My 10 yr old decided to make and sell these as a fun raiser to help kids go to a summer camp this year. He made these all by herself and has sold quite a few. I am so proud of her. No one told she needed to do this, it was just out of the kindness of her heart.
I like the copper, my home town is one of the biggest copper mines in the world... but I was wondering if the copper coated nails turn green over a period of time to cause skin to discolor also... thanks for the video...
At 3 minutes and 33 seconds in the video you will see the device that I built to make the bend. You can also use a 3/8 " carriage bolt. Drill a 1/8" hole near the edge of the rounded top. You will have to experiment with it to get it right.

I never have one on that long because I give away the one that I wear at least one or two each week. I make them 50 at a time.
My wife paints the solder part then she sprays the cross with a clear coat. no green.

I see the device but what did you use to make it?
It was hit and miss. I found a handle and had to experiment with just the right sized hole to make the bend in the video.
