Thank you. As soon as the chorus came in, I knew right away. I was hoping it wouldn’t take me long to find a comment referencing this Beatles tune. I wasn’t disappointed. This tune is OK, but it just makes me want to hear the Beatles more.

Dexter Holland, the lead singer, has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, both from the University of Southern California. Dexter was a Ph.D. candidate in Molecular Biology; however, he abandoned his Ph.D. in favor of focusing on The Offspring, according to IMDB. He is also an FAA licensed Airline Transport Pilot. He owns and flies a 2003 Cessna Citation jet 2. And, on top of that, he graduated from my high school way back before I attended! 🤯

At some point, they must have said “there are a lot of people who are in bad relationships with freeloaders, and it is making them miserable or angry.. No one is talking about it. Let’s write a song about that.” Great execution. And the video is fantastic. One guy literally flies in out of nowhere and speaks the truth. Pretty soon, the entire town is on board.

Come Out and Play and You're Gonna Go Far should definitely be next. You will know it's The Offspring, but they will sound completely different yet again. I was fortunate to see them live back in the day. Such a high energy, fun concert that was. Typical Offspring.

You know what? I've known this song since it came out but today it was the first time that I had that same thought in my mind! I didn't have a specific Beatles song in my mind, but it was the Beatles. It was just the instruments they were using. I would have gone more in the direction of Penny Lane but no, you're absolutely right! It's definitely sounding like Obla Di... :)

Uhm, album before next drop was "Days Go By" from 2012, no 15 years between those, almost 9 years though. I know it was pushed back several times from it's initial intended release in 2010, but they continued writing and working on it til it was released
I saw them live in 2019 pre COVID. They are still great and sound good live! ❤️💯

Their song "Bad Habit" from the album Smash was what introduced me to this band back in the 90's. Featured pretty much all the swear words I knew at time point, as a non-native English speaker. I was instantly hooked.

Americana was one of my favourite albums of all time. There were some really unbelievably good songs on it even aside from the singles, such as the title track, Have You Ever/Staring at the Sun and Pay the Man.

Offspring "Gone Away" came in 6th in 2005 Greatest Hits. It was written by lead singer Dexter Holland in an emotional response to his girlfriend’s death in a car accident. This song was what put them on the world stage.
