I loved Blue Mink . The chemistry between Madeline Bell and Roger Cook was great . You could just tell they had real affection for each other .& Madeline should have been a much bigger star .She really shone .
it's a corny line but their voices go together like coffee and cream. simply sublime.
Incredible voices Madeline Bell and Roger Cook💖💖
Great rendition 24 years on 👍
Man ! They brought tears to my eyes ! Favourite when I was young !. Love. Trinidad & Tobago.
Both are looking and sounding amazing. 2023 first time I heard this song. Amazing it never gets played..
After all these years and they sound still just as good
Their voices were made for each other and he hit the nail right smack bang on the head with his lyrics. The man's a genius! Thank you Madeline and Roger. We need you back today to write and sing songs that make us think.Great musical talent!

Beautiful song.. melodies.. arrangement.. playing and singing.. beautiful words.. as with 'Our World'.. by the same beautiful people.. a huge influence on me.. musically and personally.. right from square one.. pretty good influence to begin with :) Big Love to Blue Mink! : )
I have seen the 1970 version. After two decades Blue mink 's voice was still amazing and they were looking great!
i was hoping that the world would change, since the moment i heard that song, but it is worst.
Fantastic! Just as it was in 1970
Madeline Bell , was and still is a great singer Blue mink were fantastic
Yep! what a fantastic song and still is when I hear it. She was one to watch , both of them With Roger the writer. Yeah takes me back and I'm 76 now. Great times indeed
I heard Madeline performing on the Big Band Special on BBC Radio 2 the other night. It's just great to know she still around. She's just Fab! XxXxX
Randy & the beautiful Stay With Me are my fav Blue Mink songs. Cook Greenaway wrote many songs for many artists.
Madeline is a fabulous singer
Give me this type of music, over what is produced today.

There is a lot of us out there and for sure we are leaving our foot print
Herbie Flowers! Listen to the bass on Melanie’s “Candles in the Rain”. Turn it up. That’s Herbie.
Timeless and such well preserved voices
I loved Blue Mink when I was growing up.
This was a beautiful song about anti-racism.
Brings back good memories 😊
Yes, The New Seekers do a great version of the Blue Mink song "Melting Pot" . I have the album and the new CD with it on. They covered many Cook & Greenaway songs, specially a song I like very much titled "Somebody Somewhere (Is Waiting To love You)"
As good as the original, great band, brings back some great memories....
Yes, I believe Alan did. But can't beat the real thing! BLUE MINK
Tin Pan Alley session man Herbie Flowers features in our upcoming documentary Tales From Tin Pan Alley. See the trailer at our youtube page
😁🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍
Super sweet
It's me again. Happy New Year of the Dragon! Stop Killing people ...PLEASE.
We can learn from the past it's just that certain people don't want to
I was bought up on the 70's version. We all get the message. World Harmony. Everyone the same. But I'm White. So. I like my colour. But I also like the message of the song. I don't even tan. In the sun. Joking aside. I like The Banner Man better, as a tun/sing.
I’d like this to become a law!!! 😂😂 I’d love to come back in a couple of hundred years to find that all humans are practically the same colour. I guess they’d still be fighting about religion and land ownership though, can’t win sadly.
peace+luv ta da werld
HERBIE !!!!!!
You've got to watch what you're saying here or you are getting done
Madeline still strong
@converse91970 Thanks - Mr Barrymore has some more problems to deal with I gather from today's news!
Mint
@converse91970 It was from Michael Barrymore show. The Rogers also performed on the show "You've Got Your Troubles" . I believe that is on youtube too? if not let me know and I will upload.
yep my ma s fave band back then great tune and message but sadly prob not pc nowadays
The skinny kid filled out.
Anyone know which show that was taken from?
Well that's what's happening.
alan partridge....pinch
The song talks of 'turning out coffee-coloured people by the score'. No doubt if such a melting pot turned out white people by the score then they wouldn't be so keen on the melting pot. The fact that people are different and have different cultures, languages, ancestries, etc, is what makes the world an interesting place. The mistake people make is to think that cramming different peoples together in the same place in the name of multiculturalism is a good thing. Believe me, it isn't.
Hey Putin, you ( insert rude comment here ), just listen will ya. Why can't we all, just get along, please. 2023
So ironic that this song advocates racial harmony, yet it is politically incorrect.
Shite!!!
her teeth scare me
I so love this song , why can’t we all accept each other as fellow humans and except one another for all our faults
