Best shots of the functionality of the blend doors. Excellent vid!
This video answered my question of back motor not working. Figured I would just make it a single control. Thanks.
I like your repair best. Thanks
When People cut out the inner piece between the doors but I never see anyone mention that they put the middle section back in at the end before finishing? can you just leave that piece out and still have funtioning blend doors? will that cause problems in the long run blow by and such?
When reinstalling do you need to cut the white connector in the rear from the rear motor out ?
what did you do to keep the pin in place so it doesn’t back out over time?
Awesome! I have a 2002 that has the same issue. But I also have a ac evaporator leaking so I'm gonna end up pulling the dash😖
How do you disable the motor that you cannot get to? I unplugged the motor and still hear the one in the back. That is the broken one. I have 2004 dual zone. Ordered the dual doors as one piece. Looks like i will need to cut out some more plastic in the center to get it to work.
Thanks for the video. This is for a dual zone a/c system, right? I have a single zone system in mine. Is the blend door different? I've seen some where the door is one piece. Would that be for a single zone system, do you know?
That would be for a single zone
@@offairportgear In a single zone, is the second rear door pin not motorized? Just a pivot pin?
after watching other videos, I think maybe, you should NOT have pinned the two doors together in a FLAT PLANE...??..it seems that they should be in a configuration where when one is closed, the other is open ..??!!
Is this the fix for code 56?
mine did the same thing, after cutting it open i found the passenger side was already replaced with an aluminum one and still had a plastic one on the drivers side. must have been a dealership "if it any broke dot fix it so we can charge twice" repair. anyway the passenger side controller was broke off in the aluminum door. only 2 ways to fix that. pull the dash and box or what i did, i glued the 2 new doors together with RVT to make it a single operation
Why not simply buy a single-zone kit from a store?
The only reason to order these fancy ones online is to retain dual zone temperature control.
got a link? the fancy kit was for the aluminum door i could care less about the dual. id be willing to bet a parts store will not have the aluminum ones
