    Alan Watts Bibliography
Alan Watts is one of the most widely read philosophers of the 20th century. In addition to his 28 books, Alan Watts delivered hundreds of public lectures and seminars the recordings of which have been preserved in the archives of the Electronic University. Alan's eldest son Mark Watts has reviewed and cataloged these talks to prepare them for public broadcast. In 2005 Amber Star of Zencast.org created Alan Watts podcast to help disseminate these lectures to a new iPod listening generation . Today the Electronic University and Zencast.org are pleased to present the highlights of the spoken works of Alan Watts.

We're all deep down longing for death, surely?... The beautiful death. That silent place..
Can't wait for it..... The rolling wave, the cool sea breeze, sunlight on the water. Bring me Lord!

I would have loved to have an argument with this guy. I've discovered all the things he has talked about in the course of my own life. Early on, his poetry was an assist and I do still hold him in great regard. But his views on the material world and science especially are very amateurish. No researcher properly practicing science would make a claim to know what a bird feels, for example. He is cherry picking something he may have read or heard to create a straw man and he's doing it specifically to describe a vague, immeasurable feeling best left to art and poetry to begin with. Science and poetry are not non-overlapping magisteria.
