just tried it! the foam by itself still had a bad instant coffee taste, but once mixed into the milk it was foamy and delicious with only the thai tea flavor. a lot of effort but worth it for that texture!
I’m very lucky! I always wondered if he looked at me like that and now I have it caught on camera! ☺️ Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comment! - Angie
@@sanjanadevaraj7036 I believe she meant American-Style Thai Iced Tea (Using a French Press, rather than using the traditional Thai method of a cheesecloth strainer multiple times, just for convenience). 🫂🍀
LOVE this idea! I have that exact thai tea and loved the regular dalgona coffee. I actually found that it fluffed better with cold water and less sugar! Definitely trying it with the thai tea. now all I need is some boba lol
Thank you for solving this. I figured the same thing but was hoping it be able to be done without the coffee...I still want to try and get it done without coffee though(😂) or at least w/the least amount of coffee
Yes no egg whites! I've seen a lot of other recipes that did use egg whites and I wasn't sure how I felt about that haha very happy that we got it to whip up without using egg whites
I followed the whipped one almost to a T and it turned out great! I modified the other drink by adding evaporated and sweetened condensed milk instead of half and half and it was also super delicious!
Thanks! The coffee version tastes a little caramely. It’s also very decadent. The whipped Thai tea tastes exactly like Thai tea but richer and creamier!
The coffee thing is so so cool but just do this sparingly because instant coffee has a higher amount of acrylamide in it which is a carcinogen. I would stick to darker roasts of brewed coffee or espresso to avoid it. Also the serving size for instant coffee is 1 tsp, so if you have anxiety probs definitely be careful with the amount of coffee you use.
Hey guys we love your videos such good quality really well filmed and smooth editing Jason that makes for an enjoyable watch. Angie you are so informative and have a great voice. Haaa love that Jason is always the shaker! 10K views guys smashing it! You will be growing so fast! Keep it up. Stay safe
We have been putting a lot of hours into editing our videos lately. We have come a long way from our first videos, but have a lot to learn still. I think we'll need to invest into a hand mixer at some point haha. Thanks for your support 🙂
We tried this method with matcha powder and failed. I tried using powdered creamer, sugar and hot water and also couldn’t get it to whip up. The only people I’ve seen do it successfully have used either egg whites or heavy cream.
Hi Jason and Angie. The is Ingrid I love dalgona Thai tea. It was delicious and I reduce my sugar. I also want to make Thai tea dalgona boba. When I was making dalgona , I always use mixer as always .
Thank you! I love Thai tea also! We just bought two big bags of tea so we will be trying out other ways to use it. The Dalgona version came out very good!
I don’t think it’ll whip up without the instant coffee. The instant coffee helps give it volume. We used only 1/2 a tbsp of it and the Thai tea flavor was so strong that we couldn’t taste the coffee. If you don’t have instant coffee handy, you can try other methods that whip up. For example, whip up egg whites or heavy cream first then add Thai tea for flavoring. Hope this helps
You could also try aquafaba (the juice chickpeas come in when canned) it's a common egg replacement and could get that whip effect without dairy or raw egg
@Angela Aoyama The Starbucks cloud macchiato has egg white powder in the cloud powder- that's what makes the foam stiffer than usual. At least, this is the case in the US.

that shaker bottle is genius!
It's a nice alternative if you don't have a hand mixer, and it's faster than whisking by hand.
ive never thought of the shaker i alwas tried using it with a fork ans it takes a long time to make it.
@@sarah607chang So I tried it with the shaker and it works well, but I think I like the whisk better. That or a Kitchen Aid, haha!
Can’t wait to make this with my imaginary girlfriend!
She was waiting for you to learn how to make this, and now you are ready ;)
This is a blessing I never thought of mixing tea and coffee before
Should put condense milk in it
Yea I'm thai. Thats how we do it.

Its 100% worth all the effort to wisk😁

Would it work to use only Thai tea power, no coffee? Can only Thai tea power build foam?

You can try using a coconut cream just whip it and then mix it with thai tea powder once it’s whipped
