and great looking application
Love it...ordered the assembled!...WORKFORIT!
Definitely worth the wait!!👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome! Just wired rear lights to be active for reverse or switch. Mains power through the aux connector of 7 pin into 2 relays. 1 triggered by reverse connector and 1 by switch. This way sit doesn’t back feed to truck and turn on truck reverse lights when using the switch. I may have to add this into the mix too.
This is awesome, may look into to for my off-grid shop.
Will love one of this for my kids tree house if I get chosen.. but awesome set up and explanation of everything
thats a really great value ...even getting it assembled
Was literally thinking about creating this 2 seconds before this video popped up! Thanks for the info!
Love it. Will be ordering for my trailer
This is really awesome Ryno and so cool of you to do this for/with Sergio! Great price too! #badass
This is awesome! Totally what I’m looking for
Definitely gives me some inspiration for my fishing boat
Great video! Keep being awesome!
that's super cool. would be awesome for my enclosed motorcycle trailer. a little more than I would spend since I don't really use it at night but definitely a quality product.
Great set up. Convenient packaged
Great idea use your tool battery's Im going to do this at my storage unit keep up the great work
This was a damn good video! Good job guys!!
This is excellent! Now I need to get an enclosed trailer.
Very cool setup. Either one would work for me. I have both Dewalt and Milwaukee! Keep up the great videos and work!
I hope you and Sergio sell a shit ton of these. I’m sold
Great setup for a work trailer.
Great idea, setup, and video. Subscribed. I will be ordering one from you. Thanks!!
Love that setup!!!
Great video of the light box.
Really clean setup.
That’s such a great idea!
Great little cost effective system.
This is an awesome set up
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Dude that is clean!!!
Giving me ideas to add on my overland bed rack
Great idea. Very nice!
This is a great idea really good job on the video very informative
Sick, great video! Great idea
I thank you for the excellent tutorial Sir ,Sergio
Cool setup
That was a Dantastic setup and tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to walk us all through it. Work For It
This is a nice setup!
This is an awesome idea. I’ll post this to my Instagram and share with everyone. Also to help support you and IEP.

We need one more option on the site for no battery adapter included. I only have Makita because it was a gift 🤣
@@TheJustinCase101 I use Ryobi, so I agree.
@@TheJustinCase101 he will be adding makita, ryobi and harbor freight adapters as well!
Will this kit work with the dewalt 60v flexvolt batteries, or will the smoke come out?
Nice lil set up
Definitely doung this to my shed I have out back
Great idea, I've been looking for away to light up the trailer while it's at the storage unit.
Awesome setup
Damm those lights are super bright!! Im going to order some right now!
Great idea, very cool video.
I found these when I was going to do something like that for a container. At the end of the day it Blows that away! Not to mention the space and mess it saves.I run real LED shop lights inside. Plus you can run up to 1000watts with this. Power tools on site! Plus the warranty made it a win for me.
That is a really nice set up and could really use that at the new place...if I don't win one I'll have to check it Sergio's set up thanks brother
This would be a killer set up for power in my small building
Very cool idea
Very Clean!
Saving this video such a great idea
I did almost the same thing. Using the trailer break away battery. The truck keeps it charged. And added a solar panel to the roof for when the truck is not available. But I like this option also.
Let’s get this to a million views!
WHat is great is you can buy adapters online for any tool battery platform out there and adapt it to so many applications. Its great! I did something similar with M12 batteries powering snowblower offroad lights for night time snow removal. I also have similar setups with Ryobi 40v batteries and 18v batteries.
Hello, just now seeing your video, I have a full off grid trailer setup but I will be making a new trailer Lord's willing soon so I would consider using your setup 😀
I seen the adapter on ebay when i was looking for spares for my Milwaukee sweater i mine was such a life changing thing for me i have serious nerves damage so it helps
I have severe nerve damage in my chest wall and use my Milwaukee sweatshirt for the same reason. It gets brutal sometimes brother but the heat seems to help much more than meds
That's slick. Excellent choice on lights that can operate on the wide voltage range. Do you have the ability to connect it to the truck power feed to the trailer?
FYI, Ryobi "One+" batteries put the protection in the battery. That's how they are able to use the new lithium batteries in ancient tools that were designed for and shipped with NiCad batteries.
Awsome idea
This thing is so sick
I need on for my Makita !!! This would be perfect!!
This is fantastic!!!!
