- Attempting to repair two gameboy advance sp ags 101 screens. One with a vertical red line down the middle of the screen, and the other with just a blank white screen. Usually the lines can also come in different colors as well and have several at a time too. I also forgot to mention this method also works with ags 001 screens as well.

I have a gba sp platinum onyx limited edition 001 that I absolutely BABIED when I was a kid and that red line appeared out of nowhere while playing zelda a link to the past. Maybe I'll try doing this fix sometime
Thanks, it also worked on a 001!
Just came here to do the same with a 001.
The 001 screen looks completely different when apart.. I’m stuck right now and not sure how to proceed.
@@caseysturtevant1545 you just gotta do it where you see the contacts are. it seems weird and scary but works. Good luck!
I have a GBA SP that works fine except for the fact that once turned on it has a light red background all over the screen. Can it be repaired this way or do you have any other advice?
This happened to me on my normal gbs but its a blue line and is only vidable when the game had black on it
Gracias .muy bueno
Gracias por comentar ")

Hes great at what he does, he's very patient to explain and diagnose everything he fixes
Sirve calentar para una pantalla original de GBA Clasica?
Si tambien sirve ") no sirve en todas, pero en algunas si
hello, does it work with psp screens?
Sorry I wouldnt know since ive never really seen the issue myself for psps
I’m assuming this will work on a 001, right?
Yes, you will just need the different right polarizing films for 001. The ones im using are for a 101
found my childhood sp today and it just crashed, went white and won’t do anything now Iv tried turning it on and off and different games it’s just a white screen do you know the issue?
If its not even playing games, then it might be an issue with the motherboard. If it is, then its probably a loose connection from the ribbon on the screen.
@@retrostashrepairs ye it’s not playing games at all just white screen like on this video, I’ll open it up later I’m hoping I can fix it
yeah... but not at 380°C please, 250°C is way safer
Some irons need more on the setting to get the heat all the way to the tip so most likely the tip was around 250 for it to be working. although I see your point not telling people to put it on that level on there iron cause it could go way higher then 250 and burn it in a couple seconds. My iron actually has to be set to 410 before the tip will get to 255-260
Pretty interesting! Nice video
