"Minor damage to the shell”
That looks as bad as my mental health
You know thats not true, the gameboy doesnt even come close.
Haha, please get some help
🥺
Stop letting yourself be brainwashed by the liberal media and your life will improve drastically. For starters, the chyna virus has over a 99% survival rate.
@@RockyMountainWest13 ok but this isn't political at all
Man...so much nostalgia. The Gameboy Advanced SP was my #1 favorite handheld console back in the day. Sonic Advanced 1, 2, 3, and Sonic Battle, were my most played games. I even used to have the Sonic X episodes back when movies/TV being released as cartridges.
And I don't know why this comment got auto deleted when I said nothing offensive in the slightest! I can't stand UA-cam sometimes!🙄
@@SegaDisneyUniverse I thought i was the only one who cannot stand UA-cam
“The connecter is also fragile I need to be careful around that” *Frantic scrubbing ensues* xD
"This unit has some minor damage on the shell and needs to be restored".
**Screen is detached from the body.**
We leave that part out
I only understand about a third of what you're doing but I find your videos super interesting and satisfying to watch.
Wow, so clever with the pokemon names. Also, the condition it was received in before its makeover definitely indicated it was well loved. This was such a precious video. Thank you!
I love how a gym leader list sticker was on top I really like that idea. Too bad it wont go well with my 3ds
The funny thing is that those are the Gen 4 gym leaders, and the GBA can only play up to gen 3, lol
"minor damage to the shell" like as in a kid chucked the thing across the Grand Canyon?
Lmao
I definitely love the look of the replacement shell (and why it had to be done) but one of favorite parts of these videos when he makes the old shells look like new again!
Yeah, would be much more interesting to see the original shell and ribbon cable to be repaired. Felt a bit like cheating to me.

My 3 year old loves these vids, and he just fell asleep to this one.
Made my night easier and showed us how to fix a GBA SP, thanks man 🤘🏻
This gameboy: obliterated
This guy: give it to me, that’s easy
A "hold my tools" moment.
Compared to all his other vids this one is actually easy, he just bought a bunch of replacement stuff and scrubbed the motherboard with alcohol a bit.
Imagine how beautiful that sp gonna be with sapphire version cartridge 😍
slick as ffffuuuuccckkk
I got the cobalt sp with sapphire, spice orange advance with gold and yellow colour with.. you guessed it. Very beautiful indeed!
Idk, but as someone who had the blue SP and Sapphire, the way the cartridge just blends in.
Aw man, the SP brings back some glorious childhood memories
Late nights under the covers playing Final Fantasy IV Advance...
Final Fantasy games on GBA are among my favorites too :)
Looks great! I truly appreciate your restoration of old tech. My favorite was my old GBC, which I can’t find. It was my 2nd handheld, although my DSi XL is a close 2nd.
I really didn't think there was any hope for this one, well done
Oh dear, just looking at the state this Gameboy was in hurt my heart! I had a red Gameboy Advance SP growing up. I always appreciate seeing the lengths you go to in order to fix these broken systems. You make the work look fun, but I'm sure it's super meticulous. I envy your tinkering skills; I'd never be confident enough to take something apart and know how to put it back together. Keep up the good content!!
if this shell only has "minor damage" i wonder what he considers major damage
A smoldering pile of melted burnt plastic and ash
I LOVE YOUR PFP
Being broken to pieces aside, this looks like it was probably a kickass gameboy back in it's day! Those stickers are sick!
This man could restore my faith in humanity
Pokémon is the first big pop culture phenomenon I missed out on due to my advanced age... makes me feel old. I was in my mid 20's having my first child when Pokémon came out. I have no connection to it beyond being simply aware of it... GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!
it's never too late! anyone of any age can enjoy it :)
“Odd Tinkering Prensets”
I'm glad someone else noticed! X,D
lol!!!!
The last portable system I had was a Gameboy Advance. I sold it at some point. I kind of miss it. A backlit screen is a must, especially for us older folks. Nice restoration!
"Minor Damage" - Literally broken in half. Never change, Odd. lol
The hinge seems to be a more common issue, my little brother broke his in the exact same way, mine still works 😁
If I smelt some isopropyl alcohol, no doubt it would instantly take me back to the times of cleaning tape recorder heads!
“Are you familiar with the thought experiment, ‘The Ship of Theseus?’ in the field of identity metaphysics?”
Naturally
I love when you restore old video game consoles like the SP. It like watching surgery. I had one during middle school. So many good memories
"Hey this button is starting to stick"
"Have you tried greasing it with nutella?"
you do realize WD40 is the main ingredient in Nutella?
@@giovannifoulmouth7205 wow i never noticed
“Time to see what’s wrong with it”
Ummm so the problem isn’t that it’s falling apart lol 😂
I've been looking for a comment like this XD
Nice man always feel calm and soothed when I watch these. Thanks bro
That SP was very well loved, my first one looked about like that (minus the broken hinge and not being able to charge) by the time I got a DS.
I'm sad not to see the stickers make a return lol. Great work as always!
When I was little I remember that everyone had this except me, because my parents didn't spontaneously get me videogames.
Then, when I was around 7 I asked for a Nintendo DS and It will always be my favorite console. Hopefully one day you'll get to restore one!
@Anonim Kişi I think it depends on the type of person you are. I've never had gaming problems because I find it easy to quit if I have to do something else. If you organize yourself you'll be able to deal with it no problem
Haha, didn’t see that new shell coming! I was thinking to myself, “Wow, how is he gonna fix this?!” 😂
Yeah, not really a restoration, when he replaced all except the battery and hinges
@@Julmaa87 there's not much options apart from buying a new shell
I would LOVE to see a DS Lite restoration. Especially if it is one of the lighter colors (ice blue, white, coral pink), because the plastic used for those colors tend to yellow over time. I am curious if your retrobright technique will be effective. I'm super picky about restoring old consoles and your videos provide the most satisfying transformations out there!
When he opened it up I was like "wait a sec, mine is broken in the exact same place...did he steal mine?"
"won't charge either" hmmmm that sounds mighty familiar.
Next question do you recognize those stickers?
3:06 General Kenobi! You are a bold one...
Those old stickers on it are such a style tho, it will be cool if you have a whole old sticker peeled off from old console collection!
I remember when the SP was new. I was 4 when my brother got his and I got his Advanced as a hand me down. We still have them both, and they still work good as new. Don't use them much cus emulation exists, but it's fun to go back and play on the actual hardware every now and then.
I lost my old SP that had a Mario game in it at a daycare that my mom used to own :[ That was years and years ago, but I'm still sad about it. I got a new SP recently, and it's one the looks like a SNES!
Amazing. He cleaned it so hard, it went from being silver colored to BLUE! :)

Thank you for restoring a piece of my childhood.
Your asmr skills are so soothing and the end results are beautiful thank you for making these videos. I also recommended your channel to a gamer friend of mine and she will be stoked!!!
