INGREDIENTS ▼
3 lbs flat cut corned beef brisket (1.4 kg)
1 packet spice mix included with corned beef
1 tbsp black peppercorns
6 baby potatoes (scrubbed and cut into quarters) (about 1½ lbs)
2 medium carrots (peeled and cut into chunks)
½ tsp dried thyme
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 cloves garlic (minced)
½ head cabbage (cut into 5 or 6 wedges) (1 lb/450g)
½ cup water (120ml)
Salt to taste

Perfect. I also like doing the vegetable separate. Don't care for the boiled vegetable in the liquid if you're doing it stove top.
