musclecars, classic cars, old school, retro rides, road tests, reviews, test drives, project cars, barn finds, sports cars, GTs, R/Ts, big blocks, small blocks, Chevelle, NOVA, Mopar, Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, AMC, you name it. All about CARS, filmed in 4K UHD in Texas - Авто та транспорт
I love when he rolls into the throttle at 4:10 and the nose starts lifting up. I miss those days of real raw power when you actually had to drive a car and if you weren't careful, you wrecked it. The car makes some awesome sounds.
That is one of the nicest cars (classic) I've seen....somebody has spent a lot of time and damn sure a lot of money. ..detail like that doesn't come easy....many late nights ...lots of sweat. ..yenko or not ..its a nova...a damn nice ass car period. ...one I would be proud to own
Finally someone in a video that actually can shift a 4 speed while running it. Nice car love it. I had a 73 wish it ran like yours.
I grew up in the town where these were made. The building is still there. Nice to see these cars still around
This is my favorite video I've done to date. I got to bang gears in it! I'm usually the one doing the filming. You'll know the scene I'm talkin' about! I was trying to keep it from breaking the tires loose. That 427 was wicked in this custom Nova. - Samspace81 #nova #beastmode
Nice looking nova very rare.
That's a mighty impressive garage ! If that Nova is a legit Yenko, it's one of only 37 produced, and one of a handful that exist today . . .
***** I was caught fibbing!! No, its a Yenko type Tribute car, just a killer killer Nova. That's my buddy Brents business, Fast440 here close to Sunnyvale, Texas.
David H. You're late to the party David! I'm sure everyone LOVES you at a party...
Was this car originally a 250 inline 6 or a 307?
amazing car i love it . awesome paintjob too very shiny .
Jesus H Christ, that thing sounds good. And then you sold it. I would have wrapped it up in bubble plastic and kept it forever.
Wow he sold it. Hes crazy
An old engine builder trick is to cut a groove in the top inside of the lifter bore, top to bottom, so that oil drips down on the camshaft and prevents flat spotting your cam lobes. You lose a little oil pressure but your camshaft lives.
Back in 70,we had a 402 Nova .030 over 408,Manley 12.5-1 pistons
Crower 580,580 320 duration cam,lots of machine work,suspension
work etc etc.Topped with a Weiand 2-4V tunnel ram,Holley 660 carbs
11 in slicks w/Moroso front drag tires--car ran 10.80s..Your car sounded just like ours with closed headers
I miss the car,had lots of fun
Thanks for sharing that
Damn. All that time and effort for 10.80s..? Nowadays that happens with less cubes, less cam and one carb. Sorry your engine sucked back then, dude
What a beautiful Nova..Gorgeous
God that thing sounds monstrous! Yenko's are just badass. I love that whine sound too. Beautiful paint job, and I love the video transitions you did as well!
Outstanding Nova. Wish I could have bought it. That big block sounds awesome They can keep all the new muscle cars. Old school works for me.
same thing i said ol school is bad ass this new crap sucks lol
One of the cleanest Novas I've seen. That hood looks great on that car.
Who needs a radio when your car sounds like that!
That's the truth in any year
thanks for sharing and the ride. loved it. nice bad ride. keep old school alive!
Thanks for the ride..that was Awesome!
I think the clone/tribute idea is the better option...it looks & runs like the rare original, but you can beat on it & not feel like you're devaluing/mileing up/abusing the investment/rarity of owning the real thing!
Thats what I'm saying. Thanks for checking it out Andy.
Sounds like a nasty, high-reving mother! Thanks for watching
This actual car? Thanks for watching!
love the old Nova my dream car
Very nice nova..looks good sounds and appears to run very strong..very nice piece of American muscle car history. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking it out James! Enjoy the channel.
The horn and wipers really make the car. LOL, very nice!
Beautiful looking and sounding Nova.
That's one badass Nova love that whining sound
It sure was Mark, that old school gear drive! Thanks so much for following Samspace81
Wow. That is just amazing.
@AndreyPurtov Yep, thats my Vette at 5:05! This Nova was really built right. I don't think I went over 25...
A great and wonderful machine. I still want one.
Indeed
Lived in Forney Texas for 4 years and drove by your place nearly every day and would always see some SWEET lookin Hot Rods sittin around the front shop. Cool vid man!
Cool car i ran a small block 427 then it turned into a 437 now its gonna be a 440. Just keep making it bigger stronger and faster
The Hotrodder way. Thanks for following Samspace81
Did you see the part where I went through the gears? It winds up pretty good! I never bounce a car off a rev limiter, bad for the valves.
Beautiful paint. Oh and that engine! Nice.
2016 is a badass. I have had seven in my life and only have one left man I miss them.
I thought I saw that nova on eBay awhile back. It was actually on eBay as a yenko. Very nice ride I thought about selling almost everything I had at the time for it. But then came to my senses.
never a waste with a cool old car video. THanks for watching
Beautiful Nova man. Absolutely. I have a 73 hatch back but I don't have the cash right now to do what I want to it, so just waiting. Seeing your car makes me know keeping mine is worth the wait.
Thank you! Have a good weekend wrenching on your ride - Sam
You just got to love those cars that are so juiced up they don't like to idle at all lol
The car is just plain Beautiful
Don Yenko converted a whole bunch of cars, not just Camaros. He had Yenko Chevelles, Yenko Novas, Yenko Camaros, even Yenko Corvairs. Pretty neat stuff. May not be factory original (Correct me if I am wrong) but still sweet as hell to have such a high horsepower motor in a tiny car.
I like it too. As for a genuine Yenko Nova 427 there are only 7 to 9 in existence. A garnet red one with a black vinyl top completely original sold for $300,000.
That's one Bad Ass machine dude...Sweet!
I doubt any Novas came out of the factory with body and paint as good as this one. She's a beaut'!
So true memorable muscle
Beautiful car, this video gives my inspiration and motivation to keep on working on my car.God Bless.
very nice Nove. Love the sound :-)
Such a fun memory
I want one of these!!
One of the favorite musclecars I've worked with! Thanks and enjoy the channel.
PRECIOSA CHEVY,TE FELICITO !!!
That is honestly probably the best lookin Nova I've ever seen.
Right up there. My buddy back in the day, had about the same set up. His had an L-88 in it, M-22 and 5:13 gears. Cortez Silver with black interior. No console either. The torque was unbelievable. I would take this Nova over any car i've seen on you tube.
sweet nothing better than the sound of big block chevrolet muscle
Comment of the day! One of my favorite days ever doing this video! So much fun. Thank you
@@samspace81 your welcome my dad has a big tire 68 with a 540 bb with a turbo
love nova's. awesome vid
Sweet sounding 427
Thanks for the ride
You bet
Really nice craftsmanship; cosmetics and mechanicals
I agree! Glad you enjoyed it Mark. Appreciate you following Samspace81 sir
Hell yeah. And an airplane hanger full of some badass toys. Semper Fi.
Thanks for your service Chad and checking out my car channel.
No matter what cubic inches are under a chevy hood. The Muncie whine will always draw the attention. Lol. Nice ride. Love the color. Mine is the burnt poly ( or doo doo brown ) gm fleet color from 69.
You got that right! Great memory. Thanks Todd for watching - SAM
Great car. But hardly hell raising. Glad you're taking care her though
My thoughts exactly ! Lol
I love the sound of that "ROCK CRUSHER"!!! That's a stable full pretty girls!😎
Memorable Nova
Thank you sir. Nice ride!
Thanks much for watching 👀
Sounds very healthy. Beautiful car.
it was a fun memorable car. Thanks for watching & leaving a commnet
Nice car, that's enough hell to raise with a rare Yenko!
Great cars, I had a LT1 1970, 4 speed Munsey, SS loaded. Quick car in its day.
Got a 57 cameo pickup , with a
70 lt1 & m20 4 speed.,
love that car man. i so miss my novas
Great video production great car
THANK YOU! An oldie but goodie on my channel
That car is wonderful
Thanks!
that's bad ass love old novas
You and me both
Immaculate. nice car
Good Looking Car!
Those cars where mint to go in a straight line, they handle horribly. I had a 68 when I was young and I loved that car , 250 power glide.
Awesome rides
PSA to the kids in these new mustang's. This is a car that sounds good. Loud is not always a good sound.
Yes thanks for the intelligent comment - SAM
Bad ass car !! Wow
Thanks for checking it out Chris
love the car! always wanted one
You'd need a 4 door nova with poverty caps, bench seat, column shift. With a 1970s compass on the dash. My great grandma had a green on green nova like that (with a 307 or some little lo-po v8). Except hers was a coupe. Right now it's rotting behind my uncle's house.
Sweet nova!
Yenko built a total of 38 427/450 horse 69 & 70 Nova's. It's said that only 10 survive. They where all based on 396 cars as the heavy duty suspension was already installed. My guess is that in that a short wheelbase car with 450 HP tends to go off the road in a BIG way.... Approximate value? I saw one at Barrett Jackson with a pre-auction estimate of 350 to 400K. I don't know if it sold.
Yenko didn't build any big block Novas for 1970 , they were all LT1 powered Yenko Deuces . Short wheelbase , at 111 inches it's three more than a Camaro .
Awesome this one just a clone 👏
real nice
Very nice car extremely well done
Thank you very much, it really was a NICE Nova.
very nice car, cool sound man;)
ooooh! Gave me goosebumps!
Awesome! Some great memories that day man. I can't believe its been nearly 7 years. Enjoy the channel! Thanks for the comment. That Nova was special.
samspace81 i said it before, this Nova is a beast. I must rewatch this video at least once a month. My good friend had an L88 in his 69 Nova. Same wicked sound. Yeah, I live in the past.
nice video editing ..n car kicks assss
Yea, those 427 nova's built by Yenko are the most rare of his supercars , and for good reason. The nasty big rat was really too much for a stock body nova and actually quite dangerous according to don yenko himself. It was something like 0-60 in a tick over 3 seconds with all kinds of body and suspension twisting going on. Hairy ride.
Sofa-King BEAUTIFUL! Thank you.
Awesome! Thanks for watching and the comment.
I didn't have it opened up all the way. It didn't ping or lean out, pulled hard. I didn't rev it too high either.
Sweet💪💪🔥🔥
Thanks Jay
love that transmission whine.
wicked nice and rare!!
I cant speak for anyone but myself: im jealous. 😻
@ModernMuscleHead yes sir! I don't know the specs or I'd post them for you. I shifted it fast because it wasn't my car, didn't want to abuse it. I love this video because I film all these cars and I DROVE this one in the hard shifting scene :)
sweet !!
Love the whine!
Yes! Appreciate you checking it out and following Samspace81, Jimmy
@port nut lol
Nice car . Yenkos had the stinger hood , YSC head rests and door panel call outs and stripe kit . Decals on the
valve covers doesn't make it a Yenko tribute or clone . 427 sounds healthy.
This is the way a car should sound!
That was a great memory, got to bang some gears with my friend, appreciate your viewership
Badass💪
Heck yeah, so much fun
Ain't Nova's just the best muscle car ever made?
Nice!!!!!!😍
Thanks Armondo for watching 👀
That engine tho!!!!! :O daaayyuummm
This car is one of the most badass s.o.bs I have seen
