- Blond Ambition songs from the VHS Miramax Live Entertainment video for Truth OR Dare US version, no longer available/ex-catalogue release.
In 1992, the re-released on VHS in the US had two additional live videos of "Like a Prayer" and "Hanky Panky", which played after the end credits.
These two songs are not available on Lionsgate Warner Bros DVD or Bluray.
BAT was meant to be the greatest show on earth. It was out of this world and beyond our imagination. The best trip ever existed. 🙏
I saw this tour in San Francisco...Totally changed my opinion of her... She worked her ass off in that show...Still the best live performance I've seen...

Her collaboration with Vince Patterson is as great as it was the first time. M is one the most committed and creative artists of our time. The Blond Ambition tour is one of the best shows ever!

I saw this tour live in Detroit in 1990 (the night she sang Happy Birthday to her Dad). I was so nervous and excited before it started while Technotronic (the opening group) was performing, that I almost threw up. I had never been so excited to see somebody - granted I was only 11 years old. So glad that I was fine after all. Then I was able to enjoy literally the best concert I have ever seen in my life. Side note - Despite what anyone might say, yes, the performance of Like A Virgin was watered down a bit in Detroit because her family was in the audience. When I saw it a couple months later on HBO, I remember thinking that that version was much more wild than what I saw, lol.

Saw this show in Dallas first night and it was AMAZING! The whole "Religion" segment was just brilliant and brave and unheard of from a "pop" star at the time. Even since in my opinion.

At her pinnacle, this tour set the bar for everything that followed. I have never seen such an incredible showcase of exuberance, and I was at the Toronto show where she was "almost arrested"! We knew nothing. Such a total pro. I get goosebumps every time I watch these clips. Thank you, Madonna.
GREAT CHOREOGRAPHY
Madonna was way before her time. I have never thought she was a outstanding singer; but when you mix her style, dynamics, and choreography step moves her team puts together. It is out of this world; so awesome. Madonna brought so much to the table during her time, it was unreal.

I was fortunate enough to see this concert live 4 times. I've been to all her concerts at least once. I also saw re-invention 6 times front row (the best tour since Blond Ambition) and sat front row ever since. If you haven't done it, you need to. It was an amazing experience to see her perform close-up. Almost like a dream lol
The visual quality of this is stunning! I don't know what Keshishian did to make this look different than regular concert footage. Just watched Truth or Dare the other day on Blu ray and it's amazing! Can hardly believe it's a movie from 27 years ago! The color is stunning and beautiful.

I’m a huge fan of Madonna & I have been since her very 1st single “Everybody” Released is n October 6, 1982, it was released 24 days B4 my 10th Birthday. I have been to 10 of her 11 Tours (Missed her 1st Tour The Virgin Tour 1985) so my 1st Tour was The Who’s That Girl, When I saw my 2nd Madonna tour BAM I loved it & after 10 Tours The Blonde Ambition Tour remains 1 of my Fav tours. I also remember seeing “Truth Or Dare” in the movie theater with my sister who’s also a huge Madonna fan & the movie was & is amazing & when the concert Singh came on the screen was outstanding to have the film go from black and white to the concert scenes in color was just truly outstanding. I’ve been to her WTGT 1987, BAM 1990, TGS 1993, DWT 2001, RIT 2004, CONFESSIONS Tour 2006, S&S 2008, MDNA 2012 , RHT 2015 & For this tour I was 5 feet from her it was my 1st time ever having floor seats for a Madonna tour & not only floor seats but was literally right at the stage & I was in awe, MX Tour 2019

It is so sad to watch this and know a couple of the dancers have passed and poor Ollie is a server in a restaurant in Las Vegas with I think Bells Palsey. There is a great doc on Netflix about all the dancers and what happened after this tour.

I'm IMPRESSED with the quality of this footage. Why it wasn't used for concerts back then? The Girlie Show was not recorded with this level of quality, I understand this footage was used for the film, wasn't it better to keep it that way?
This footage was from the Truth Or Dare recorded stock and it was on 35mm film. The Girlie Show was done on tape. That is why there is such a difference between the two.

I just saw The Madame X Tour in Brooklyn NY on Sept 24, 2019 & The Madame X Tour was my 10th Tour. I didn't see The Virgin Tour. The Blonde Ambition Tour was my 2nd Tour & out of the 10 Tours The BAM Tour is in my top 5 Fav Tours. Here is why, The Opening Express Yourself is 1 of her best openings & Live To Tell/Oh Father Both of these songs are in my top 10 Fav Madonna Ballads, Also Sooner or later & This version of Holiday is in my top 3 Fav Versions & including The BAM Tour I've seen her perform it 7 of her 8 times she's performed it on Tour (Missed it on TVT) & I loved how she ended the show with "Keep It Together" She's only performed it on this tour. Also This version of Like A Prayer was so incredible. I have seen her perform Like a prayer 5 times & this is still my Fav Version,
People always mentioning stadiums, around half the venues she played on that tour were arenas. You know those buildings with roofs? It seems absolutely absurd that there was never an official video/dvd release for this tour. Think of how many people have been deprived.

show in DAllas, Tx??? in the USA tour MAdonna used long hair ponytale , and in the EUROPE tour she used short hair buckles like Sherley Temple style.
Good vocal hanky panky, playful, raunchy, wild, a bit vintage ish yet modern, none can do; Like a prayer dance her ass off epic yes but sounds like a harsh hammer. Back then she lacked live vocal training.

Had she toured more extensively back in the 80's-90's she would had been the top earning performer in the music industry, above the Rollings Stones & U2. Tours like "Who's That Girl", "Blond Ambition" "The Girlie Show" should had been all Stadiums & around the world not just Europe as she did exclusively! Nonetheless, amazing Entertainer!
Starting from the BAT, Madonna made $1,31 billions in 514 shows.
The Rolling Stones ($1,84 billions) & U2 ($1,67 billions) in away more shows.
So Madonna with only 514 shows isn't too far from U2.
The WTG Tour gross not even enters on Madonna's Billboard Boxcore touring gross
WTG was a stadium tour. GS and BA were almost all stadiums except for a few dates! SHE is the most!

These are bonus on VHS for the film Truth Or Dare ( In bed with Madonna) US version. The actual 1990 tour Blond Ambition was never released on VHS or DVD. There are couple of non official videos, like live from Yokohama Japan, there is even HBO recording of last show in Nice, France.
Those are both official and were released on laser disc.
ONLY in Japan. Never released anywhere else officially which is truly tragic.

I always thought she was really tiny. Likr 5 ft tall. But the two ladys are the same height.or even shorter.
She is quite short - around 5 foot 3 I think. I saw up really close at The Forum in Melbourne for Tears of A Clown and her physical size is jarring because she is such an outsize, iconic presence

Correct. On that tour she lip sync'd to pre-recorded vocal tracks that were made to sound not perfect, with a bit of breathing on the mic, to fool the audience that it was live. It works though. Good idea. She actually can't sing live to save her life. Great show though. Love it. But yes, those in denial about it being playback. If you dont believe me, listen to every concert available on youtube. The vocal tracks are identical on every song. Identical. The only live parts are when she's talking , from what I could tell. Like when shes running and jumping around while singing, her voice doesnt go all shaky at all. IT remains stable. Coz its not live. IF you've ever heard her live singing, it's not so good, sorry to say. :S But great dancing and live band music. Not dissing
