I was born in Paris in 1951 of American parents. Maurice Chevalier was always and still is my idea of a true French gentleman!!! How I miss men like this.
I love the way UA-cam has brought these greats back to life, and now they will truly live on forever.
Never be another maurice! Lucky to see him on film. Wonderful guy.
Thank Heaven For Little Cute Old Man💕😍🎉
Chevalier ... was my Great Uncle, my Father's Mother's brother.
?
Your father's Mother's Brother ?
Wow, I have no idea who you are but Charles(his only sibling who had children) is my Great Grandfather. And I know all of my relatives.
Will Hughes, Are you related to Harry Chevalier by any chance??
Wow, all these relatives of Maurice Chevalier!
How cool!!!!
AT 83 I RECALL BOTH SO WELL>>>& FONDLY...ALWAYS...RIP
*sigh* The drop dead gorgeous Bing Crosby and the incredibly true French romantic Maurice Chevalier together. Thank heaven for them both.
Bing was gorgeous!
Impossible not to fall in love with them. Where are these types of entertainers NOW? We need 'em!
Personality, charm, wit, talent, confidence, mastery and ease in every syllable, every gesture, every note!
Bing acts, and sings like no other performer. The greatest talent America has produced.
Smooth as silk and twice as classy.
Two old masters of entertainment and romance❗
An incredibly complicated medley...How did they ever learn it? And they make it seem so natural, so easy! Amazing!!!
Black book is an outstanding real pleasure!Merci beaucoup for this historical Hollywood incredible rendering! Emmanuel from Paris France
C'est vrai, m'sieur. Bien dit!
Thank you, Merci Beaucoup.....two icons!
Bravo, again and again.....BRAVO ! Thank you so very much.
This is wonderful! What a gem! Loved it Thanks for sharing!
It doesn't get better than this! Sadly, it doesn't get anywhere near as good as this anymore.
This is so charming! Such an intriguing concept for a bit. Working in Chavalier's songs so well. They act so naturally, they couldn't have had much time to work it up - lots of orchestration with all those modulations. Love it! Smart entertainment!
.
Brilliant!
I love Maurice and Bing! I am very happy to find this video of the both together!
What a pleasure to watch them both, these two greats of different country but loved by all.
@rejeanguay6336 Cheavalier came to Hollywood in 1930s/40s where he achieved his greatest success. No doubt Bing knew him back then
.
Two of my favorite singers of all time together this is amazing
Simply Fantastic---the best of the best! Class all throughout every fiber of their performance. Truly great!

Allegedly Chevalier could speak fluent unaccented english, but the accent was part of his schtik.
I heard about that. He always spoke English with his accent because everyone loved his accent.
And who have we got now .. Ant and Dec :/ not quite the same really is it lol so glad I grew up watching the old films and listening to the old music via my parents,I hadn't quite appreciated it at the time but boy I do now :D

@@shyannedianne1962 you welcome
@@shyannedianne1962 is he your favorite France musician?
I have the LIFE magazine from the same month and year this was filmed. The cover photo has Chevalier and Crosby sitting next to each other with Chevalier's head resting on Bing's right shoulder. The cover reads "Chevalier and Crosby: Two Old Pros in TV Songfest. MARCH 10, 1961. 20 CENTS." I wish I could share a picture of it!
Anymore please
“Sank heaven for leetle ghurlz!”
Now I know where August Darnell had the idea for the little book when he performed "I'm a wonderful thing, baby" with Coati Mundi on stage... and the canotier hat of course!
Cute ++++
😊 😊 😊I'm very pls to know I'm not the only one that loves😍 👆 the song but when last did you play it
superbe c'est quand maurice était aux état unis

What book were they talking about in the beginning? Maurice's book
One of his autobiographies called "With Love".
le jeune premier..on ètait toutes amoureuses de Louis Jourdan.......
It’s unfair bings lap is brighter lighted&clear maurice too dark for seeing where to kiss him
Imagine this song is new in 2020.lol
Sounds exactly like Lumiere from the beauty and the beast. Lol
The singer who did its voice (both in english and french) was in fact told to imitate Maurice Chevalier voice !
Regards.
Thank God, they don´t sing with Julio Iglesias.
That pal´s got, not a little black book, but an encyclopedia.
Maurice chevalier et mort en 1972
Sadly!
