Good demonstration of the lights in action, in my opinion they currently seem a bit slow and jittery while reacting but hopefully that will improve with future updates 🤞
This is a European style adaptive light being demonstrated here. This has been around for more than 10 years. It will never be approved to be actually activated in the United States, unfortunately. All that is allowed here is automatic, high, low beam, and turning with wheels, which has been around for about 30 years in the US
The current Model Y needs a matrix for the low beam as well because the spread step is too aggressive. Alternatively, the low beam could be changed to a single line without the high step on the right.
In the short distance you marked the light of the other car and I think he just flashed because he thought you would blind him but your light never touched the Backwindow of his car so you couldn't have blinded him. Sadly there are many people who flashes you when they think you have high beam on, doesn't matter if it blinds them or not. Friend of mine with his Mercedes had that problem often.
@@stevenlam4802 Yes, that could be the reason. Have to monitor this. But i feel it works very well over all since i have the Matrix Led myself now in my Y
ik it probably easier to see in video but are you able to tell in person? on my 24 model 3 performance I don't see it do it at all. also my high beams don't look that bright
Just got my Model 3 (2024) today. I activated highbeam on the screen but have not been out in the dark. Will the highbeam and the adaptive part engage automatically?
Basic new function that is welcome. Nothing to do with Matrix led from Audi which offers many more great features. As always little things, basics on other cars, are making a non deserved buzz for Tesla
yes but probably on audi, for adaptive headlights you need to add the super mega matrix pack that probably is 20% of the cost of a whole model 3. this came for free with a software update.
IMO, This is by far the best video demonstrating how version 2024.20 Adaptive Headlights works. Thank you very much! Well done!
Ouuu thank you man! Means a lot 💪

Hope so! They should give a quick call to Audi as they are one of the best to work out matrix headlights lol

Why will it not be approved in the us?
I hope they put on the Y as well! The hard wear is already there so it could perhaps be done with an OTA...
For sure they will do it very soon!
Great video!! Very detailed view
Thnk u!

I knew the driver, i told him to put high beams whenever he felt blinded
@@MarcFootageRacing Oh ok, than i have mistaken the black of the Backwindow, thought there came no light on.
@@D00MINIK It's hitting the side mirrors. It happens to me all the time because I drive a low car and those massive SUVs beams are aimed right at it.

I can see it perfectly naked eye, but ofc it has to be quite dark
@@MarcFootageRacing damn, I never see it do it in my 24 model 3 performance. maybe my roads aren't dark enough or mine just simply don't work lol
@@Andybojangles could be the darkness, otherwise go to Tesla and show them my video saying yours is not doing it hahah
@@MarcFootageRacing I just might lmfao 😂
Pues muy bien, la verdad. 👍
Nada mal! A ver si en un update pronto lo dejan fino filipino

Which version do you have in your system?? If mine or later, yes, its just goes with the high beams, they automatically adapts
Are you in US? When did you place your order?

Nope, this is in Europe @@bestman7776
Only for the new model 3? I have a Model y 2023’ version, does it have the same headlights?
They will very soon mate!
Hola, es normal que no me salga la actualizacion todavia?
Buenas! Sip no te preocupes aun quedan un % alto de gente sin este update
Is it a standard or LR?
This is LR!
Are these updates rolling out now?
Yes! To almost everyone in Europe
Well that's got me excited! Thanks for sharing!
They seem a bit slow compared to other manufacturers that make matrix headlights
