When the remixes from the 80s were musically relevant and looked like masterpieces based on the original version melodies with great additional production and overdubs. Miss those days
I still freak out to the part from 5:42 - 6:06 The way "Hey & What" from True Blue plus "Come on" from Into the Groove are mixed gives me goosebumps!!! Love Shep Pettibone remixes!!! 💚
Picture it... Augusta GA, 1986. I was only 13 years old. So the only access we had to club mixes like this were from Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 when he would play a special remix of certain songs in that week's countdown. Good times! 😀
When does cassette Maxi with these mixes came out I remember I cried my eyes out forcing my parents to take me to the store to get it I still have my original long box and cassette singles and these are some of my favorite remixes of all time! Epic!
I haven't this mix in it's entirety in YEARS! Maybe 25 years LOL This was always my favorite mix of this track when I had the 12" single when I was a little turd.
I just found my cassette maxi single ,when I was helping my mom move. We were cleaning out my childhood room and found it in a box full of cassettes! They still play too!
Na minha opinião esta é a melhor versão para esta música. Curti e dancei muito ao som da mesma. Bombou em 1987 e ainda se estendeu por alguns meses de 1988.
Had parts of this version on an old cassette (yes, cassette, ha!) Hadn't heard it in so long, was beginning I think I dreamed this version... the best :)

yes, and this was the first time Madonna had remix that wasn't just wan extended version. wouldn't be surprised if Madonna was the first one...she usually always.

jasper jay This was really the 7th single in a row that she released during the true blue who’s that girl era. The song didn’t have a video so it went all the way to number two on the dance clubs loving it.
jasper jay I never understood Michaels popularity? I always just thought his music “pretty good or just OK” I prefer prince over MJ any day.. even Janet over MJ.. lol whatever
“Bad” was MJ’s highly anticipated come back and accompanied by a massively powerful video. “Causing a Commotion” was continuation of madonna’s true Blue/who’s that girl string of singles and there’s no video to it. It stalled right behind “Bad”. I think it competed very well. The thing is, this song today is totally forgotten and underrated.

Haven't heard this song in years and like you I used to lose my mind during that "Hey What....Come On" break down. So many memories!

This may very well be the best remix of all time ??? Such a genius re-work of the original. So memorable from start to finish. Thank u Shep
Fellow djs - mix this with “clouds” the c&c remix by Chaka khan. It’s the exact same baseline and the two songs just melt together

Love that this has an alternate vocal from the single version.
Buen disco
This should be on her upcoming remix album! Love this song and this remix is 🔥🔥
this a good workout song jam to burn calories
This remix was released in October 1987. I was 16 and attending Jersey Village High in Houston, TX at the time.
glad Causing a commotion is also there! ❤️
i been looking for this version like for ever
Has to be one of the first “house mixes”. Kind of set the template of 90’s dance music or club.
I miss those days ' Who's that girl' 80s what a icon!
A precious remix... I love it!!!
This remix still sounds so amazing. 🔥

She really hates everything that has to do with this era. Is it because it reminds her of Sean Penn? Is it because the movie flopped?

Que buena y hermosa que estaba Madonna en esa época (no patriarcado opresor)
Tämä on melkein paras madonnan kappaleista tässä on hyvä rytmi ja tämä pitempi mixattu versio on parempi kuin se lyhyt versio.😃
