- We all love the little blue hedgehog who runs around collecting golden rings, but Creepypasta put a whole new spin on Sonic when a mysterious haunted Sonic.EXE disc started making the rounds. This Sonic game was like something out of a horror film, and whoever played it suffered a gruesome fate! Find out what happens if you play the haunted game right now!

This author did rewrite the story into a much longer one, and it's horrendous. Not only does he have no clue how college works--the main characters are college students--but also the characters basically just gather around and talk about how much they love Sonic games, which no college student ever does.

I remember being really interested in the concept of sonic.exe just because of the fact that sonic characters are known to fight back and try to survive,then it turned out to be a clinche.Still like the newer depctions of the story though.

Sonic exe was honestly the thing that lived in my nightmares for 2 years. I honestly got scared of that secret screen that you can find in the game that showed all those scary faces
Infographics really did a great video in this, creepypastas don't really work on me as much, but this got me chills, they always do great presentation

I first saw this in July 2013 when I was 14 years old. I remember watching one of my favorite videos on UA-cam was Sonic Zombies. It was early in the morning, when I was searching for Sonic Zombies, I saw this video and I thought this was a different Song Zombie video and that’s when I saw Sonic.EXE, I had nightmares for months from July 2013 to April 2014.
I was about 7 when I first saw this in 2015. I had nightmares from 2015 to 2018,I’m twelve now. About to be 13.
I was never scared of him tho I found I out at 5 years old.

i think Sonic exe has three drawbacks. He likes to play with his victim and it makes it difficult for him. And to enter the real world, he needs a physical body, and I think his physical body is the same as the Sonic body, because he is in fact a soul and has no body, and if his physical body is destroyed, he has to wait an hour to re-enter the real world. And his biggest weakness is that if his disk is destroyed, he will be killed. Forever.

He was very poorly written.
The answer is simple. It’s clearly Sonic being possessed by Mephiles the Dark.
But Mephiles is more of a manipulator, taking advantage of Silver's desperate search for a way to fix his world. Sonic.EXE, on the other hand, is what you'd get if you combined the Joker with a self-aware Monokuma, playing twisted games with his victims and weakening their hold on reality before brutally killing them, and loving every second of it.

@@spectralknightgaming8364 You mean Pennywise? Well, he does have a similar nature to old Pennywise, but he doesn't have any shape shifting powers that we know of. However, this doesn't make him any less dangerous. In fact, I'm convinced that Sonic.EXE is more powerful than Pennywise could imagine. Sonic.EXE has pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and the ability to see into and absorb souls. He even has a strong charisma and even basic hypnotism. He canonically leads a whole cult that he has convinced to believe that he is a good guy.

I downloaded either this, or a remake of it, maybe- IDK- 20 years ago. Everything in the video is pretty much accurate. After running the program, it bricks your computer and formats your hard drive. It's not as devilishly sinister as the voiceover makes it sound (as in, it's not CURSED or anything), but it did ruin a fairly new $4000 PC.
