    The GCB-95 had a bass variant, the GCB-100. Same circuit, simply one capacitor that is changed for bass. It is a lot more 'competent' in that configuration but there is a huge volume drop when it is engaged. I like it because it is very close to Geezer's Wah on Bassicaly. The volume drop makes it hard to use in a live context so I am looking at a replacement. Thanks to your well executed review, I will probably go for the Ibanez as I need for both guitar and bass.

    I started to fall asleep on vox and wd7 woke me up, it's really a demon❤ In addition, judging by the design, the Ibanez care about safety: when you returning late from rehearsals, you can protect yourself from a gang or a pack of wolves by putting it in your bag. My choice is vox and wd7. It's a pity there was no cry baby bass mini, Geezer wah and Cliff Burton's. Oh, and a cheap AMT Bass Japanese Girl. Sorry, my English is not good enough 🎉 thank you for video and your room is musician's paradise

    About weeping demon and the separate footswitch, this is only one option to be turned on. You can switch the lever on the left to auto mode and wah is turned on when you press on it.

    Ive been on a bass wah search and have tried all my guitar wah's then bought a dunlop 105q bass wah its ok for the price. Squeek tip idea for wah pedals use a high grade fire arm slide lubricant its thicker stickier than regular lubricating oil.
    I have a wah fetish have had a few weeping demons and do not use that model anymore.
    Mega wah brand is nice . Snarling dogs too nice quality. Would like to try ibanez v1 or 2 in future.
    The dunlop 95q is not bad.

    great demo thank you. I have been using the Weeping Demon on Bass for years including double bass, and I love it. except the pedal does not stay in position well when I want to use it as a filter. Did you have the switch in the low setting? You also have a range control under the pedal to adjust as well. you really have to play with the settings to get a feel but mine is set at 3:00 cloak, 11:30, 11:00, switch in low and range fine tune is all the way to the left I do want to try that triungolo labs wah, that squeak would drive me insane if I can't solve it lol. so maybe the Ibanez. I need a second wah.

  • @MegaHairybum

    Wah on bass doesn't happen often enough 🙂
    I like to EQ split the signal before the wah, put wah on one channel with guitarish distortion before and after, leaving the bottom end unaffected, just a bit of gritty bite, or just on top 2 strings of a P-bass with dual (parallel) output. Great just left static, as a tone control.

    • @adamwalcott_official
      @adamwalcott_official Рік тому +1

      You should try connecting another wah to your clean channel as well and run in parallel. It takes a little jerry-rigging as you have to drill some holes in the tops of your wah pedals, so you can attach a thin plank of plywood (covered in grip tape) to connect the two pedals. This way, you control both pedals simultaneously. It really is the best option for split FX signals. I learned this from Tim Commerford, I can't take credit.

    I have two wahs that I loop through my Helix Floor along with some other pedals. I primarily use the Justin Chancellor fuzz wah for actual wah'ing(?) and then Morley PFW for that classic activated Morley tone. However, with the PFW you basically lose all low end. I recently bought an EHX Tri-Parallel Mixer that I run the Morley PFW through with a channel EQ'd for dry low end. Now I finally have what I want. Lol

    • @davedixon2167
      @davedixon2167 2 роки тому +1

      heyyyy it's mister Gill! You can just use an Effects Loop block to have the PFW in a loop blended with clean, or you can have the loop send/return itself on a crossover parallel path that is only the highs! I did that on my Helix FX, where I had almost all the effects on a highs-only path, and put the fx loop to the wahs in that path.
