Another great podcast. Love the way you are showcasing a pattern and all your great knits. You two are so upbeat. Love
The out takes are a hoot. Love you guys.
Awww 🥰 your both so much fun!! I truly enjoy your creativity and fun spirits!! 🤗
Lovely episode once again! You two should host a Ranunculus - A - Long.
It would be fantastic if they did, I have no knitting friends or buddies.
Such a great episode! Thanks 🙏🏼
I am so happy to find your channel! Ranunculus has been on my to knit list for ages. Today is the day - I think I have the right one in my stash. Beautiful knitting! ❤️❤️

I'm glad I found you ladies! So far, I have knit 2 ranunculus sweaters! I do have plans to knit more! I love the sparkle in some of yours. Looking forward to more podcasts.

First time watching and really enjoyed it. I just purchased the Ranunculus pattern and look forward to going down that rabbit hole in the future. Thank you!

Love the bloopers at the end.
This is the first time seeing your podcast! Thank you so much for all the information on your beautiful Ranunculus this will be the next project on my needles 🥰🧶
Love your podcast ladies, now I’m inspired to make the Ranunculus!
Love your podcast.
Enjoyed all the Ranunculus variations!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your podcasts! You make a great team! So enjoyable to knit and drink my coffee with you guys in the morning. Looking forward to many more.
The sequin sparkles are beautiful.
Thank you for sharing. I have a Ranunculus on the needles right now. I want to try it in different yarns. It is such a fun knit. Happy and healthy knitting.
Loved watching this as I worked on my second Ranunculus. Love that pattern, I get a little sad when the yoke is done. You mentioned so many helpful hints that I will keep in mind. Thanks !
I’m so glad Kim mentioned how to go back and watch each episode y’all have done! I couldn’t figure where to find them before lol. I’m especially happy to watch this one on the Ranunculus pattern. I bought it when it first came out but have been afraid to try it. Now I’m convinced to give it a try seeing all the different yarns y’all used. Thank you!
Love your sweaters. I will have to check it out
You two are just so cute! I love watching your podcasts. I feel like I am sitting with friends.
Loved seeing the Ranunculus parade! So inspiring! Your chats are so fun to watch. Thanks for podcasting 😊. Rachel (in TX) (Yarn =Joy podcast)
Lovely video and gorgeous knits!
Oh, and I really enjoyed this episode. Very useful!
First time watching......love your podcast!!! The Ranunculus is fabulous....its in my queue to knit....
It was fun listening to you both. Take care.
I’m going to learn how to knit just so I can knit my own Ranunculus!!! I’m a UA-cam taught crocheter and recently binge watched your channel and have been inspired to learn how to knit. I’m super excited 🥰🥰🥰.
Thanks so much for sharing so many of the details of your sweaters. It will be really helpful as I knit this pattern for the first time.
Oh goodness there are so many opportunities to make them each unique to suit the wearer's style and location. Beautiful. Your friendship and love of family is the core that shines through every episode.
Gday ladies. I’ve planned to make my first ranuculous this year and your video has reinforced the need. I have some heavy weight mohair so will wait until the cooler weather before starting that. But it’s on the list xox
So many great Ranunculi ! I love this pattern too and have made 3 myself. Now I’m inspired to make a long sleeve one for winter.
Exactly why I made my black one! It's very cozy even with the yarn overs.
Your my favourite new podcast. Really enjoy your podcast.
So good and fun, thank you. Those tops all look so light airy and feminine without being fussy.
I love your podcast! The relationship the two of you have is delightful! I have, just yesterday, purchased the Ranunculus pattern and look forward to choosing yarn after seeing all of the lovely projects you have knit from this pattern. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Keep us posted!! Jonna
Ranunculus has been on my bucket list forever - but not anymore! I see a cast on very soon….Thank you for making my day….
Ranunculus is also my favorite sweater. I knitted three last year and i have plans for a least three more this year. Your sweaters are all beautiful! I love all the different yarns you have used to knit them, I have to knit a mini ranunculus for sure. Awesome and fun episode! thank you for sharing your knits.
Thank you! Yes, check out my Ravelry page for my modifications. www.ravelry.com/projects/Knitmatician/ranunculus-2
Thank you ladies for another great podcast. Purchased the pattern and will hopefully have the top completed before the hot summer comes
Wonderful!
Today, I spent the whole day watching all of your videos ^^ You two are the best motivator for me to continue with my WIPs. I've made such a good progress on my first shawl and my current pair of socks. I can't wait wait for your future vidoes.
I hope you're both well and have a nice day :)
Best wishes from Germany
Thank you for your sweet note! It's motivating for us, too. I do need to get a handle on my WIPs though!! That's another episode ;-)
Thank you from Norway. I just found you and are enjoying your episodes. and YES - Tynn means thin.
Whew!! I thought I had hear that somewhere. Thank you and welcome!!
A friend recommended you and I’m so glad I tuned in! You’re banter is lovely! I, too have knit many ranunculus ´s ! They’re a fun knit and a great gift!
Thank you and welcome! Kim just knit another one for herself and I am currently working on a mohair version for my son's wedding. It's such a fun pattern.
You guys are so good together. Your life stories are so human in their details. Just discovered your podcast this week and already binge-watched everything. This “minisode” was amazing. Seeing so many versions of this sweater definitely makes me want to get a move on and knit myself and family one. Thank you. Happy new year.
Welcome!! Thank you so much for your kind comment. Keep us posted if you do!
Always wondered what the fuss was about the Ranunculus. You've totally talked me into it, going to buy it right now! As always, thanks so much for the enabling and entertainment!
Woohoo!! I'm wearing my black one right now! It's BRRRRRR chilly here though. Keep us posted.
Another fun podcast! You both have really great chemistry and take to this naturally. I’ve knit two Ranunculus for myself and my daughter. Two different weights and different sleeves. It’s one of my favorites and now you’ve convinced me to knit a third. I had to look at mine because I don’t recall an I cord bind off. I did long sleeves with ribbing and regular bind off.
I do love that you can make whatever modifications that you want "on the fly" so to speak. It's a very forgiving pattern!
I'm so glad you were honest about your daughter's PPD and the struggle of her situation, and also the ranunculus round up was extremely inspiring,
I so enjoy listening to you both discuss your knitting. What a pleasure and a beautiful friendship.
Thank you so much!
Ranunculus is in my queue. Watching you gals makes me want to get it on my needles. Lovely sweaters.
Go for it!! Keep us posted.
Great timing! I'm working on my first Ranunculus. Can definitely see more in my future!
Nice! Keep us posted! I'm wearing my black one right now.
What a lovely podcast! You have just showed in my suggestions and I am glad I watched an episode. I have made 3 Ranunculus sweaters so far and have yarn ready for a fourth one. And that is not the end of it.
Welcome!!!
What a wonderful video! I knit my first sweater in 2020 and finally decided to jump on the ranunculus train. I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about how the main pattern photo just doesn't do it justice so I went back and did more digging and decided to give it a go. Thank you for all your tips and tricks, I will be applying many suggestions to my summer version. You both are delightful so I'm glad to have found your videos for future knitting and watching!
I’m binging all your videos and LOVE them all. Now I really want to knit the Ranunculus Sweater. You ladies are gems 💎 💎💕🧶🧶.
Thank you so much! ❤️ 🧶 K&J
Every where I go its all about Ranunculus, One of my favorite flowers I must make one of these sweaters. Thank you this podcast has finally convinced me to get this pattern and just make it. Was looking for a cute summer top and this just has to be the one. Thank you.
Hi Jlee!
We talk about more Ranunculus's in Episode 5!
Thanks for watching. ~K&J
Lovely ranunculus sweaters, I am late to the ranunculus train but have knit 2 for my adult daughters. I want to knit one for myself in 2022.
A true sign of friendship, when we can share bumps in our lives, and help one another along. I cherish my friends, and I can tell the two of you compliment one another so much. Love how you have a story behind each knitted garment. The sparkles showed up well too!
I just had to thank you Kim, for the tip about moving the cast on stitches when starting the cuff of socks.
How fabulous another podcast and all about the sweater that’s been on my list forever to make. If they isn’t a push in the right direction I don’t know what is. Thanks for this episode I loved seeing all your projects, hearing tips and tricks as well as the different versions and weights. 😍❤️
Do it!!
Really enjoy your podcasts!!!
Thank you and welcome!
Jonna the sweater in black looks marvelous on you! And Kim that sequin sweater fabulous! Not talking too much. Love listening.
You have made me want to knit my own Ranunculus! Lovely show
Welcome to the club! Keep us posted on your progress!
Ya'll are fun! Enjoying your conversations!
Glad you enjoy it!
Great video. You two inspired me to knit a Ranunculus and started this morning while I wait for Snowmageddon to hit Virginia tomorrow. I'm already on the yoke and it's a fun pattern. Thanks for the inspiration that you provide with each video. Really enjoying your podcasts.
That's amazing! So glad to hear you are enjoying the pattern.
I’m sitting here knitting my first Ranuncunus as I watch you. Almost done with my second sleeve. Thanks for the inspiration to make another one. Love this pattern!
Would love to see it! #showkimandjonna on Instagram.
Hey Kim and Jonna!🤗 I LOVED this episode! I haven't knit my Ranunculus yet but I have everything I need to do so. I needed some tips and was thrilled to hear your suggestions for this sweater! I love all of the beautiful Ranunculus sweaters you've both made! You're such an inspiration! Thank you for taking the time to share this video! Take care!🤗
You're SO welcome! It was fun to make!
Love your life snippets! A number of years ago my husband wanted to see David Cassidy in concert. As we lived on Long Island at the time it was no big deal to drive to Poughkeepsie! Of course I googled a yarn shop and bought a bunch of yarn there, which must be close to you! Keep your episodes coming!
So cool! David Cassidy...pretty sure I had a poster of him in my bedroom growing up!
Happy to have found your channel. Thank you for the tip of not winding mohair with the accompaning yarn. I'm getting ready to knit a sweater with a combo.
Oh, you are welcome!!! No one should have to fix that mess!!
I didnt know what Flashdance was! You ladies inspired me to knit another Ranunculus :) thank you for sharing
Too funny!!! It came out in 1983!! I think that was the year I graduated from high school. Do keep us posted on your knitting! #showkimandjonna on IG
I too enjoyed finding your podcast. I really enjoyed listening to you talk about your multiple Ranunculus. I had to go to the pattern (which I did buy and made only once) and look at the details you were speaking about. I think I had better make it again and follow it more carefully! You have inspired me. I look forward to watching more of you. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Hi I am fairly new here, loved to watch you two talking about your knitting. I will go back now and watch some of your old videos!
Welcome!
I have been curious about this sweater for some time now, so just purchased the pattern and got the plus size part also, thank you for mentioning it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you girls 👍🏻another fun time with you both. I must tell you Jonna that you have inspired me to have the yarn on my pinky finger now because I am a loose knitter and it helps me to get a better gauge👌🏼🧶All the best, Tone
Thank you! It really changed my knitting for the better. xoxo Jonna
Thanks for sharing all of your Ranunculus sweaters. I have been wanting to make one for awhile and finally cast one on last week but had to rip it out since the neckline was too tight. I was happy to see how you adjusted yours to make a larger neckline. I’m inspired to restart again this weekend. 🧶
You can do it! Email us if you have any questions!
Just came across this video. Thanks so much for showing off all of your ranunculus sweaters. They are beautiful. It made me wonder with as popular as they are whether you have seen any made into dresses. It's an idea that popped into my head and you two seemed like the best people to ask.
I feel like I have seen one!! I'm sure there's one on Ravelry. www.ravelry.com/projects/AmyBohnert/ranunculus-3
Hello from Germany. So interesting watching all your ranunculus versions!!! Already looking forward to the next show. All the best for you. Kindest Bille
Thank you so much!
You have inspired me to put the Ranunculus on my list to knit, truly, I thought it just looked too hard but….you have moved me to reconsider. Thank you!!
You can do it! It looks more complicated than it is. The directions are very clear. Keep us posted!
thanks for a nice episode. Greetings from Denmark
I just found your video from another podcast. Loved it. I have knit on Ranunculus but was not very happy with the way it turned out. I had decided it was not for me. But watching this video makes me want to try again. I will cast on one in black right away. Thank you ladies.
oooooh, keep us posted!!
So glad to find your podcasts and look forward to watching back issues. You both have inspired me to try the Rannuculus but am leery of the fit. The pattern shows it as huge on the model.
There are over 10K projects so start there. I made my black one with DK on a size 8 needle. I have a 34" bust and have just the right amount of ease...maybe 10"? Adjust your needle size to go up or down! Good luck. It's a very forgiving pattern.
I would love to see Kim's knitting journals!! :)
Yes! As soon as we figure out the gimbal so that we can film from above, we will do that!
Great podcast! Y’all just gave me an idea of which stash yarn I can use for my Ranunculus!
What will you use?
Hi Joanne and Kim, really enjoy watching your podcasts. I am learning to knit at the moment . I am so inspired by your work, hopefully one day I can make a Ranunculus jumper . Have a wonderful week ladies.🌸🌻
Thank you for watching! And you can do it! Just cast on that Ranunculus. It's such a fun knit. ❤️ K&J
I have to agree with you gals, the ranunculus is quite addictive to knit. A quick knit, enjoyable and easy to follow. It’s a very satisfying knit too. The details of the pattern is so beautiful. I’m guilty of two, one short sleeve fingering w mohair, and a bracelet length in worsted weight w the I cord bindoff 💞. Thank you for another fun video!
It's a great gift knit, too! So glad you tuned in.
I really enjoy watching/listening/knitting to your podcasts. Your format is thoughtful and easy to watch. I haven't been tempted to knit a Ranunculus...but you've changed my mind. Kim-I still need to go back to the beginning :). Today I'm knitting the first sleeve of my Il Grande Favorite by Isabell Kraemer in Eco Soft by Isager and loving every stitch!! Enjoy your projects, ladies!
Thank you! How are you finding the Eco Soft? I bought it as a substitute for Snefnug. I hope it softens up with blocking! Jonna
Thankyou for your podcast. I have now watched them all from the beginning and they are so fun with lots of beautiful knits. I have made 2 Ranunculus so far and plan to make a few more. Knitting is great therapy especially for me. I taught myself after losing my son and now bedridden for over a year it has been a lifesaver.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad you've found solace in your knitting. It reminds me of Dana from Yards of Happiness. She lost her father and talks about it in her videos. Here's a link to her videos! She makes lovely things. ua-cam.com/users/YardsofHappinessvideos
Hi Jonna and Kim, I started watching your podcasts in December. I hadn't knit in several years and due to an injury that has me stuck in bed for awhile, I decided to start. So, of course, I was looking for tutorials on some basics and somehow one of your episodes showed up in my feed and I've since watched them all and look forward to new ones as you post them. As a beginnerish knitter, I am inspired by your work and love the fun that the two of you have. Thanks for creating these!
We're so happy that you're recovering enough to do some knitting! It keeps us both company, for sure.
One of my knitting friends said the Ranunculus was her favorite pattern, so I made one and its wonderful. Thanks for showing us all your wonderful versions. My knitting group (6 of us) have decided to all make one as our own small KAL. We will keep you posted on our progress - probably starting them in April. Your podcast was very inspirational. I can't wait to see the MOG Ranunculus.
I need to get started on that!! I just bought a skirt on JCrew so hopefully it compliments the yarn I chose.
Just subscribed! Never knit a sweater before other then baby size, thinking of trying this pattern for me !
Go for it!!!
I stumbled over this podcast because it showed up in my feed, with "Ranunculus" in the title. I *had* to watch because, late to the Ranunculus Party, cast one on in the fall (2021) and then set it aside just as finished dividing for the sleeves, because I had other things to make for Xmas. I've now finished 1 long sleeve (ribbed cuff) and am on the body (a bit longer than called for, and ribbed at the bottom). I'm inspired by all the versions you've made and how they look on very different people. Thanks for this -- I'm going to try some of your other episodes now...I love the back-and-forth between you! 🙂
Welcome!!!
You two are the dearest! What sweet and kind people you are. I’m going to download this pattern immediately- I’m inspired! So happy the learn about Westchester yarn shops; 20+ years ago, lived in Hastings-on-Hudson. Can’t wait to drive from my home in Bucks County PA, across the new Cuomo/old Tappan Zee bridge to visit Tarrytown and Mt Kisco shops. You feel like old friends already…keep up the great videos. 😊❤️
Yes, come visit! There's another great shop in Hastings-on-Hudson on Main St called The Observatory Shop. Also, if you make it up to Cold Spring, there's a new one there called Endless Skein. You can make your own little yarn crawl! Keep us posted. Jonna
You bring a smile to my face with every episode. You both seem so normal. You inspire me to attempt something I feel is too ambitious for me thank you.
I assure you we are very normal!! Thank you for your sweet comment.
So glad your podcasts came up on my feed. Have watched most of them, but bounced around doing it. Just finished your field trip to Westport. What a fun shop! The more you shared, I was surprised by common occurrences , lived in Corte Madeira until moving to Sonoma for high school, spent many years in Portland, my husband’s family is in Vancouver, Wa. And my daughter-in-laws name is Jonna.
Small world, looking forward to your next video.
Wow! That's a lot of similarity! I worked at the Corte Madera Nordstrom back in the 80s! Thank you and welcome!
This is so lovely. I am very interested in the knitting but definitely stay for the friendship., You both look wonderful, I have not knitted a ranunculous but mostly because I like to make up my own patterns. Jonna I loved your skirt too! Have a lovely week. Catherine
Thank you and welcome!! Skirt is from notPerfectLinen on Etsy.
Kim, if you want to see an upper arm shake, just come to me. LOL! I have yet to knit a ranunculus, but it’s on my list. It’s nice to know it’s a quick knit, and it’s very tempting to just skip the swatching after watching you! Fun episode as always! Happy New Year!
I suppose, since there are so many ways to make this sweater, it's probably a good one to swatch! Don't do as I do....Jonna
I write it down as well as have the pattern on Knit Companion: I use color markers (fine) and even use stickers. I was putting in labels of the yarn as well as a bit of yarn but it became to bulky. Nice to look back and see what I made, with what, size, how it fit, did I like it, etc. Love your podcast once again! Keep it up ladies!
It’s all about figuring out what works best for you, right? I’ve tried various ways of keeping track, and finally settled on good old pen and paper. But maybe I’ll take a peek at Knit Companion… ❤️ Kim
I’m a new Renuc addict. Love this episode 🧶🥰
Haha!
