- This week we take a look at the Fujifilm X-A5 for the purposes of street photography and low profile pictures. To test that out, I went on a POV street photography session in my town!

I've been using mine since 2018. Its a good handy cam. I paired it with 7artisan 18mm version 2. Its looks like a digicam more compact. 😊

I know the XC 15-45 lens is annoying to use but it really surprised me how good it is optically. To the point that it is the only lens that I bring with me for short trips 👌

lol my wife just bought for me this camera a week ago... i was actually surprised when zooming in a test shot loll,,,the only thing I felt not that good is the AF but then I've yet to adjust the settings for that one... but definite its SHARP... dont throw it away yet
Yes I've had one for awhile- really like it! Quick handling and of course full use of X system lenses! Think about adding a MEIKE grip for even better handling. Favorite lens so far- the 18-55 2.8~4 XF R OIS.

It’s interchangeable!
The Meike grip is fantastic, the ergonomic posture of the hand really helps with bigger and heavier lens. I personally use an adaptor for vintage manual lens and it's great, also a great way to explore different focal lengths for cheap, although the kit lens is not bad at all! The camera is really good for the price, highly recommended!

I thinking of getting the ax-3 i do photography as hobby for 6 years and wanted something new other than my phone to work with as i feel bored using phone to take pictures and want to try the film simulation feature on fujifilm

I loved watching the whole process. I noticed all of the photos are during daylight and you mentioned the xa5 is not that good with low level lighting. Now, I enjoy taking walks at night and would like to know how well it would be at night. Do you have any samples?

Hey! Can fujifilm xa5 save custom presets of film sim like other cameras? Cause as i know the xt30 can save up to 7 custom film sim on it but idk if fujifilm xa5 can save any or not

Sir could you make a tutorial on how to make and save recipes on here please ? The menu seems different to other Fujis so I've found it impossible to follow tutorials made for the more advanced models.
Thanks for your video. Could you please test the xa5 with other lenses please? Does the 16 80 work with this cam? I'm interested in a small and light weight camera for travelling with a good image quality.
The 16-80 works really well actually! I just got rid of my 16-80 but it was great. The only downside was that it was way heavier than the camera itself. So it was a little weird to handle. Honestly, the kit 18-55 lens that comes with Fuji’s higher end cameras is a great match for the x-a5!

I honestly have no idea! haha I've never used the x-a7 before! I currently use the X-e3 for my fun camera and I love it! But the x-a5 was great too! It's a little slow in the autofocus department compared to some newer stuff though
Hey Matthew I need sort of advice please, is it worth to buy this camera and just use it with stock lens for now? (I can have it for 200€ is it good price? I am tight on budget so not planning invest more in lens for now) or is it not worth it and shall I stick and take pictures on my iPhone 13 pro and the results will be similar? I am amateur but I like photography a lot and wanted it to take it to next lvl but I am really not sure if this will be a difference from my phone. I mainly take a pictures of my toddler, nature streets cars etc. Also can this camera take better pictures than my old entry lvl DSLR D3200? I really hope that you will help me to sort this dilema out ♥
Absolutely! It’s worth it! iPhones can take great photos now but having something from fujifilm will make you absolutely fall in love with photography. This camera feels great, it’s easy to use, looks cool, and the kit lens is not bad at all! At some point I’d look to upgrade to a prime lens with a wider aperture but for daytime use the kit lens will do great! You won’t regret it!
@@MatthewWagnerFilms thank you very much I really appreciate your fast feedback! Unfortunately the A-X5 got sold quickly, so I coulnd´t pull the trigger. What do you think of Canon EOS M100 or Sony Alpha 6000 or Lumix GX80, would this also be still good buy in 2023 and competition to A-X5?
@@tonysoprano3138 ah man. Bummer! I’ve owned a Sony a6000 and I didn’t like it at all. Very lifeless to me and it has the old sony color science which is rough. I can’t speak to the lumix, but the canon M series is fantastic and easy to use! An m-50 is what i started on!!

Are you using Jpeg? Or raw? Because I have a problem with jpeg because it's more like the red and orange are so vibrant than other colors. It affects the skin tone of the model. I don't want to use RAW since I can't transfer it to my tablet😢

It just depends on your needs! For professional shoots? I wouldn’t use it. But for street or fun/travel stuff. It’d be an awesome little camera to take along!

Is it good for sports photography?
No. Sports photography is sony Alpha 6000
how good the auto focus ?
It’s not bad at all! For photos anyway. Every once in a while it’ll throw the error message up. But not super often. The lens makes a big difference too

Sorry, but you have to get closer to people and do to take photos not from behind to call it "street photography".
