- This video is to show the dials, buttons, doors and menus featured on the Fujifilm X-A5, along with some photo examples on what the camera is capable of. And a big thank you to my pup, Roxie the Doxie for putting up with my camera as always.
This is to help those who have just purchased the X-A5 learn their way around the camera body. The more you know, the less you will feel intimidated with the avaliable features and settings!

Hi. Could you perhaps please make a tutorial on how to make your own recipes on this specific camera ? I can't seem to follow other tutorials for Fuji got this, because the menu setup seems different.

Super helpful! Thank you! Can you give a recommendation on the best video setting for x-a5? 4K on this camera seems little delayed and doesn’t look smooth as 1080p.. is it my settings?
That sounds like an issue with a slow card! Make sure the card your using has a U3 symbol to handle the 4K. If the card is too slow, it can’t keep up with the processing needed to save the video.
Hello, which microphone works well on Xa5 in stereo mode? I’m trying a lot of microphones and I receive always mono signal only on the left. Ty and greetings from Italy
I would go for the Rode Stereo Videomic Pro Rycote, I think that would give you the best results!
I tried using the flash in daylight but it didn’t work, do you need to select something to make it work?

Shofiul Pathan I would say one full battery should last you about an hour and a half maybe two hours, so definitely have one or two back up batteries!

When I put the camera in A, and I try to take the same photo with several apertures, I realize that only the speed varies, the Iso remains static, and remains in values that do not have much noise, which asks me to use a tripod. Why is the Iso not changed?

The ISO is probably not set to AUTO in the menu. You can set it to auto or choose a higher ISO to avoid using a tripod :)
Do you happen to know why when I transfer my photos to my phone they look blurry?
How can we set up the camera for it to be used for vlogging? Because mine is not working nice for recording a video, every time I record it automatically stop around 15 seconds. Is that normal? Or there's something I need to do with the settings? Thankyou
That may be due to the SD card you have inside. Make sure its at least a 16GB, that it has the U3 symbol (a U with a 3 inside), and make sure its formatted (which will erase all data permanently, and can be found in your settings menu). If all this is correct and its still giving you a problem, let me know!
Hi Mam, Is there any option of movie recording button for start/stop on Touch display Screen.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to start and stop recording from the touch screen, great question!

( 15:23 ) press the downward button on your directional pad and go to the symbol with multiple frames where it will allow you to do a burst of 6 frames per second while you hold down the shutter button. Hope this helps!

Hi! What’s the best setting for taking videos for vlogging? I found that sometimes my camera is not focusing. Thanks heaps!
Hanna Heuzinkveld I would say if you are talking to the camera keep your focusing setting on AF-S and if your mostly centered put the AF area on Center. If you are capturing things around you like the environment or another subject, switch the AF mode to AF-C and switch your AF area to the whole grid so you can pick the area you would like to focus :)

Try using the focusing tools to ensure it is focusing on what you need in the way you need it to:

Exactly. The only difference in the other models are different layouts, tools or features. If you were wanting more than the X-A5, the next step i recommend would be the X-T30, but if your happy with what you have, stick with it :)

Jus 🌹 it all depends on what your goal is for what your photographing! If your just starting out with this camera, start in Auto mode so you can get comfortable with your camera and then move forward from there :)

Jus 🌹 you are not bugging me at all! I started this channel to help others like you! Which settings are you trying to change specifically? In Auto mode you will be limited to what you can change, if you want the ability to change all options, try having your mode dial on P. Let me know how else I can help!

Jus 🌹 well the settings in the menu won’t do much for you there. For portraits, you will want a lens with an aperture number of 2.8 or lower and shoot on your A mode. Check out my Tips and Tricks video on Aperture mode in my Camera Basics Playlist, that might help you out!
Hi there, I bought my camera recently and really struggle with reading manuals. Your walk-through is really helpful. However, I am really struggling with getting the flash to work. It does not fire up and engage indoors so photos are coming out a bit dark. Following the instructions, I am only getting one option on the flash menu, to select red eye removal. None of the other flash modes are there to select. Any ideas what I am doing wrong please? thanks!
You are not alone! A lot of others have this question as well. The flash on this camera will not automatically pop up, you have to do that manually. To do this, on the side of your camera where you see the lightning bolt symbol, hit that switch and the flash should pop up. From there, you should be able to access more of your flash options, especially if you move from auto to P mode! Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@Shutterbug101 Okay thanks, I'll try again. I was popping it up manually but it does not engage. I cannot get the menus to work as part of them are greyed out. From P mode I can get to flash compensation and red eye removal, not flash mode - this is still greyed out! Any other ideas? thanks!
There may be a silent mode on. Go into the menu and reset your settings to see if that brings them back. With the flash popped up, it shouldn’t be grayed out so hopefully this fixes it!

How do we change the video resolution?
In the menu>Camera tab #5>Movie Set Up should be where you are looking for!
When I flip the screen for my selfie my face on the flip screen is upside down. Please help
Once flipped up, pull upward on the screen for it to display right side up. Hope this helps!
Hello why my flash is not working in sr mode and when i go to the menu i can't adjust the flash mode thank you in advance :)))
In SR mode, this is where the camera has strict presets and there is little to no customization, including flash. I would recommend using the P mode if flash is desired.
How could I know shutter counting ??!!
Does this Camera Support Bluetooth remote shutter?
I believe you can use your smart device to use as a wireless remote, but don't see a way to connect to a bluetooth remote. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Where i can enable grid lines ?
If you access your menu, you will need to go to the wrench menu #1 > screen set-up > framing guideline > select your desired grid

You can use the remote function through the Fujifilm app on a smart device, yes.

axel matthew magat you will have to pop up the flash by using the switch on the left size of the camera next to the lightning bolt symbol. If it is still not flashing, hit the Q button for your quick menu and go to the last row of options, third one over with the same lightning bolt symbol and turn it to on or fill light. Hope this helps!

axel matthew magat any flash listed as a Fuji flash will work. If you are looking for an inexpensive option (because the Fuji brand flashes can be pretty pricey) I would suggest this flash here: amzn.to/2ZLQKEu
It’s a Godox brand flash that will work with the X-A5 and I haven’t had any complaints from my customers! Let me know if you have any other questions!
