The 80s and 90s were such a fun time to be a teenager/young adult. For the most part, everyone got along great. You notice in this video ALL the girls are really pretty (they were back then!!). No one is trying to fight this nerdy kid. There are no weapons, drugs, alcohol or cussing. Proof that you can have a good time and still maintain a certain level of integrity.

That's Ricki Lake. That reference dates the song and the target audience.
Greatest Hits is a sampling, but it's missing Jennifer Lost the War, which is an amazing song, and so indicative of where they were going.

God how I loved this song and the video even more...pure classic and the kind of rock that rarely makes it to the top anymore. I grew up in the 70's but I remember really loving the 90's, not as nostagia, not afterwards but at the time I was aware that this was a high point in music. Love it.

I walked into a tattoo shop just as the lyrics about getting ink done were playing. I turned around and walked right back out again. I ended up with the tattoo 2 years later but there was no way I was getting it done at that place.
