I’m just over the 3 year mark and still love it. I ride 3-4 days a week. Also, we cycle outdoors during the spring and summer months. This doesn’t take away from my peloton time. Great platform and great variety of content. We just ordered the Row.
I’ve had my Peloton for over 2 years and absolutely love it. I use it all of the time. Truly, I think people just easily give up on things. Look at all of the New Year resolutions that never come to pass! If you want a result, that takes work and dedication.
I have had the Peloton for 2yrs and I have been riding road bikes for years. When I get home after work, I don’t have 4hrs to ride. I hop on the Peloton for 30 min. I always strive to Finnish first (at least top 3). At times I’ll Finnish, get off the bike and almost pass out because I push myself soo hard. I love it!
As a long-time cyclist, replacing those pedals annually is insane. They are regular Look Delta-style pedals like cyclists have used for decades. Worst case, if you do a lot of outdoor walking in your cycling shoes, you might wear down the *cleats* that quickly, but very few Peloton users are going to be walking around that much wearing down their cleats. The pedals themselves should be fine for many years unless you are misusing them, and usually it is the bearing that goes bad first, not the spring for the clip- in/out. If the clip-in/out becomes too loose or too tight, look underneath the pedal for the small "+/-" adjustment bolt. Using a hex-wrench, you can adjust the spring tension to be tighter or looser in about 5 seconds. That should be all you need to keep your pedals going for a long time. I hope this is helpful to someone.
I was gifted my bike in 2022 and really loved it. I no longer use it as often because I just have had a hard time spending $600/yr to use the device and now that gyms are open I get more variety for less money. But it is good if you want to focus on cycling only.
i’ve had this bike for over two years and can’t tell you how much I love it. I don’t have time nor do I live in an area where I can hop on a bike or unfortunately, running without taking my life in my own hands. This bike is great and has really improved my cardiovascular health.
Is no one going to mention that your seat is too high. Your hips are rocking back and forth and you look very uncomfortable. Look up a video on how to adjust your bicycle seat height and you won't be rocking and bouncing as you do in the videos. Hope it helps
I've cycled for decades and I don't see the purpose other than motivation to have a subscription to an application. My advice is get the bike, use their free service you get for 30 days, then just ride the bike and watch videos, listen to music, whatever you want to do. You can burn just as many or more calories if you up your out put. It's a lot of money for the experience that should be free. Someone should create a free cycling community that people can join online.
Commenting as other cyclists have. 1. You dont need to replace the pedals, it’s the cleats on the shoes that wear out. 2. You can replace the pedals with versions used on road bikes. My preference is Shimano SPDs with a mountain bike style shoe.
Ross - I was wondering about that as I have an older pair of Sidi SPD mountain bike shoes I love and would be more comfortable in. I tried my friend’s peloton last week and am on the fence for a new indoor trainer and toad bike or one of these.
Exactly what I did. Gravel shoes with recessed cleats are easier to walk around in, and I got a perfect fit from a local bike shop. Peloton pedal threads are standard sizes so upgrading at a bike shop is easy. Same goes for saddles. Any saddle with standard rails will work on the Peloton bike.
Get a Sunny Health and Fitness Bike everyone, if you get a spin bike you can buy a cadence measurer for it. Then can pay monthly for Peloton classes if desired. Ive done it. Way cheaper and good workouts.
Purchased my Peloton about a year ago. Used it heavily for about 2 months and then realized I completed every Metal ride they had to offer. A lot of the metal rides were repeat songs as well sadly. It's kind of crazy to have to replace pedals that often.
