Thanks for your videos, very well explained, very usefull and nice to watch! Just a little thing, never use electronic cleaner because it leavs a thin film to protect components. Use brake cleaner for anything you clean ;)
Great and informative video... However, I thought you'd show how to clean the IAC valve too, which is in the throttle body and which can easily clog up and cause lot more issue than the throttle itself. May be you have another video for that?
I had difficulty getting the filter box back on the Pug 107 (Sister in law) the metal ring outside the throttle body was like stiff as anything! lol Took ages getting it back on,trying to get a snug fit.1st time working on it really.Nice video & nicely explained.
I have bad throttle position sensor, but it's not sold separately for my Yaris with 1kr-fe, it comes with throttle body itself. What can I do? Is there any options?
Informative and detailed fantastic. Please make video on how to replace brake shoes on Toyota aygo. Mind s Toyota wigo m/T also I think they are similar. Anywez keep it coming. I look forward to ur upcoming videos.
Nice vid mate! I found this video while i was trying to find some good stop lights for my toyota aygo, because they burn out every 2 months or so and i am so tired of changing them. I am trying to find LED lights to replace everything in my aygo, but i cant find compatible pieces. I got a 2008 model. Also your english is good and fluent!
Hi ! thanks for your nice words ! Just a piece of advice about the stop lights : Try to find what is causing the lights to burn ; maybe the bulbs have lower curent specs. anyway , LED's are much better :)
Good video but would have been better if you allowed us to hear how the engine sounded before then let us listen to the difference once it was cleaned!
Hi, is that going to fix the problem when the throttle sensor warning is up? Also asking me to change the actuator clutch as the gear keep changing to neutral. Peugeot 107
Patricia it looks like you have an automatic Aygo with amt. The actuator problem in these cars is a pain and an expensive repair often needing an actuator replacement.
Do you need to disconnect the battery when you do this? I think the sensor behind it, from the followup video is causing motor management errors because its dirty, the filter I had was black, I replaced that.
You can (should) use a torque wrench... With this said. For this particular intervention there's really no need if you know what you're doing. And make sure to get metric values, not like the video poster that show imperial. While working on a European car, in a Nordic (European) country! LOL 😂
Bro thanks for video, i need some help here the local mechanic did something now my Aygo car also have the same problem. I clean throttle body but i think the voltage supply to the sensor is leaking. When i connect -neg terminal of the voltmeter to Bty neg then the 1st & 3rd socket show 5 to 6 voltages (when engine is on) and the middle socket show only 0.02 v (ie signal voltage). Please tell me what is the exact voltages for the sensor wire-wise.
Hi ! If you found the signal wire than the voltage should change proportional with the increase in RPMs / moving the throttle flap . It could be much easier to check if the sensor is working with a scan tool with live data ..
that's same with me starts at around 1200rpm and drops to 850 -900rpm but i do have a problem everytime in the 1250-1500rpm range when im driving the car starts shaking like crazy, but if i let it go lower than 1200rpm down to 1000rpm there are no problems, did you maybe have this problem at any point?@@doit_vehicles
@DonValleyTraders1 Its not safer for newer models cars to spray directly fumes from cleaner can get on to the piston cylinders and also sensors could get damaged easily. Better to remove throttle body completely and then clean it but for electric throttle without wire remove negative terminal battery first and then remove throttle body avoid using fingers to move plate or later you will get problems with idle.
@@coolbema Need to let it air dry for like 15 mins.I did my 2002 Yaris and it's still going strong.I would clean out or replace the PCV also if over 60,000 miles.Did mine which was pretty bad at 90,000 miles.
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question, what is the idle rpm of your car? Recently, I notice that my old citroen C1 1.0L has a idle rpm of about 1000rpm, I am wondering whether it is too high, and I need to clean the throttle. I think Aygo 1.0 should have the similar engine?
Usually the idle control valve, for obvious reasons, is the responsible for controlling and maintain idle speed. That's where you should start. Most probably being a well used vehicle. Cleaning most sensors and respective electric contacts will have a beneficial result in the overall performance. Including ground connections. Do not neglect the always forgotten PCV system. I guess by now the hoses are filled up with mucky black deposits. ;-)
@@doit_vehicles Hi, my 2014 car which has the later throttle body without the accelerator cable like yours but its idle is also at 1,000 rpm which i thought too high. Do you know if they can they only be adjusted using a diagnostic tool. Also are you familiar with the automatic model as i have another question to ask if you dont mind.

I must say, the way you show how to undo the bolts, clips etc.. before you do it is great. Lots of people don't do that. Well done.

Good explained. Will the engine light turn on after you remove it, clean and put it back again?

There is a 1st time for everything )
Tip: Clean the mounting surfaces and apply some silicone spray. Next time you'll have to tackle the job. It will slide nice and easy. ;-)
Handy for 107 and C1 owners as well
I have bad throttle position sensor, but it's not sold separately for my Yaris with 1kr-fe, it comes with throttle body itself. What can I do? Is there any options?
What was the reason that forced you to remove and clean the throttle body?

you're welcome !

Nice job 👍
Clear &useful!!!
What about clean when its on the car without remove? Can be work or just bad idea?
It's not bad if there is no much carbon to fall into the intake manifold
Brilliant video, just what I needed thank you
Glad it helped
@@doit_vehicles İ think you didnt calibrated throttle body but you have to
How can we calibrate it? Do u have any information about it
Fantastic person 👏
When should you do clean your throttle body and how often?
There is no specifc time , is needed when there is for example carbon build up around the flap and the car idles poorly because of that .
Hi, is that going to fix the problem when the throttle sensor warning is up? Also asking me to change the actuator clutch as the gear keep changing to neutral. Peugeot 107
depends of what is the trouble code ; it has to be very severe carbon build up to trygger a trouble code .
@@doit_vehicles thanks for your reply. Is there anything I can do besides buying new parts which is lot of money for present circumstances. Please!!
Patricia it looks like you have an automatic Aygo with amt. The actuator problem in these cars is a pain and an expensive repair often needing an actuator replacement.
Why did you do a throttle body clean? What were the symptoms?
Do you need to disconnect the battery when you do this? I think the sensor behind it, from the followup video is causing motor management errors because its dirty, the filter I had was black, I replaced that.
is not necesarry to disconnect the battery ; some simple tests will help you to rule out the possible causes
@@doit_vehicles Well I asked because first, possible damage maybe, and second, the motor management error would be deleted because of this... so yeah.
If the issue is still there , the code will come back , don't worry 😅
@@doit_vehicles And so it did haha. The catalyst seems to be broken sadly.
I haven't got the throttle body cleaner can i use another cleaner?
In my opinion , yes
What will cleaning this do? Will it go faster?
+10 hp guarantee 😅
@@doit_vehicles I dont know if thats a joke or what. Im new to cars. but what i can tell you is i cleaned mine without removing, its a lot easier!
What kind of key did you use? Dynamometric?

can we clean the throttle body by not opening it
you could spray some cleaner in the intake pipe while the car is runing , but I would not do that on my car .
