Turning chooks from the dark side to the light side. Love it. We have tried many versions over the years too. The bamboo one lasted longest (surprisingly). I may have to give it another go, it does save a lot of lifting and carrying of compost.
Hi Nevin, I too have been using chook tractors for about 30 years, being a fitter/machinist by trade, I make everything out of steel and they end up very heavy. I have 2 .I move them with a tractor and transfer the chooks before moving
Under the Choko Tree nah! I go hot and cold with my organic gardening and self sufficiency. At the moment I have no water, dam is dry, and garden is at a standstill, just keeping things alive until we get some rain. Regards Hal
Do you have instructions on how you made your last one please? I’m hoping to get a couple of chickens once I get the lupin out. It’s over taken so much land. I didn’t mind until I found out it’s toxic to most animals! I hope chickens can eat the seeds because it’s going to take a long time to completely clean up this mess.
Hi Klara, I do have an article on my website about how I did it - www.underthechokotree.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=516:the-4g-chook-tractor&catid=43:chickens&Itemid=58

Hey Hal, sounds like you are doing this on a much bigger scale than we are! :-)

pity about the poor sound quality.
Sorry to hear that Jeff, it sounds OK when I play it back. Do you get sound quality issues on any of the other videos?
Richard Perkins has a soft voice also. No other issues with anyone else as we have a good sound system here.
