In this video I build a gameboy advance mod with a new IPS V2 Lcd screen, a new shell and a usb c rechargeable battery kit. I forgot to mention in the video as well that even though this was an Ips screen ready shell. I still had to do a bit of cutting. For some reason the new Ips screens do not fit well anymore like the older ones use to. #gameboy #gaming #nintendo #ultimategameboyadvance retr...

It's possible to use this same speaker mod on the normal NDS Lite?
For that pixel you can try "Stuck Pixel Fixer" it's a rom that flash the colors on the screen, it can sometimes fix those pixels, but be aware if you are susceptible to screen flashes
Stylé
So I had the original 1996 Bop It toy and decide to play a quick game before going to bed it said twist it and I wasn't able to do it in time then I tried again and when I twisted it instead of it playing the sound effect it made weird distorted noises as if it was possessed by a demon now it doesn't work at all
Amazing stuff dude. Do you do anything crazy like turning tamas into usb c rechargables? Could you?
Ça déchire
thanks a lot! this gave me a lot of hope. i used a soldering iron with a too high temperature for a small PCB, which soldered off a copper ring on my Logitech G305 mouse. i wanted to change the mouse switches/buttons for silent ones. but hey, even if i end up having lost 35€ (~30-35$), at least i learned sth from it ..i guess. well, hopefully this video will prove useful :D
it is a cool mod! i do however feel a bit sad for what once was a perfectly working ds, but still it is cool
How much do you charge for a backlight modification? I need this! 🙌🏼
You can msg me on instagram ")
@ what’s your IG?
@ never mind I got it! 😅
Oh shit I forgot mine even did that.
Hey can i buy that?
Thas crazy did not know it can be solder in half I was thinking in replacing the whole cable but it looks like it goes squished in the lcd

The craziest fix I've seen while searching for a full flex replacement video!😮
i have a 101 model how much could i sell it for?
Nice video! Do you think it's possible to convert the transflective screen of a Nintendo DS "phat" into a transmissive one by exchanging those internal layers with those of a Nintendo DS Lite?
Amazing trick! Totally worked! Even though i had hot air this is much efficient way!
What kind of soldering iron do you use?
Could you please tell me what tool you used to take out the screws? I cannot find one that works
Who makes the crystal clear color shells for the n64 and the switch lite? That way I can have color matching shells with the gba and gba sp.
Wow i just discovered your channel and i already subscribed, your channel is awesome
Nice video, unfortunately I've broke my screen when removing it from the metal frame, I was trying to be as gentle as possible but no luck...
Please tutorial
Hey I want to backlight my tamagotchi connection 2024 and I was wondering if you could tell me where to solder the wires to like what pins they go to and where would you solder the switch to cause I'm good a soldering I'm just not sure where to put the wires.
I want to do this too but there is so little info on this
Where do I send my tomoclauchy? And how much do you charge
I've got a GBA SP board with the same issue and the VR1 (a 50k ohms trimpot as the data sheet shows) is stuck in 30k ohms. I will try to change it and see if solve the problem. Your vídeo helped a lot. Thanks.
Those lamps in the reflection of the lightboy look like eyes 😅
*looks at the cartridge reader* Ya, George, that ain't gonna buff you.
You are a true craftsman, I lay down my hat in awe sir
Just ordered one on eBay hope mine goes that well.

Nice mod❣️ what size of wire to replace the original wires?
How come it isn’t possible to just carefully clean the individual layers that are dirty/ water damaged, with an ultra fine microfiber cloth ? It looks like they might clean up, as they look like they are primarily made from plastic ???
Can you fix one with juice spilled on it?
Once i spilled water all over my ds lite and games and i dried them super quickly and it worked perfectly! Till this day it still is working amazing and playing games amazingly somehow!
Nice vid, thanks! Just saved my Sega Game Gear! I ripped off a pad when replacing the cap. Thanks so much!!!!😁
Yeah.. so I guess I won’t be doing this
Hi great vidéo ! Do you have the schematic that u used for repair ? That would be great !
why not use 2800mah high quick aa batteries?
is it safe to assume this would also apply to a lifted pad on the volume slider
Looks very doable, I just need practice
OMG...Do you know how to fix bleeding(red light, not white) AGS-101 LCD??
what is that yellow pen-like thing for? what's it called?
yeah... but not at 380°C please, 250°C is way safer
Some irons need more on the setting to get the heat all the way to the tip so most likely the tip was around 250 for it to be working. although I see your point not telling people to put it on that level on there iron cause it could go way higher then 250 and burn it in a couple seconds. My iron actually has to be set to 410 before the tip will get to 255-260
Hello, I want to do this, and thank you so much for the video. I bought some DMG backlight kits and I am waiting for them in the mail. There is one thing though, this video skips the part where you solder the red and black wires of the DMG kit. I do not know where the rest of the wires are supposed to go. The speaker is very straight forward from the video. But at 4:03 I can see a red and black wire from the back of the motherboard and behind that another red wire as well. So it would be amazing if you could help me out with this. I think this is basically the coolest thing ever
Basically it looks like there is two red wires here, one brighter then the other if I am not mistaken. Also, I see the tip of the black wire soldered at 4:03, so the black wire from the backlight kit is supposed to be soldered there? And then I guess if that is true I am not sure about the red one. Anyways yeah look forward to hearing from you
do you have a video that fixes an sp that powers on but the lcd doesn't come? Verified screen is good and working btw.
this was so helpful. I was only getting a couple pixels on the screen and tightening the back screws made it work again. I cleaned all the parts, but the left button is still no working. any ideas?
Awesome! Glad I could help 😊 and maybe cleaning the rubber membrane with IPA, or slightly and gently scrubbing the contacts with a tiny piece of sandpaper 🙂
What is funny is at the time of its release pokewalker was one of the most accurate pedometer. Which is a cool fact
