the c651 was meant to be refurbished, but those refurbished prototypes were scrapped due to teething problems, high cost and also given the fact that it was pointless to refurbish them when they were already plans to withdraw them from service in the next 5 or so years. I agree with him, the C651 has the best motor. Sounds similar to my favourite childhood train, the Seimines Nexas in Melbourne.
I grew up with comengs but my favorite sounding train is the xtrapolises which the c751a sounds like, they’re just too good to beat
@@Detrabot I lived on the Belgrave and Lilydale lines and I got a little sick of the xTraps, so I would be excited to go to the former M>Train area and pray for a Nexas. And damn I really liked it and I didn’t know why, but later on in Singapore I figured it was the motor.
@@xaviording615 I can relate, but with the Siemens because I was on craigieburn lines and now Footscray lines.
And also the hydraulic sounds it makes when the doors is closing

C830c has old announcement 6:09
5:50 switzerland lausanne train sound
the c651 was meant to be refurbished, but those refurbished prototypes were scrapped due to teething problems, high cost and also given the fact that it was pointless to refurbish them when they were already plans to withdraw them from service in the next 5 or so years. So thats why they cancelled the program. Scrapping the refurbished sets were a waste of money though.
They could have converted them into geometry track cars or reused them for emergency drills, but what has happened just happens.
I agree, C651 tops it
My favourite is C751A
Was this before TEL2??
I remember takeing the north south line. [Pls remember next is tampines but simei.]
0:54 no wonder it sounded so weird I thought it was a new train I guess I was lucky last Tim
