Go use an android or one of the several other different, smart phone, OSes that are out there on the market that allow you to have customization to the point where you’re basically building your own operating system. Stop trying to change the one thing that’s thinking different and catering towards a different clientele than you.

One thing I didn’t like about android is software updates, but Samsung has changed that recently to 4 years I believe. Overall, android is 100% no doubt a better option, more freedom, more apps and more features, iPhone on the other hand does stuff it needs to really well, so far even though I missed all the things from android I didn’t feel like iPhone has done less to me, but I will probably switch back just because of the freedom of android. Before 13 pro i owned oneplus 3T and 6T for reference, I am not too familiar with the newer models since I directly upgraded to an iPhone a year ago :)

If the’re gonna bother putting side loading for EU I don’t understand why the don’t give it to everyone. Its a feature that almost everyone wants and doesn’t hurt to have 🤷
cause they don't want to lose the monopoly they have with in-app purchases that Apple takes 30% from each transaction through their payment service. They only allowed "side loading" and choosing default browser cause the EU forced them to, otherwise they wouldn't ever lose this business opportunity. Same as the Type-C charging port. I don't think Apple would have ever changed from lightning atleast till 2030 minimum, the EU forced them to and in hardware side it doesn't make sense to create both lightning and Type-C phones, so they just made all models of 15 series with Type-C port.
If it’s anything like the concepts they may be apps but you’ll be able to place widgets of those apps on the dash/screen like you do on your Home Screen
@@starkisama3473 that’s a good point, but they could also do that with different widgets from within the same app just like is commonly done on the iPhone / iPad. That would also require the user to set them up which isn’t a great user experience on something like CarPlay where there’s really not much to configure traditionally.
That CarPlay integration with the existing features of your vehicle is SO COOL!!!!! Being able to _control_ already playing media from your car's built-in radio is nice and all, but you still have to leave CarPlay to switch frequencies or audio sources. It would be nice if you didn't have to leave CarPlay to do ANYTHING--including things like changing climate settings. That's exactly what Apple is trying to do here, and it's honestly quite impressive!

Most of these could have been handled with App Store updates. Like for instance the Messaging App, which is basically just like any other app and could have been updated through the App Store, but no, Apple wants to release a new version of iOS because there are some new emojis.
