One of my finest restorations , was this 1969 Yenko Nova. I finished this car one week before the birth of my now 29 year old daughter. A feat, I am very proud of, to this day, considering I was only 27 years old, at the car's restoration completion. This was June of 1992. The car was officially unveiled the following week, at Super Chevy Indianapolis 1992, in an all Yenko C.O.P.O. invitational exhibit.
Absolutely fantastic job Mike. Any aftermarket upgrades to the engine, drive train, or chasing? Or was this a factory original restoration! The car shifts smooth and and revs great
The problem with the Yenko cars were those stripes and badges told every cop and insurance agent in the county what you were driving . There were guys back then that paid more per month for insurance than the car payment was .
That's Lou Santiago host of Spike TV MuscleCars he's the real deal ex military guy with the Navy Seabees was a mechanic for seal team 8. Lou nice job if your reading this.
@port nut True. Chrysler would give you a 3.91 set in their 8-34 rear and 4.10 in their Dana 60 known as super trak pak. Lowest ratio I ever saw on a Chevrolet option sheet was 4.11 but probably even steeper over the counter available.

Were these COPO cars like the Camaros, or did Yenko convert the engines?
Gm refused to make them under the copo program which is why only 30 some were made i think
this yenko nova was the fastest chevy yenko.. 0-60 at 4.7 seconds
The M22 "Rock crusher"was the close ratio Muncie 4-speed. The M21 was the wide ratio transmission.
Why is Vinnie Barbarino doing the narration on this?

The shocker here is the 4:10 gears. I mean my God, man.
@port nut Word. If they can get all that power to the ground must be a wild ride.
