- The HONEST truth about my Peloton Bike after 2 years and 350+ rides. We attempt to give a 2 year review of our experience with Peloton. We've had the Peloton Bike as well as the Peloton Bike+. We know there's a stigma that goes along with owning a Peloton product but in general if a Peloton product will get you to exercise then we think that Peloton is worth it. The Peloton is not likely to motivate you to exercise but the Peloton is very motivating once you're on the bike.

The Peloton bike gives you No Excuses. If your having a hard time walking into your living room to jump on the bike for 30 minutes then you have even bigger issues. The convenience of the bike is next level.

I hate exercising. So much. But I still have over 500 rides on my Peloton. So much easier than going to the gym.

I love my peloton, it’s a game changer for me.
I actually brought up the concern about support and software to Peloton before purchasing my bike. Now granted this was from a peloton rep, but they said that the software is the same across the board for both bikes, and that the same software updates that are pushed to the Bike+ are pushed to the regular Bike. So there shouldn’t be a concern about the bike model you have not being supported anytime soon or at all for that matter. The only hardware difference performance wise on the bikes is that the Bike+ has faster RAM. The only way I could see there being a support issue is if the regular bike ram couldn’t handle updates at some point, but that isn’t likely. Hence the reason you see in some of these comments that some people have had their bikes for years. That was my main concern and reason for not buying one until now. Mine arrives this week.
Hey, great video. I have the Peloton bike plus and I love it sooooo much. I use it every day and it's a game changer for me. I'm fitter than before because I really push myself on this bike compared to my last spin bike. Love it so much.

Totally agree. I did CrossFit before the pandemic and ideally still would but I have a 6 year old and work at home. The ease and convenience definitely trumps the gym at my stage of life. Just discovered Saturday 60 which is pretty good.

I totally agree. I did CrossFit, paid extra on top of my family gym membership. When Covid hit, we bought the bike and a bunch of gym equipment. Have not gone back to the gym since, and have had better results (and it actually saves money). I love the variety of classes. It even got me into yoga, which is something I would have never done at the gym.I love my Peloton.
@@shywhispers1 I don’t think I have better results I’d probably say there not comparable. Before I had managed to get the odd muscle up, I could squat, deadlift heavy etc and move. Now it’s pure cardio running or biking mainly and no comparable weights. I love it tho, I think people go through different seasons in life. The other option would be to do street parking but living in the uk I don’t have a garage never mind a double one.
In the Uk Jan 23 they are having a sale and the standard bike is £1,145-00 including delivery and set up. The price is still £39.00 a month as well. But I will check with the site as to when the price will rise.

Yeah, it's gone way up too. Once you buy the bike they've got you. But so far the convenience outweighs that for us.
You obviously don’t know what the fucc you’re talking about. When you get the all access Peloton membership? That one membership price covers everyone of their products and they now have four products that you can choose from and still only use one membership. No other company does that! They either have one price for one product and it’s usually more than what Peloton is charging for the all access. Stop lying to yourself. take Tonal for example. They have the same exact one machine that they created six years ago. Nothing new, nothings upgraded, but they’ve raised the price by $1000 and increased the membership 20% if you want to choose a gym membership over what Peloton offers? That’s your decision to make. But don’t be trying to make it seem like, it’s a better choice when you have to pay for gas and drive away from your home to Exercise, not to mention, possibly even waiting for certain machines to be able to use them because of the overcrowding. Peloton is embarking on smart Home Gym systems to alleviate the hack and hustle of you having to go elsewhere. If you can’t see the affordability in that? Then stop complaining and take your ass to a gym and leave us smarter people who can see the benefits of Peloton Membership and Products way better than you? Thanks.

I have had my bike for 8 years and the only upgrade I did to it was the screen. Actually really surprised they support the tablets as long as they do and that it continues to work as well as it does. To me the biggest con is the rusting issues. Even with that though my 8 year old bike still works great. Super good product for sure. The instructors are awesome like you said.

@@mattk8810 Thanks may be worth checking out. How would that work on the screws that adjust the handle bars and seat post? That is the only area I have had rust issues.
Two thing to add:
1 You can have several (10 i think) users under that one subscription.
2 If you also have the tread there is no additional added to the monthly fee.
6 months in nearly 400 rides for me, 175 for my wife and @20 runs in (I've had the tread for @ a month) and a total of @1200 workouts (between wife and i) for $@45 per month is pretty cheap compared to my wife's YMCA $75 per month membership.
I feel like you could hang your iPad off the screen and use Apple fitness cycling classes if you get tired of the peloton sub and wanted to save a few dollars.

good video. i went with the joroto x2 bike for $330 and an Apple fitness plus membership for the cycling classes. only 10 bucks a month
The membership is $59 a month in Australia. It may seem steep but works out just a bit cheaper than a gym membership and its far more convenient.
I get that. I was paying almost 3x for my gym membership before switching to Peloton.
GoodLife all access gym pass is $16.11 a week. So $69 a month vs. $59. Guess you pay for convenience when you can’t be assed driving 15 mins to the gym.
@@user-uf9jz7xw4h yeah it's more about time and convenience for me. 10hrs work, family, hobby 1 day a week. Can't really take a gym membership and go for an hour every day.
"Australia tax" is crazy, we pay twice as much as the Americans for just about everything, our living costs are 10th highest in the world and our housing prices are 2nd highest in the world (on the plus side Australia has a higher standard of living than America).
If Pelaton prices get really crazy maybe try searching "How to Load Zwift or TrainerRoad on a Peloton Bike: A Geek’s Guide"...

Crossfit pull-ups. They look silly.
The only thing that is stopping me from buying a peloton is the lack of scenic rides.
It does have scenic rides.
Instructors are more like celebrities then trainers and I can’t get into training with them any more. I switched to Apple Fitness as i find it to be much more legit In regard to health and fitness
You use the wrong word. It’s ‘than’ trainers, not then. And if you’re so excited about Apple fitness, save your comments for that program and leave Peloton use it alone. You’re a simple comment is not gonna change any of the members.😢😂

what does a Peloton bike owner do when their bike starts to break down? I've had mine for 19 months and I am starting to hear a "clank" when I am pedalling hard. The bike still works but I don't like this "clank" sound.
@D Mac Do you have a warranty on your bike? That happened to my bike w/ clank and since i have a warranty they gave me the option to get new bike or they can fixed it . Call Pelton 📞.

@@arlenehayles1892 Thanks for the reply Arlene. I think my waranty is expired (I've had my for almost two years). But do Peloton offer house call service? I was planning on calling them.
I think I'm going to rent mine. It includes the membership.
If you call the customer service they will assist you! Warranty or not, you can get it fixed. I had a similar issue it was a little over $100 to replace the part. (Still cheaper than a new bike)
But... Wouldnt it be better to just buy a used quality excercise bike and a TV, watch anything u like, no monthly payments
No. The classes on peloton are amazing and really work you out. There are other classes as well…..strength training, yoga, Pilates, barre, and so forth.

Your perturbed. Your choice of upgrading was purely your decision to make, and Peloton steel utilizes the capabilities of the original peloton bike! Simply saying that Peloton is no longer going to support their devices Ludacris. They, like any other company has every right to introduce new options, upgrades, and, new products. But I have yet to see Peloton not support any of their old products and we never will.
Anyone use it on carpet?
Supernatural VR much better. $320 all in for one year, includes the headset and one year subscription, then $100/year after that. Full body workout, much much better.

Full disclosure: If you don’t like riding a bike, do NOT buy a Peloton. Extremely expensive, then monthly expense and a sore ass after each ride. Want to stare at a screen and pretend you’re riding a bike there? If these are so great, why can’t I sell it for $500 when they are $3000 new? Literally can’t give it away….the number of Pelotons up for sale is staggering. The stock was at $168 now at $3. It isn’t what they say it is. If it was great, why can you now rent them? 🤷♂️
Peloton disabled cameras on all of their bikes today, ruining the video chat feature
Wonder why they did it! Knowing they sold it to us with a camera. Makes me a bit upset even if I didn’t use it all the time.

Recurring subscription fee? no thanks. Get plenty of daily exercise on bicycle with child seat running errands.
For the price of either bike toure better off purchasing a road bike, a msart trainer and a zwift account for a much more realistic cying experience.
Ripoff product.
