Interesting. A lot of golfers should be looking at this as I see lots of discussion about the price of equipment keeping people away from golf. If we want it to be more accessible for people this is the way to go .
Iv got the Boom Boom 4 iron in my bag (think I accidentally left it out when I sold a set in the past), I play it alongside my set of Lynx VT's. Really easy to hit and well made made. I just had to change the stock grip.
Taylor made RAC OS.....Wilson deep red irons with fat shafts. I've owned so many iron sets over the years but these two stand out. By the way the benross htx type r irons have been the longest set I've owned by some margin. I hit distances I've never hit before or since. They are the one set I regret letting go .
Nice video, I have just bought some irons for my son who is now big enough for an adult set. I got him some blacked out cleveland cg14s which are a nice shape cavety back and have lots of bounce on the lower clubs. I am quite pleased with them for £70 posted...
As I’ve aged, 68, I wanted a performer and as a pensioner, I wanted to spend less. I spent $225 dollars on some Adams Idea Tech iron set with 3 hybrid hybrids and 5 hybrid irons with some nice fubuki shafts. They are great.
I had a complete set of BenRoss hot speed 2 driver, 3 wood, hybrid and irons that I bought for £50 including Callaway chev org bag and ping Scottsdale tr tatum putter. Kept the bag and putter sold the set for £100 and managed to pick up a bag with Callaway big Bertha 2008 irons in basically brand new condition and couple other clubs for £100. After selling the other clubs and bag they only cost me £60. Bargain!
Been playing for 18 months and I'm down to 14. I have a set of taylormade supersteel burner irons. 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, Pw, Aw, Sw, Lw. Should I be making a change in order to closer to single figures? Oh, and my driver is the Ping G30, 3 wood is the Ping I20 and my putter is the Ping B60 Karsten. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Just an idea of distance, I hit my 7 iron 165-170 yards. Great channel Simon With great content. Thanks
Great vlog for budget golfers like myself! Re Benross, do you think they are still producing the same quality now they are no longer independent and under AG umbrella?
Had Wilson's from the John Daley Wild Things (your way to young to know about these...) right through Fat Shaft Di100 Di7 Di9 C300 Forged now in D9 Forged great clubs especially the Fat Shafts for someone just started.
Hello from Canada and Cheers for the videos. I have built a set of clubs this year from scratch. I got to replace my 5W, 8 and 9 irons still tho. What would you suggest for those 3 clubs? I use Callaway Big Bertha 2 Driver, Callaway Fusion 3W, Callaway Hybrid 4 and 5, Dunlop Loco 6 and 7, Mizuno PW and Titleist SW. I'm a natural draw swing, 6'2 180. Thank you so much for the videos/information about golf. 😁
Huge fan of local options for us in the UK. Got nearly new Hippo H120 with KBS shafts for £70 second hand. They are only £190 new and customised. Check them out Simon.

I play Wilson staff defy combo irons very forgiving
Md golf do a lot of forged forgiving irons too fond them for cheap on ebay
I would assume most of these are just going to be side grades for my Titleist DCI 981s?
Most forgiving irons ever Callaway Hawkeye Tungsten irons. Super easy to hit ultimate forgiveness
$200+ in USA
You're not shopping where I do then. I just picked up a set 4-P for$70. I'm in Wisconsin.
Thanks for watching guys! Let me know if I missed anything that you think should of made the list!

I’ve got the D100s and now I don’t feel like I need to question my irons 🎉 driver on the other hand…
Lynx named their 'Boom boom' irons as Fred Couples played Lynx clubs and his nickname was Boom Boom!

Mizuno mx100. Can be bought for less than £100 and feel great.
Yonex VMX £100 beats all in this list
Lynx VT fucking rules. Took four-5 strokes off my game. Less accurate, incredibly forgiving.
Titleist AP2 710/712 are the best actual BUDGET club
Ben sayers great irons I still have them
