Yes, Jujutsu Kaisen did a lot for your channel, but I and everyone else have to appreciate what YOU did for Jujutsu Kaisen, your every animation breakdown video or post has shone the light on things that, for example I, would have never noticed while watching JJK, be it positive or negative things. This video is also amazing, explaining how JJK isn't just "cool fights for neuron activation" show, but it has an amazing character development, interesting story that makes sense and a well-thought out power system that can't be simplified to power of friendship or random magic.
You are my favourite youtuber that covered JJK and it made me interested in your other videos as well, so I'm looking forward to more of your content and (hopefully) more JJK breakdowns when culling games drop
Gege really wrote Hidden Inventory and then Shibuya, this season is one of the best.

I just reread all of the culling games and I still think it’s good. It’s not a culmination of story like the Shinbuya arc is (as this video discusses). It’s more so doing the work of developing our existing cast of characters, introducing new characters, expanding our understanding of the JJk world and establishing a new status quo and what that means, all to prepare for the final arc of the series. And in that regard, I think it does a good job and what could have been a fairly standard tournament arc ends in an unexpected way that truly raises the stakes of the series.
@carlnapolitano9314 I mean, the culling games is nothing but fights and no character development. So that's not good and the reason why it's heavily criticized. It's all the problems with Shibuya x10.

I recently caught up with it & I just completely agree with everything. It was a really special moment in the anime community to have literally everybody talking about it. Literally everybody involved in it came together to deliver amazing product. I really hope they get it together for S3.

0:30 this is such a hot take. Maybe it's because I'm a manga only, but I would not say it's better than the Tenkaichi Budokai tournaments, Namek, Dark Tournament, Chimera Ant, Yorknew, Ennies Lobby, Marineford, Pain, Sasuke Retrival, or the Reze Arc. The only series where I haven't read the manga here is Yu Yu Hakusho.

Despite the work conditions in MAPPA, the animators, voice actors, and every hard worker involved in the production reached 120% of their potential and blessed us with something more fire than Jogoat's Domain Expansion. They all deserve big bucks and a long break

It was hard to adjust in mind that this is not a jujutsu kaisen animation breakdown video . Mann you have spoiled me .
Its almost bizarre to think that, even tho the animation for this season was HEAVILY rushed and incomplete in some areas, its still MILES ahead both in fluidity and style than literally 95% of other animes... Hell, even when compared to classics. It all just flows so well, even the least relevant dialogue scenes are a beauty to witness. Sort of feels like jjk ruined those "classic" anime talking-scenes to me... Truly feels like actual next gen anime
Let alone Hidden Inventory arc... Absolutely one of the best animated and adapted arcs ever

There are some highs and lows in culling games but it is still a really enjoyable experience imo.
Its equally as great as previous arcs
well if you compare to how gege write the story you know he never change his way for example jogo vs sukuna + gojo vs sukuna is smiler by the way it end😅 the moment you done your final atk sukuna sent you to afterlife but ppl wont accept it bc IT EVERYONE’S GOJO HASBANDO SATORU.
another reason is bc culling game still isn’t reveal the answered of question yet and for week by week ppl forget and think it too long too slow.
From my experience JJK need to read in book, it more fun and flow. Also culling game’s level of fun is similar to how it feel in ss1 so if compare shibuya to culling game ofc it look down.

Culling game arc was full of chapters that were nothing but exposition and pretty much thats what Holding that arc down .

This video was amazing, I had complaints regarding your last 5-6 jjk videos where you're not properly explaining the animation and too hung up on negative aspects. Which were even 2 or 3 but you exaggerated that.

I mean, the arc was good pretty much just because of the action and the spectacle. I agree with a lot of the criticisms about the writing and characters not really being there. Gege doesn't really do anything with the "consequences" after this arc.
The consequences (people Gege have written out of the story) is one of my worst gripes about this arc. Like the fact that we have no idea whether or not Todo even survived after the fight with Mahito, whether Nobara is still in the story etc. It’ll be even worse if they get re-introduced into the story, as it would feel like an asspull at that point.

I kinda don't agree with you about jjk. I didn't enjoy the 2nd season like 1st and I think it has a lot of flaws.
First of all most fights were completely unecessary. They just were there to make watchers enjoy the show but didn't really make impact on a plot. There are only few of them, where mosty there are Yuji's fight that are stages to the boss and barely develop the plot. They weren't also choreographicly very good and memorable so much that I would want to get on UA-cam and search a fight to watch it again.
Another thing. I feel like the plot appears rarely. The season is like 90% fights, 10% plot. We don't learn anything from most of episodes. There are only few moments/episodes where the plot moves on (where the last episode being like 80% of the plot)
The worst thing in this season is character development. Most of characters barely had screen time. Women are a big XD if we're talking about development. Toji who had so much potential to make something with Megumi but ended up as a Gojo power up. Nothing happend between his son or clan Zenin. Wasted potential and a big dissapointment.
Nanamin had 1 moment and then git just sacrificed to develop MC.
Nobara death was bad. They used a cheap trick of making backstory before to make her death "hit". There are 3 MCs where the only one the most main having a development. (however I don't like Yuji as a MC. He's boring and non charismatic).
Plus the animation and drawing was bad which we could see even between fights and to me the animation style is just tragic since season 1. Unsatysfying, hits has no impact and characters move like a gum making fucked up moves.
So in summary. Plot weren't keeping me on episodes. Visual side weren't nice to look at. Character development was tragic.
Didn't enjoy it at all.
But the itroduction part with Gojo and Geto was awesome. And here a completely agree with you.
Trash take you don't expect the characters to come in contact with the villains and hug them do you ? None of the fights were unnecessary and the chereography in some of them was way better than almost 99 percent anime like Gojo vs disaster curses , Yuji vs choso , toji vs dagon , Yuji and todo vs mahito , Choso vs geto all had great chereography.
Toji was supposed to be a villan and not a father figure who will mend his ways or something . He had already left the zenin clan because he was done with them and until the last moment did not care about Megumi that's his character and when he kills himself in shibuya it fulfilled his character arc as he was happy that Megumi was not handed over to the zenin .
Nanami and all the other characters were already developed from season 1 how much change can you expect from a fully grown man who's life has come full circle . His act towards Yuji fulfills his arc
Shibuya is not supposed to be seen as just one arc it's the payoff of all the arcs till then and the movie

1. Some fights were really well choreographed, Yuji vs. Choso, Yuji vs. Mahito, Sukuna vs. Mahoraga etc.
2. Toji isn’t supposed to be a good person. He kills for a living. He’s more of a plot device and an example of who Maki could be.
3. Animation style being bad is a really bad take all things considered. Unfinished ≠ bad. Some scenes did feel a bit iffy (Yuji vs. Grasshopper Spirit) but all in all it was well animated.
4. Shibuya as an arc is a pay-off of all previous arcs as well as an introduction to the next arc.
In short, drop the show

you should talk about One Piece some more. in the last two years it has had some of the best animation in the industry, and it’s new episode is incredible. idk why sakuga youtubers don’t cover it, yet make the 5th video titled “Bleach TTYBW is disappointing…”
it seems like One Piece is the only one of the big three that Sakuga youtubers just don’t even acknowledge. even Boruto gets a mention sometimes to make fun of it.

Thank you! I don’t consider AoT a proper shonen. It just used common shonen tropes at first to facilitate a more seinen rugpull to take its story to another level.
I think the incredible animation has rose-colored glasses over everyone's eyes on this... as someone who didn't read the manga, the plot was okay and the ending was confusing and insulting. It honestly doesn't feel like Gege respects the characters or the readers (and given the backstory of how he started writing JJK, I guess I don't blame him).
The arc was already popular even before it got animated so there is no debate if people are blinded by rose coloured animation or something .
