Fought for the Golden Order, Kicked out by the Golden Order, then brought back to life just to save the Golden Order. Yea I'm burning it down

😢 So why papa Godfrey beat us because when we were succeeding?
@@illusion6477I'm trying man the quest are so confusing sometimes😅😂
Godfrey is a pure tarnished. Fucking 10+ feet tall, strong and leadership material.
He was too real that Marika had to nerf him with Serosh
Good father also
@@thecommentguy9380 im pretty sure it was because of his never ending lust for battle so he took on serosh of his own accord
Ez boss tho
@@jaylenstephens7891 yeah that's the nerf. See how relentless he got as soon as Serosh was gone?
Oh so every single tarnished used to fight for the golden order?
No, Fia and Dung Eater (among others) were brought back because Marika knew they could create a mending rune.
Not every single one. Take Bogart or Patches. There are folks who grew up in the Badlands who found grace likely because there was a place for them in the grander scale of things
I think its more of a lineage thing, since they seem to be people brought from many different lands and times. So if you have a Tranished ancestor, you get brought back. Though, there seems to be people who are still alive that are coming back, so.
they (we) were brought back by grace, an abiding force of the greater will. the golden order was created by Marika when she took away the rune of destined death, which was a terrible idea and I think it's pretty obvious the greater will was not pleased by that
Not every single one. The descendants of Tarnished, people raised in the Badlands for separate reasons, and random fuckers from both within the Lands Between and from other lands were all given grace as well.
As long as the Great Will thought you could restore Order back into the Lands Between. You were given grace. First it was just tarnished, but as more and more years passed. The Great Will started choosing more and more…unique candidates in order to restore the Erd Tree.
“Wow that’s a lot of words, too bad I don’t understand any of em”
The single best answer to the game I’ve ever heard .
There's so many innacuracies here...
-Marika is (probably) responsible for the plot against Godwyn. She shattered the Elden Ring because she wanted the world to be freed from the Elden Beast, thus she called back the tarnished to see which one could bring change.
-Not all tarnished fought for the Golden Order. Fia and Dung Eater were called because they could create a mending rune.
-Hoarah Loux is Godfrey's original name, he was given his second name after becoming first Elden Lord and then Serosh began to drain his bloodlust away.
Marika does not care what changes the tarnished bring as long as there is change indeed. Radagon is the one who attempted to restore the ring (and thus the golden order).
Most of elden rings lore is speculation, so fextra life is not wrong
@@FencingViolinNerd But most of the stuff in the video contradicts information in the game...
@@FencingViolinNerd I think one of the most unclear things in the lore is the timeline for me. If the timeline gets an oficial version, the everything else becomes much easier to guess.
Your understanding of the lore is very ınaccurate as well. Most you've written other than Marika is responsible for Godwyn's death is literally wrong :D
Dude, your comment is rife with inaccuracies and speculation.
It's really quite disrespectful and arrogant of you.
Nothing in the video is objectively wrong or contradicted by information given in the game. whereas yours is mostly speculation based solely on the assumption that Marika is responsible for putting everything in motion. Whilst there is some validity to that hypothesis, there's nothing in the game to confirm this.
The only issue with the information presented in the video is that it ignores the other origins (classes) of the tarnished.
Incredible high summary of the story
I love these shorts. I don't even play Elden Ring, but adore the lore. Keep em coming!
Hoarah loux has always been a warrior he gave it up for marika to be a more civil husband, thats why when your fighting him he fights as hoarah loux in the 2nd fase
I would honestly love an Elden Ring DLC set in the Badlands...just the name itself, begs me to explore and experience it.
Wait, we're soldiers from the same army brought back to life to fight each other? That's tragic
Elden ring lore should be turned into a live action film directed and produced by Peter Jackson. I would trust no one else to do it a service like he would.
My personal belief of the events of Elden Ring is that the story is a carefully coordinated scheme by Marika herself to kill the Elden Beast and free her domain from the clutches of the Outer Gods. From her shattering the Ring to weaken its hold over her family, to coordinating the night of the Black Knives with the help of her children so they would have someone completely severed from the Greater Will's influence, to staging an entire war in an effort to conceal the plan, even planning that the Greater Will would call the Tarnished back to the Lands Between in an effort to repair the Ring, knowing they were the most able to defy the Greater Will entirely and even stand against the Gods. There were many risks with this plan, such as Ranni's associates still being under the control of the Greater Will, or the possibility that the Tarnished who does challenge the Elden Beast will simply repair the Ring or even bring a worse God onto the Lands Between, even issues of Marika's other children turning against her, such as Miquella attempting to make himself into a new God. Still, despite such a massive possibility of failure, Marika refused to sit idly by and let the Greater Will and the other Outer Gods continue to seize control over her people, so she was willing to take the chance, no matter what it would cost her, to break them free of the yoke of meddling Gods once and for all, so the world could hopefully live under the rule of man, not Gods.
Our greatest strength is our immortality
Marika infuriated because of an assassination she orchestrated herself 😂
May Chaos take the Za warudo!
I cottoned onto why were called Tarnished not long ago. We were removed from the grace of Gold, which cannot Tarnish. And thus, we became Tarnished ourselves.
I felt so god damn dumb when I realised lmao
Why can’t this game just have actual quests
I walk around for endless hours feeling lost at times lol
So our tarnished really went to far his only mission was to end the war and become the elden lord but we said fuck that im gonna bring death to this world
may chaos take the world😂😂😂😂
I saw a theory that the tarnished are a demigod, and they are an illegitimate child of marina from one of the walking mausoleum’s. This was because the sounds of one can be very faintly heard in the opening cutscene
I start to think Frenzy Flame is not a bad idea
DS2 lore, but Elden Ring
Extra life gets the lore right some of the time.
Imagine a badlands dlc
There’s a theory that the character you play as in Elden ring is actually a child (bastard) if merika, because when you first load in the game you hear the walking bell towers, what’s in those walking ? The bodies of the headless bastard children of merika, now it’s not forsure it’s just a theory but me personally I have stuck by this theory because it would make a lot of sense making our character a Demi god, we are able to kill god like beings and become Elden lord, we the last child of merika touched by grace
The tarnished were just a means to an end. There is not enough information to even separate marika from Frieza. Sayian/tarnished were a means to an end to accomplish a goal after they accomplished or got far enough they were discarded.
This just shows only Ranni ending or Frenzied Flame ending is better by miles.
I’m still listening to this like huhh??
I fought for them, they threw me out, called me back, and didnt expect me to take my blue demigod wife and peace out like they forced me to before?
Godfrey was Hoarah Loux even before he became Elden Lord, we don't know what Badlands are and where.
to think Morgott was able to beat Radahn
These videos just make it more confusing lmao
Oh, the important details were either left completely left out of order or entirely out
I thought he was horah lou BEFORE becoming elden lord?
And Marika joins Nashandra and Moon Presence as the main female antagonists of their games that caused everything bad to happen.
Hopefully we can get more info on her in the DLC.

Even worse, there is a strong theory that the unknown tarnished (you) was an illegitimate child of marika thus making you a demigod, hence why we can do all that we can.
Tarnished: Oh now you want us when shit hits the fan?

Yea also no one knows why marika exiled Godfrey
But it's likely she was unhappy with her omen children after her golden boy was taken
Basically Elden ring is about to mom's going crazy after losing a child and what the other children are left with
@@Chessheromusicmost probably because she wanted power for herself
which also explains the existence of radagon, she needed a consort to entirely accept the greater will's power, and created a second body
@Chessheromusic I might be wrong but I was under the impression that Marika sent her husband out into a territory of constant combat so someone who was so battle hardened would come back and be able to defeat the creature holding her hostage.
@Mr12345pokemon thats my thought too
Something tells me Marika had the thought of shattering the Elden Ring for a long time, for the way Melina speaks of it, Marika would send away Godfrey and his warriors and then she would make them come back once she had shattered the Elden Ring, so they could implement a new order when they reforged it, that also explains the Tarnisheds in the intro, almost all of them have a rune of their own at the end of their quests, rune that when implemented in the Elden Ring, brings a new era.
Marika's strongest soldier is a naked man with a club

@@squishybrick listen, I developed a complex system to best the demigods. When that failed I bonk.
True warriors have no need of armor...
moreso a naked man with two swords and a jar on his head
From what I understand there’s 2 generations of tarnished
Gen 1: Godfrey and his warriors,
Gen 2: the descendants of Godfrey’s warriors
Well the establishment of the Golden Order and Godfrey's exile was some long time ago so more than 1 generation of descendents would exist but yeah you're correct.
Kinda.
Look if it was ONLY warriors from the Badlands we would all be the same race and class.
But we're not all Hero Warriors. Some of us are Nightkin Prisoners and Draconic Priests and Land of Reeds Samurai.
But there is ONE THING ALL Tarnished have in common. Banishment. Every single starting class and race was Banished from their home. So are the Tarnished we meet and interact with.
Which means the only thing you need to be a Tarnished is to be Exiled from your home.
Godfrey and his Clan qualify automatically. Their whole tribe is Exiled.
But like, Fia. She ain't a Warrior. (She's actually a Dragon but I'm not going there) But she's a Tarnished. She wasn't in the Badlands... She was in a Tomb.
Tarnished are just Outcasts.
@darkhobo We have to be Graceless to be tarnished and immortal because that is one thing we all share. Also it doesn't mean we aren't all descendents of his warriors because they conquered all of the LA ds between meaning they would have people from all over.
Incorrect, we the tarnished died and were resurrected to fight and kill the demigods, there is no second generation. Horah aLoux cannot die of old age that’s why he’s been around and the rest of us haven’t, the first scene is us being resurrected
@@silentknight9356 Except we know there are generation's of tarnished because there are kingdoms and countries outside the lands between, places that were made after the Long March and the tarnished spread amongst the other world. For the foundations of kingdoms and countries to exist it would take considerable amount of time, enough time for multiple generations to exist.
Tarnished can die and permanently die, as we see with multiple during the game. Marika even states that they will live and die in lands outside the Lands Between and their souls will return.
Godfrey living long could be simply due to him once being Elden Lord or a number of factors but it doesn't discredit their being generations of tarnished, in fact nothing you said disproves there being generations of tarnished. More things prove that there are.
This was easily the most informative and digestible Elden Ring lore video I've ever seen
Bro your username ☠️

@@MrJollyBear it's a short dude you're setting the bar way too high
@@MrJollyBear what? Are you having 2 different conversations right now? And you're wrong in that one too. The fandom is literally toxic because of how hard they want the games to be
I mean it's cause it oversimplifies things a bit. There are weird implications that Marika may have arranged the night of black knives that the tarnished were sent away to grow stronger out of the greater wills reach unlike her kids. She might have helped ranni a touch with getting ahold of the black knives.
The rune of death seems to be in a time distorted storm after all. We only get there guided by grace and Melina. It doesnt seem to be a place you can get to without Marika wanting you to.
The stakes of Marika in the place are evidence of this. We're meant to be here. Why?
She wanted the tarnished to become lords from the beginning, but first, she wanted to create a vulnerability and to change the order permanently. Hewgs status as the roundtable Smith the promise he made to Marika to make a god slaying wrapon. This was intentional. She wanted this. Presumably because the greater will terrified her guven her church wirds we hear from Melina. So she fought against it after setting up a way to do so. The demigods are guided by this will. Thus they cannot accomplish her wish. Godwynn was the golden child- this could mean he was capable of restoring the order possibly undoing the damage his mother had done. Or maybe she wanted him to create the rune of those who live in death. The godwynn bit other than the rune kf death which is needed to get past the thorns ultimately is open to speculation.
That said his death seems too convenient for her. She was questioning that which would not tolerate being questioned implied she'd send for us after we got stronger for reasons she didn't explain. And when we're called back it's to this mess.
I think we were called back to make an order of our own so that no outer god controlled everything so that the choice was with men. Not the gods trying to guide them.
Tldr: the subtext makes the shattering look planned, like Marika saw something horrifying in the order and intended to rebel using the tarnished as the means by which to topple the order and rebuild it anew without the influence of the elden beast and greater will cintrolling the ring. She had the tarnished leave so that the greater will couldn't stop them from getting strong enough to one day topple the elden beast.

@@doomertube7050 You were his maiden.
@@NorsemenMead it's canon. It's the reason why Margit says something like "warrior blood must truly run in thy veins, Tarnished"
I believe the reason we’re effectively immortal is because destined death (the death rune) is sealed within Maliketh. And, as tarnished, we are essentially the only thing that wasn’t twisted when the shattering happened because we weren’t connected to the grace of the the Elden Ring. It makes us not only quite fitting, but also the only ones that can still become the Elden Lord. The only reason we fought Maliketh in the first place is because we can’t truly kill the Elden Beast unless the death rune is reclaimed.
Edit: what gives further credence to the whole immortal thing is that every time we rest at a site of grace, all of the non-boss enemies we fought are revived and waiting to attack you again. They’re being revived all the same, but they’ve been twisted by the shattering
slight correction and i could well be wrong, it's pretty vague but i dont know that we actually kill the elden beast. it's clear we can't kill marika or radagon even with destined death unbound and since they're tied to the elden beast it's likely the elden beast doesn't die either. what we do unbind the rune for which is actually confirmed, is burning the otherwise impenetrable thorns
Grace denies our death until we either give up or the Greater Will discards us, this is why every other Tarnished you fight die permanently, because Grace has abandoned them. That said, the other thing that can still canonically kill us permanently is Destined Death, the power that can kill even a god
@@thecommentguy9380 Exactly this. This is the reason why in the opening all the tarnished featured are literally dead with grace appearing nearby signifying they're revival. Godfrey was basically dead, so was dung eater who was being lynched.
Why u say "we" 😂 we are not tarnished warriors we are just fat gamers scrolling youtube shorts
@@demon5965 haha I took it as "we, the player". but I like your version better. The call of long lost grace speaks to us all, we are all tarnished in this blessed comment section.
It was supposed to be Godfrey who'd become Elden Lord again as a tarnished, like it was Marika's plan from the very moment she banished him and his soldiers.
That was the plan. But since 2 tarnished stood before the Erdtree, the Greater Will decided that only one will stand before the Elden Ring. A legend, champion and first Lord of the Golden Order and a Nobody who had to fight long and hard to earn their place before the Elden Ring
Gideon also got to Marika@@thecommentguy9380
I'm pretty sure godfrey was horah first, then married marika, who made him sign a prenup to become godfrey, won the war then was exiled.

Not entirely accurate but yes
Yeah. Now I'm pissed. As a message I once found said, "Be wary of but hole!", Marika

Yeah same here
Godfrey* you mean
I belive it was that he took his old name and position back he was always hourah loux he jut took the name Godfrey when he married queen marika to show that he was no longer a mere chieftain but a king
you can interpret it as Hoarah Loux being his original name and being a chieftain in the Badlands was his true position and him behaving/looking regal as Lord Godfrey was an act as that's what's expected from a Lord. That's why when he fights you are in his second phase he introduces himself with his original name and says he's 'given courtesy enough' while fighting in his true form
He was Horoah Loux, then he became Godfrey, then he became Hoarah Loux and when you find him he's back to being Godfrey but then he changes back to Hoarah Loux.
Ill never get over the fact that Morgott kicked Radahn's ass.
I think the most credible argument I've seen is that he was actually kicking Rykard's ass in that frame, since Radahn was mentioned to be the mightiest demigod even before the shattering wars, and that guy with red hair is more or less normal-sized. Plus, we know that the armies of Leyndell and Gelmir had some of the nastiest back-and-forth offensives during the Shattering Wars.

Thank you for this!! For over 2 years Ive tried my damndest to understand Elden Ring. I beat it, started NG+ and haven’t picked it back up again until last week to prepare for the DLC. You just summed up everything I’ve ever wanted to know concerning what “our” purpose is playing as the tarnished in 30 seconds. Great job
It is kinda wrong though. Marika wasn't furious when Godwyn died and it is suggested she had a hand or knew of it because the Black Knives were her assassins, not Ranni's. Also Ranni planned it with Rykard and I imagine Radahn knew about it because they all respected each other as siblings. I believe Marika wanted Godwyn to die because she saw that the Golden Order was doomed and could not be saved and was tired of being God. It is implied that godhood is a prison based on St. Trina asking us to kill Miquella to prevent him from becoming a God. Honestly the dlc reveals alot about Marika and how messed up she was
The fact that this canonically reveals dying in Elden Ring is canon because Tarnished will always return is hilarious when you think about these bosses fighting the same person 50 times.
What's with that giant skull in caelid?
He was Hoarah Loux before he was Godfrey, not the other way around. Marika brought him from the Badlands to the Lands Between and made him her King Consort because he was a menace on the battlefield and she needed a bunch of dragons and giants dead.

Bro @@live4aces
Saying "Marika destroyed the Elden Ring in a fit of rage" is highly incorrect.
There are multiple descriptions and dialogues that leave Marika's objectives up for debate. For example, the Black Knives had access to the death rune that Maliketh was protecting, with him suggesting Marika has betrayed him, to Marika herself saying in one of the churches, which we can hear by Melina, that she wanted to abandon blindness faith to pursue the truth.
Even the weapon of Marika states that Radagon wanted to stop Marika from destroying the ring, which was also herself as she is the Elden Ring and she knew she would be trapped. It could all be easily a master plan. Letting Ranni access the death rune by betraying Maliketh, so that Ranni would kill Godwyn, so that she would destroy the ring so that Tarnished would come back and be able to form the world to what they wanted as the runes were split. Also, even the fact Radagon stops us from entering the Erdtree with his rune, clearly, is something that supports the fact it's not just a fit of rage causing this world to descend into chaos leaving the choice up to a third party, that might come with something like the Dung Eater's rune, include it in the Elden Ring, and fuck the world up.
Limiting a character that was able to split herself somehow, have babies with herself and planned the return of the Tarnished motivations to a "fit of rage" is definitely a choice.
I think she broke the Elden Ring because she was scared Ranni would take her Place not knowing Ranni did not what to become Vessel to the Elden Ring and knowing the Grater Will wanted Ranni to become the next Vessel Queen Marika smashed it to defy the Grater Will and brake her connection to it
I also really like the masterplan theory so it would shape her to be the victim under her facade using Ranni to steal the death rune to kill her son so she would have a reason to destroy the Elden Ring
Who knows, maybe we could get some answers in the DLC 🤷♂️ But I’m pretty sure she broke the Elden Ring because she was mad is not at all the general consensus nor does it make sense for her character
I don't know if she did it as a fit of rage, or a master plan, or she just wanted to be free of it all. But what I thought was, Radagon was defending the tree because he/she lost their free will after betraying the golden order and the greater will by destroying the Elden Ring, and that the Erd Tree beast was using him/her as a puppet to continue holding control of the world, while Marika/Radagon is nothing but an empty vessel at that point for the Erd Tree Beast and the greater will to control.
i guess Marika really wanted to be free of the golden order.
i mean who the hell wanted a slug and a gender opposite residing inside you?
@@hhowdyThat makes no sense. Ranni's plan didn't rely on the Elden Ring existing as it was or not. Breaking it only helped Ranni's plan move faster.
I knew it, our tarnished is immortal. It perfectly makes sense.
Been with you since DS1, keep up the great work, brother 🫡
Elden ring should get a show adaptation with the events that take place before and at the times of the shattering
Why did she baneshed them ?
Because she was forced to marry Godfrey, and wanted to be free of him and any other binding the Greater Will placed on her. She used him and his armies to establish the Golden Order as the reigning power, then kicked them out and "married" Radagon.
@@edoardoprevelato6577 Another possible reason is that she was already setting in motion the end of the Golden Order; forcing the Tarnished to grow stronger than anyone in The Lands Between by having to fend for themselves in the Bad Lands (implied by Melina when citing Marika's speech in one of the churches).
Especially plausible when you consider he got Hewg in place so he'd help the Tarnished by crafting weapons powerful enough to kill a god (herself/Radagon).
@@CamiloFHSC your point is perfectly subsequent to mine. Of course Marika wanted to destroy the Order too, but she still very much wanted to rule.
In Godfrey's armor set description, it is said that he lost his grace(will/purpose) when his las worthy enemy fell, as Godfrey's true nature is that of Horra Loux, a warrior. So, Marika sent him away with his soldiers to a land of endless war to fufill him and train the tarnished in hardship so they could return sronger.

(Note my character was like Placidusax’s like right hand man and I was with him when farum Azula wasn’t in ruins and I formed a bond so strong with him that while he was stuck in time I was too and thus survived all those years.)
Hope you like my characters backstory!
I believe Marika sent the tarnished away so that her enemies could make themselves known and begin their plan to overthrow her.
Marika could not have anticipated who was going to be targeted specifically, so I do not believe that her son's death was part of her plan.
Thats why i like rannis ending, it puts a new perspective on things and breaks the cycle.
The cycle was just fine, it worked well. Ranni turned everything to shit by destroying her half brother's soul and causing the deaths of untold millions just so she could avoid her duty as an Empyrean. Her ending is just trying to sweep the shit under the rug and move on to avoid repercussions while leaving the world to try and rebuild by itself whilst you and her fuck off on a 1000 year voyage.
what i realy dont understand is that how r we immortal but fia and gideon and hoorah loux die
Just so everyone knows - this is public information… 💀
But… why strip the army of their grace? They’ve just risked their lives for her in a major war and then she strips them of their grace and sent them and her husband into exile.
because... women ☕
@@edbert69 because.... misogyny💪
It could be done by the greater will or marika either ways they were probably vanished becoz they probably had the power to claim the elden ring for themselves. Think about it they are super strong defeated the giants, seeing their power they could be a threat to the greater will or marika if they revolt. Seeing these prospects, it's better to cast them away from the elden ring. No powerful people= no powerful uprising. Also see when we returned with the grace, we could achieve so much(of course we were immortal) and an army of such capable individuals could even overthrow the greater will or marika's leadership.
Oh, so varreh was right after all
Basically, they are our poor soldiers who get sent to fight for rich people. Kinda how it is in real life.
I COMMAND THEE, GIVE ME A ELDEN RING MOVIE! Just please don't fuck it up. It has sooo much potential to be one kick ass movie. The only problem is everyone would be infighting about the ending, which would then become canon. I guess they could end it by showing the tarnished beating elden beast and then when he's about to decide the fate of the lands between... fade to black. Leave it open to interpretation that way everyone just wants more instead of disappointed in the ending.
In the end, everything that happened was Marika's plot, including the death of Godwyn.
Everything she did was to end the greater will's influence over the lands between.
This story is too much man.
Thank you sooooo sooooo much for explaining the lore of elements ring in such a conscience manner I really appreciate it
Trying to follow the plotline in Elden Ring (or any of the dark souls games for that matter, must be what I sound like to my friends when explaining conspiracy theories 😅
My question is where you got this lore from?
Dialogue and item descriptions.
Is Tarnish immortality like that of Highlander? Because our Tarnish seems to kill a lot of other Tarnish, and they stay dead (NPCs I mean)
I never understood why the hell would I want to save something for a queen that treated us like shit after doing everything for her? F the tree F the order and F the outer gods!
It does not say marika was furious about Godwyn's death or did it in direct response to his death. In fact it is more suggested that she helped in his death because the black knives were her assassins.
Not to mention the other sus shit she did....
@theonewayroad3867 Exactly. Marika pretty much gave no bucks about her children, and even told them to either make something of themselves or prepared to be sacrificed to someone who will.
@@PaulSmith-nb6md Yeah, I just find it funny that people try to say that Marika was just a grieving mother and her shattering the ring was just a result of her rage at Godwyn's death when we have a bunch of odd things that wouldn't make sense did unless she was plotting some shit.
Like stripping her Husband and his warriors of their Grace then telling them to go die in the wastelands, where she'd give it back and then come back and wage war and " brandish the Elden Ring" or imprisoning Hewig and making him forge a god slaying weapon ? Or even committing genocide on the Fire Giants but leaving one alive and cursing him to tend to the Flame of Ruin for eternity one of two flames that can burn the Erdtree and is considered extremely heretical ?
And aside from that the DLC just reinforces that Marika ain't winning any Mother of the Year awards with the whole Messemer thing. And the less said about Melina, Morgott and Mohg the better....
@theonewayroad3867 Oh for sure. Hell this DLC proves that Marika's sins were the reason all her kids were cursed from birth. And I do me her kids as Radagon's kids were all fine and Radagon wasn't part of her bs. Hell the fact that St. Trina wants you to kill Miquella kinda proves that being a god is not great and only causes problems for everyone else.
@@PaulSmith-nb6md Too bad Miquella seemed to take more after Marika than Radagon....
Godfrey, consort of Marika… 💀💀💀 OR WORST HOARAH LOUX, CONSORT OF MARIKA 😭😭😭😭😭
Don't you have some more wikis to shut down, Fextra?
I love you fextralife
im roleplaying a confessor that still believes in the golden order but wants to fix it
Like Martin Luther? That’s pretty cool
I am playing a confessor who saw the flaws in the Elden Ring and understood that Marika said kill them all because everything was wrong and needed a knew start...something untainted by the Erdtree and it's grace
They should make an Elden two where some of the characters are actually tarnished . that like your character they are immortal . and that beating them doesn’t kill them . that you the player cam defeat them like you can be defeated but they just spawn back at a site of marika or grace . to truly defeat them they should make new mechanics where they cam be chained or trapped or fall eternally or many other creative ideas 💡
This whole short is full of bad info.
Godfrey was already exiled well before the Golden Order. He never was a member of the Golden Order. He was Elden Lord during the Age of Plenty. When the Erdtree produced Sap.
The Golden Order started AFTER Radagon left Rennala and became Elden Lord. That's when the Golden Order started. Godfrey was never part of it.
And the FIRST Tarnished were Banished with Godfrey. But not all Tarnished are part of that Tribe
After Godfrey's banishment anyone who was Banished from their home became a Tarnished.
That's how we have people from the Land of Reeds and Carina nobles, Nightfolk, Numen Draconian. etc as Tarnished. If it was ONLY Godfrey's clan then everyone would be the same race and class. They would all be Warrior and all be Hero class. But that's not the case.
The only thing ALL the starting classes and races have in common is they are Exiles or outlaws. They've been rejected from their society.
Furthermore... Marika killed Godwyn.
This is Confirmed in the DLC. Marika literally sends Mesmer to crusade against Godwyn. The shadow lands are Godwys realm. He is the Prince of Death. And the shadow lands are where Death Converge. Its the Dead lands. So he is Prince of the Shadow Lands.
He was Hourah Loux first. He only became Godfrey after binding Serrosh to him.. How do you take lore videos seriously when you get easy to check lore incorrect.
Not quite accurate, he was Hoarah Loux originally and when Marika took him as Elden Lord he took the great lion onto his back to curb his wild nature and he became Godfrey. When he lost his Grace and banished he returned to his Hoarah Loux identity.
Not all the tarnished were warriors either. Some were prophets who had visions of the erdtree burning, some were disgraced nobles, some were criminals, etc.
