1995-1997 was the pinnacle of the town car in my opinion.
Absolutely, Bob scored a great one here.
@@Anonymous-jo7ix can you send me 1 in Germany please ??
There will never be another 1995-1997 Lincoln Town Car. That body-style is a timeless classic. I have 3 of them in storage and the car still turns heads 20 years later.
Best years
@@Anonymous-jo7ix I am too, I hope you're enjoying it, with good maintenance it will last years more... I couldn't say the same about modern luxury cars rappers boast about buying. Their "Benzs" as they call them, will be long broken due to over paying for repairs, as that Lincoln lives on...
There's just nothing like a Lincoln Town Car. Gotta love them.
I love them too, they ride and drive great today too
Now THIS is a luxury car. Not those overpriced, mid-sized, sport sedans they try to pass off as luxury cars these days.
knytrydr73 so true. They label everything luxury these days - it’s bollocks!!
@John Sluder No they were NOT, THEY WERE MASSIVE T REX GAUDY LOOKING.😣😤😤
@John Sluder this is probably my 2nd favorite generation Town Car. My favorite hands down is the 1989 Lincon Town Car. When you pulled up in one of those, people noticed. Gorgeous boxy classic Lincoln
paul tanner i have to agree with you on that. My aunt had the 1989 Town Car and no one in our family liked that car but me lol. It was the best car and best year of the Town Car in my opinion. Absolute beautiful car
Is it just me or this generation Town Car looks a little bit more refined than the 3rd gen?.
This town car is the perfect transition of old school to new school. Beautiful
Agree, they nailed it
gorgeous I have no other words for it . my 1996 TC has 396000k miles on it and still running very strong.
Im 28 years old and people my age laugh at me because i say that I love these older cars over the new ones...
Sounds like you need new friends! Appreciate you watching the Samspace81 channel
I am even younger and dream about collecting these some day! I am glad to hear that there are younger generations other than me that know the value of these cars! Also, laugh at them as they get stranded and drown in their repair costs in ugly Kia Souls and all the other crap they probably drive, as your old Lincoln surpasses 200k miles!:)
Im 29 and i own a 1995 lincoln. Town car. With 159000 miles... Replaced the whole front suspension.. What a car!!! When i first bought it my wife thought its s granpa car. Now she only drives this even tho i have other alot newer cars
@Mr. Awesome well, when it comes to Korean cars, they are fine at the first 100,000, but then as they age... ⚠️. Also it does seem like places by Missouri, Mississippi, states would have people who enjoy those. People like us know good cars when we see them.
Right on! I'm 27 and have a '92 Town Car. Over 300k miles. Fast cars are nice but where are we in a hurry to get to? And FWD econoboxes are better on gas but worse on your body.
My wife has a 1996 Lincoln Town Car Cartier with 115,000 miles on it. It's a classic land yacht that runs perfect. I've repaired the rear air bags, coolant crossover, dash air deflector, rear backup light switch on the transmission and a oil drip seal. It continues to be a classic and most enjoyable automobile. They don't build them like this anymore.
Awesome. Worth maintaining and keeping. Love the pride in ownership. Thanks for following Samspace81
The smell of leather how comfortable it is the sounds this car makes the joy from playing with the buttons especially the seat makes me feel like a kid again
Love to hear that, thanks slomy. Glad you enjoyed the video :) - SAM
I Drove A 02 Lincoln The Other Day It Blew My Mind On How Smooth It Rode & Drove & It Wasn't A Slouch Either I Never Knew Lincolns Had Such A Nice Ride Like That
Yeah they float down the road and good power for sure. Thanks again Karl for checking it out
Brings back so many good memories. I would love to have another one.
Now that is American luxury! I personally prefer the ones from the 1980s, but you've got to love all of them really. Especially the ones that have been preserved.
I agree, they are becoming more sought after too. Thanks so much for following Samspace81
I like how it was to the point and no over doing it, this is what a car tour should be, and that's my favorite Lincoln omg I gotta get one.
Thanks Travis!! Memorable Lincoln
man my dad loves this car. The few times i drove it, has to be one of the smoothest cars ive ever driven. almost fell asleep a few times while driving it.
Thats awesome, stay awake though
i have a 2006 grand marquis
we are still have cars like this , crown vic , grand marquis , and caprice 80s 90s in saudi arabia , We lived the most beautiful memories of such cars, and one of the best that American companies have made , best cars for ever :)
Good stuff, still great cars. Thanks for watching
Pure luxury. What a shame that this car is hard to find in Europe.
Whyyy !!!! 😫😫
There are lots of them imported to Europe and pars are easily available! I daily drive a 2000 Grand Marquis in Finland.
@@TheRazvy1990 Why not? These are really comfortable and dependable cars that are easy to own and cheap to repair, that is something that can not be said about larger European cars.
@@ChevyBM yes....it's a problem finding good classic American cars in europe ....and the pieces are hard to find....so i stay with my E38 😃😃 but i still want a 60's muscle !!!
This car sucks compared to a Jaguar xtype or a old Bentley
Thick comfy seats and nice open spaces. Thats luxury.
Yes, don't build em like that anymore. Thanks for watching the Samspace81 classic car channel
I miss the last years of the big American luxury cars Cadillac, Lincoln and Buick
they are still big
Me too so sad 😭
Pontiac Bonnevilles are awesome too :) I just filmed a '58 fuel injected one, incredible.
@@04dram04 Hardly, the down-sized full-sized sedans were around 215-225 inches long in the late 70's and 80's. Then in the late 80's and 90's they got even smaller with many being in the 205-210 range. They were still a nice sized car and styled to look larger and American. Now the longest sedans are just over 200 inches but they style them to look smaller and very bland. They push the wheels as far toward the ends of the car with next to no overhangs or trunk and make them several inches taller than big American cars were years ago when the slogan was "longer, lower wider." Now they just have the profile of a turtle and it's no wonder GM and FoMoCo are discontinuing all of their sedans because nobody wants to buy them they are just awful. How did we get so far removed from making beautiful and comfortable sedans like this??
Now we just have pickup truck based SUVs to take their place (still nice, big & comfy just in a weird bundle pkg), Escalade ESV (Fleetwood), Navigator L (Town Car) & Yukon Denali (Roadmaster). I'm fortunate to have both and as much as I love my ESV Premium I have to admit my 11' DTS rides like a traditional Caddy. Sadly everything is Crossover this and Crossover that and pretty soon All electric smh.
The best and most beautiful town car ever 95-97
INDEED I am living proof
Nice, thanks guys
my 1996 town car is at 292,000 miles, still runs and drives good
They are hard to find with low miles. This car found a new home. I'm sure it will be taken care of. Enjoy the channel and thanks for the comment.
trigga ville ,my 96 has 250,000 miles and everything works but air ride ,I have coils and air shocks now,I also have a 2005 tc, but the 96 is my favorite, to me it rides a bit better
wow good for you! hopefully my 2006 town car reaches that mileage 😅
Same here at 209k
@trigga ville I'm not surprised, these things are undestructable, and could go for years, heck, I heard about a crown vic that went over a million miles! These Lincoln Town Cars are identical mechanically, and could do so too!
Most beautiful car from the 90’s
That engine bay looks BRAND f* NEW !!
Actually- ALL of it looks, well just about Perfect. This is something of a time capsule, and these were also pretty good cars for their time too.
It really is sweet! Thanks for the comment and enjoy the channel.
samspace81 Well I am particularly enjoying your current project on the '58 Studebaker actually. And ever since you started with it I have been looking them-up,as they're obviously pretty obscure like you mentioned !
Keep up the great videos Sam. I like the way you've taken up the idea that DanRestodan has for seeing how cheaply it can be done -with a lot of skill and know-how. I love it man.
I think your uploads are excellent and I really look forward to each one. I noticed you mentioned ColdWarMotors too. What a great channel that is too. CHEERS from Dorset. UK.
I have 97 Lincoln town car for sale 160k miles

When i was a kid. My mom would rent one ti drive to new jersey to see family. Smoothest ride ever. Great memories in those town cars.
Appreciate you sharing, good memories!
Great american car, this one has style!
It really does, so clean. Enjoy the channel.
The true definition of American luxury car
Really appreciate you watching the Samspace81 classic car channel. Thanks for commenting, love these Lincolns
This is an amazing car. I have driven it a lot. It is the King of Cars of the 1990's.
Memorable Lincoln
I have driving these cars a lot. I absolutely LOVE them.
Fine road cars for sure
What a luxury car should be!!
Love that era of 90s America car. It's like jumping into movie heat.
Love that ha thanks Johnny
Hello, i am from France and i am lucky owner of one 1995 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series since 2013. i am very happy to have this car since this time and it's always a pleasure to drive it, to take care of it and to make some repair myself on !!!
Best regards from Nice City. Vive la France =)
Very cool! I enjoy working on my daily car too. Thanks so much for sharing, Viva France! Greetings from Caddo Mills, Texas - SAM
Recently Picked up a Gold '97 myself. 80K on the motor. Smooth as butter, even with the Air Ride being swapped out.
Nice James! Thanks for checking out this one. Enjoy your Lincoln
Luego luego carro que tengo el pinche
A masterpiece of a luxury vehicle that will not be repeated
appreciate you watching Samspace81 & taking the time to comment. I just love classic cars :)
Omg. I exactly had the same car. Which collapsed because of me not taking care of. My mistake.
But i still remember it. A great car by all means.
Beautiful!!! This is truly the best looking Town Car before going to the bloated and round successor that came in 1998. And of all the 90's cars, this is one car that is one of my favorites and mostly of its body style. I just picked up a 1994 Town Car next to my 05 Deville, so now I have the best from both Lincoln and Cadillac.
When this body style was launched in 1990 I was in my first year at university and I did not even have a car, but while others at my age dreamt with a Nissan 300zx or a Chevrolet Corvette, I used to dream myself driving this beauty. It's just timeless perfection, until now is one of my favorite cars ever.
Good stuff Ruben, appreciate you watching
it is the first time i see it but, i can affirm it is a very luxuous car, and more class than many of today sedans
My 95 town car Spinnaker is my winter car. It sure rides nice and has plenty of power thanks to the performance package. Made to run through the desert 24 hrs a day
I bet you are still cruising
@@samspace81 sure am! Just finished it's second winter in da "up" and now it's back inside for the summer. If you want to see what I drive in the summer, check out my Grand Marquis/Marauder combo. Super rare car. I love all these Panthers.
What a beautiful classic town car.
Indeed, thanks for following the Samspace81 channel
I recently bought a 1993 Lincoln Town Car signature series on Craigslist for only $1,000 and it rides perfectly the two back windows have problems and the hood ornaments missing but that's fine. the rare ragtop is also in great shape.
My mom drove one just like it. She loved that car. She said it was her private get away.
Good memories, appreciate you sharing that. Thanks for watching Samspace81
I've got my drivers license for three years now and I am dreaming of this car. Quite rare here in Germany...
Keep on dreaming. This is car is not for Germans.
Awesome my friend
Wow that 97 Lincoln town car is so clean and healthy excellent
It really was well cared for, getting harder to find them like this. Thanks for following Samspace81, Chris
Beautiful car! You can't get them more elegant than this.
The water bottle on the motor is genius. Great videography and technique.
Bobby is the water bottle king haha glad you enjoyed it. Me and him do some great videos. Thanks for watching Samspace81
A sofa on wheels... This lady shall never get old.
Right? haha Glad you enjoyed it
@@samspace81
Sadly I could only enjoy looking at it. It has always been my dream car. It's almost impossible to find a good one these days... especially in my country.
I had the same and no complaint. Luxury, beautiful, comfortable, good drive experience, I miss my towncar.... :(
Great drivers for long distance
Hello, I had a 1986 I imported to New Zealand. It wasnt mint but was fine. I loved it. Its the only car that had tears streaming down my face when I sold it. I only sold it very reluctantly for financial reasons but would never do so again. Id rather sleep in a Town car than sell it. Yes they are not environmental and you get really tired of people saying "I bet that uses a lot of fuel". But they just inspire affection unlike newer cars engineered to have plastic that biodegrades as your driving it. You take your Lincoln out on your days off work and smile as it goes over pot holes like they dont exist and you aim your Lincoln star down the road and all your troubles fade away.
Thanks 4 sharing, great cruisers
Such a relaxing video. Very well shot. Growing up in NYC, these were practically everywhere. Then after these ran their course the 98-02 model replaced them, and soon after the 03-11 model came in, many of which are still running around as livery cabs with well over 300,000 miles on them---a true testament to their craftsmanship & durability. These along with the Ford Crown Victoria are American icons and certainly an NYC staple. When the last of the 03-11's and Crown Victoria's are gone, there will be an unfilled void in our city. Having owned five panther bodies (two being town cars), I can safely say these are amazing machines and nothing will ever be produced in their likeness ever again. The 1990-1997 Town Car had such elegance. A timeless design that has aged gracefully. On a side note, it's amazing how this car still has the original plastic intake manifold--which was known to crack and leak antifreeze.
Thanks so much it's all i do
Fixed in 96 I think
I’d love that car, last of the proper American movie style cars 👍🏻
Clean Lincoln, memorable
I remember riding in those Lincolns many times back in the day.
Me too! They were everywhere. The real nice ones like this brings some bucks now. Thanks for following Samspace81, Michael
Aircraft technician, no wonder it's in mint shape. I owned one for 5 years and drove across the U.S. 7 times from Boston to Phoenix and Oklahoma. Best car I ever owned in the U.S.
@Gordon Taylor, Yes Sir, I must agree along with those Ford Crown Vics these are truly dependable vehicles, yet these offer pretty good mileage on the H ways, Best Greets from across the pond, Paul
Thanks Paul & Gordon, great cars.
Those are so nice cars and now days they give huuuuge value for money! Smooth, dependable, roomy and in every way perfect cars! I daily drive a mint condition 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis (Presidential) witch now has about 27000miles. I traded my 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 for the Mercury and have not regretted it a single time, the thing is when you get used to drive a full size body on frame car it is hard to find the same comfort in any other vehicle. I also have a 1991 Caprice Classic that I bought in 2009 that I should start restoring to its former glory soon when it turns 30 years old.
Good stuff, glad you enjoyed it! These things drive so smooth
beautiful car, 3 times whe rent a towncar in America on Hollyday the run great ! I had 11 years a grand marquis with the same engine, never one problem !
Thanks for sharing
I love the cloud soft ride this 97 towncar has, that air suspension is superior, I love this towncar.
Soft luxury ride
I just picked up my 97' Cartier in Ivory Pearlscent (every option except phone lol). One of my all-time favorite cars and my 5th Panther. These cars are tanks and they run forever!
-95 CVPI (P71), sold @ 310k
-00' CV (P73) sold @ 200k
-04' Marauder, sold @ 200k
-11' CVPI P7B (133k and counting)
-now 97' LTC Cartier (232k and WILL go up)
Love that, I run the miles up on my rides too. Appreciate your viewership
Same color as my 1997 signature! I have 139k on mine
How can this beauty have 105 dislikes.. everything about this car is great.. very affordable to maintain also .. I’ve owned a town car all my life ..
Great cars! I love haters too
I thought those beautiful chrome window switches were finished the early 1990s. Digital dash looks flash and I could feel the pillowy ride through my smart phone!
Thanks James, enjoy the channel.
They had them till the last ones.
Gerard J. I have an Australian made 1992 Ford Fairlane Ghia, a large long wheelbase luxury sedan and it's power window switches are the rather boring black rocker switches that don't feel that nice to operate but work ok. The last Aussie Fairlanes to have those chrome style switches with the pointy tip were in 1984 and they were beautiful looking and so sensually luxurious! Then they switched to Euro style plain black rocker type in the name of looking "updated".
Something nobody notices is that was the last of the chrome covered column shifter in a car. No car nowdays has a column shifter in chrome like that.
Good eye buddy, thanks for watching Samspace81
samspace81
Youwelcome, how much would a car like that in that condition sell for anyway?
$5,000-$10,000
samspace81
Seems a fair. My parents 34,000 mile ford escape was purchased for $18,000 I believe. That must be worth $10,000
Ford Escape not desirable
Im from Germany, this car is very pretty and elegant👍🏼⭐️
Appreciate you watching, much love from Wolfe City, Texas
Awesome, like new. Passed the water bottle test just fine!
Yeah it did! This is a butter smooth ride. My friend Bobby introduced the water bottle test haha Thanks and enjoy the channel.
I have a 1997 Signature series in the same color. Best ride ever!
Awesome, hold onto it. Thanks for watching Samspace81
I am a proud owner of 1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature series and it as Beautiful all around.
Wonderful Cars
Lincoln, what a luxury car should be.
True
I love this cars, this was my first car.
Awesome
Very nice. I'd love to own one of these.
Yours has 49K miles on it and looks great. A retired banker in our town has a white on white '97 with well over 200K on it and still looks like new money. He keeps it garaged, clean, and never on salty roads. He's had to do very little repairs on it. It just proves that taking care of an automobile pays off.
I need to find one this clean. Dayum.
Hard to find nowadays like it for sure
I have a super clean 93 LTC, but this car is in mint condition. Much respect to you.
Those Town Cars were the bomb the mid-cycle from 95-97 were the best looking cars liked them when was a little boy around that time a beautiful car never will see the glory and durable of newer cars this day and age Ford did well in this generation Town car... ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CAR I wish had got one when first got my license knew wouldnt had experience behind wheel because would had felt driving a boat though not as big something like Cadillac Fleetwood or Buick Roadmaster.
They really are a modern classic. Thanks for watching, Ramon. Great insight.
I miss my 97' town car everyday
Great cruisers!
I have one of these, the same year, and I like it a lot. It is one of my two daily drivers.
Nice, you still have it?
@@samspace81 Yes, but right now I can't afford to have any work done on it, and it needs a lot of work, unfortunately.
Bought my 1996 Executive Series about a year ago. Very clean, quiet riding and running car, mine is the same color. 115k on her, but drives like new, even on the highway. Finally giving my 70 Coupe deville a break after 31 years of driving her.
I was a young limo driver in the 90’s & must say I loved our Lincoln cars way more than the Cadillacs. The 5.0 V8 I think was introduced in the Mustang 5.0 series powered our Lincoln limos. I’m not sure of the powertrain in our Cadillacs but they were sluggish trying to handle the weight. I could burn rubber in the Lincolns.
Nice Steve, great drivetrains! Loved them in my dads 89 Lincoln LSC
These just seem magnificent in retrospect.
It really is a great car, they are very collectible and hard to find in this kind of condition. Enjoy the channel.
I hope to get this car as much as I like it, it's one of the best cars issued by Ford for elegance, beauty, design and performance, this is my dream car 😊😢👍
Also one of my dream car. When I finish college, I will try to find this Lincoln and also the Lincoln Continental Mark V. Can never go wrong with a Lincoln Town Car!
Nothin rides like a Lincoln!!!!
Back when OWNING a car not only meant something, but said something about its owner! Those days are over.
This car was what's now old school luxury with the big recliner like seats and room to fit your whole family and all of your suit cases in. The engine in that car was real quite and still! How did he get a new old car like that?
Good stuff, never again. Appreciate you watching & commenting
-We have a '97 Town Car Cartier we bought new. Car has nearly 215,000 virtually trouble free miles, has been properly maintained. The comfort of the ride and seats unbeatable! 6-800 miles a day is no strain, and on such trips it will average 23-25 MPG on regular gas! We have elected to keep this superb vehicle and spend as much as necessary to keep it in prime condition, even several times its market value if need be rather than spend several times that amount on any of the current offerings of any make, none of which appeal to us!
Incredible, thanks for sharing. Great cruiser. I keep a good car too!
What a stunning car! Absolutely beautiful.
Appreciate you checking it out
This 1997 Lincoln , was the best car . I have ever had in my life. I wish I never sold mine's. 2019 still looking for one...😔
Such great cruisers. Any luck?
I just bought one.Want to buy it?
What a beauty!
Really was
Appreciate you watching Carlos
Great car, great ride, regards from Serbia.
Thank you for checking it out and enjoy the channel! I just love cars, especially classic cars.
In Serbia do you see “classic” yugo cars often?
Rising Embers Gaming hahahahah!

Sorry for the misspelled words just got excited look at those seats oh my goodness beautiful whoever had it was ridiculously clean👊👌👍🥂💥💯
I understood your message & appreciate you watching
I had two of the awesome cars!, I loved them so much! A white one and this silver one. I now have a 2004 in white that I am driving. Best comfortable car ever made!! I never want to get rid of it, only 133,000 miles. But I need a higher seat for my knees to get in and out.
They really are! Thanks for sharing that. Appreciate you following Samspace81
Everytime I see one of these, I have visions of Uncle Junior hiding on the back seat whist Mikey Palmice drives off admiring his latest whack.
Thanks for watching Samspace81
1995 town car with 233k getting 16.7mpg now got 7 when I got her a year ago all original everything works. Watch that your spark plug wires aren't touching like in this video when hood was open, can burn & cause that ticking through the wire. Learned that one $85.00 later & also cleared my #8 cylinder ticking. Still was at perfect idle, but clear as day ticking in the cab
Great observation Ryan! Yes, I don't like arching plug wires. You can see it happening in the dark, great way to check. Thanks for following Samspace81
Damn that car was in nice shape
It was. Bobby knows how to pick em. thanks for watching
Did you go back to 1997 and buy that Lincoln and take it back to the present
It was like new, my buddy found it
@@samspace81 Wow that is so cool. Your buddy is one lucky guy.
This body style looks better than 1998-2002. Only shortcoming with Town Cars are their under-powered engines compared to Continentals and Mark VIIIs.
Agree
LINCOLN TOWN CAR: WHAT A LUXURY CAR SHOULD BE.
100
What a beauty. One of the most reliable Town Car models Ford ever manufactured.
Waiting for the debut of the new continental
beautiful car a rent for a few times wen i was in the usa. drive so smooth. 10 years a drove a grand marquis with that same engine.
Great Lincoln no doubt
The car is for sale and how much it is priced
No longer for sale. Follow my UA-cam channel though, dont miss the next one
Miss my 95 lincoln Towncar
Thanks Derrick for watching
I have a 2009 Town Car that I took a video of on my channel. I bought it in Dec 2016 for $10,800. It had 57k miles on it at the time and it's a signature limited silver with black interior. It's my favorite vehicle I've ever owned which is about ten different vehicles.
Sweet ride
@@samspace81 sold it tho… miss it at times, but I needed a vehicle that could go off road at times/haul stuff. It hurt, but I found a buyer who loves those old school rides as much as I do. I bet he’s still enjoying it. 🥰
such a gorgeous car, i love it.
Really was a clean one 👌
I've always loved 1990s Lincolns especially the limousine version, I prefer them even to Cadillac. I also have a fondness for 1990s Mercury Grand Marquis. I've always driven European Fords & liked them, sadly we don't have the Mercury or Lincoln divisions here. I've had a 1998 Ford Granada Scorpio Ultimia 3.0L since almost new & it's fast, reliable smooth & has the interior trim of this Lincoln. It can out perform many smaller sports vehicles in sports mode. These are also becoming collect able cars now & getting rare. The 1990s & the 1950s gave us the two best eras of cars.
The Grand Marquis! haha those are great cars. Ford/Lincoln really made some nice interior through the 1990s
+390merc65 I have an '89 Grand Marquis LS and an '89 Town Car Signature Series. Nothing made today compares if you like smooth, economical reliability.
Best car ford ever made. Rides on a cloud.
They really do
This is a fine ride soft cloud like and kicks ass on the expressway, a real jewel.
They do, thank you for watching
this car is better than brand new cars.. wow
Really was clean
