I think some of the reasons for why people do that even though they believe their dead ones went to heaven could be either or both of these: A) It's as if your loved ones go on a trip and you might not see them for 10, 50, or 100 years until you supposedly go to heaven. People still cry even knowing they will see each other again. I know my cousin and I cried when we were young and either of us had to go home and be separated again. She didn't even have a phone back then, a letter once in a blue moon was all we could get from each other. B) You'd not know if they're going to heaven or hell. You'd not even be sure if you'd be going to heaven. So even if all of what religion says is true, there's still the possibility of NEVER seeing your loved ones again and the possibility that your loved ones are roasting in hell somewhere because they did something that was against God's orders.

@@bren2385 the Quran and Bible both have equal amounts of contradictions as they started in the same area then diverted into the religious we know today.
@Artificial Super Intelligence That is a simple answer. Because God(whatever this is) is a man-made construct. It was created by ancient illiterate people who couldn't understand how things work. Then, much years later, came the monotheistic religions, which grasp the idea of what God(whatever this is) should be by starting to articulate the delusional concept in writings and have them literally forced down people's throat. Keep in mind that the delusional concept of God (whatever this is) is always changing to fit the present society/civilization. One good question is how come we went from many Gods(whatever these are) to one God (whatever this is)? Also, people forgot to ask where was this God(whatever this is) before all the other Gods(whatever these are) who were much older than the one the monotheistic religions are worshipping at the present? If I invented the wheel, there is no way you can come at a much later time and try to claim that you were the first one to invent the wheel. You probably can change the style of the wheel, but not the actual function of the wheel. This is exactly what the monotheistic religions have done, which the majority of people don't see.

@@lupen_rein it wasn't even the Jews in question. She said the state so I'm guessing the Romans. But I mean that's a crazy reason for stating the death penalty was ok.
The reason that was used to hate Jews in the crucifixion was because once a yr there was a tradition of releasing a prisoner, the public had a choice between Jesus and a dude named barnarbus (I think) who was a murderer. By that reasoning it was Jewish people's fault. (It really wasn't)

@@GhostFan-ev4di Actually, there is. For the big bang, there is evidence of all kinds, physical, logical, mathematical. As for aliens... we are aliens in a way. Just life forms on a rock hurtling through space. So if that is a thing that happened once, in this endless universe, chances are that it could happen more times. I mean, if there was one god actually living among us, like Zeus or something, it wouldn't be an outrageous thought to think that there might be another one around somewhere. It's just that not only is there no evidence for any God, but there is no evidence for magic, which is the prerequisite for a god existing. @@GhostFan-ev4di How did he set all of that in motion? Again, there's no evidence for magic existing. We're not talking about a god existing, we're talking about whether a god might exist; and there's no evidence to suggest that. So you have to 1) accept that a primal force has to create/set in motion the big bang, which there is no evidence for, 2) accept that a universal force exists that allows consciousness to affect matter (magic), which there is also no evidence for and 3) accept that the primal force that caused the big bang was a god, which actually doesn't even follow from the first two premises. And all of that _for absolutely no reason,_ because there is nothing that suggests that you need a primal force; instead such a thing is logically impossible because of infinite regression. Do you see why it's just the most ridiculous "hypothesis" ever constructed? It's all post-hoc rationalization with no evidence, just to support an idea taken from fantasy novels. It's crazy.
SINA it’s a very uncomfortable reality many believers are not willing to face. We all naturally grieve, but if one was a true Christian surely they would believe this life is only temporary and their loved ones are simply on a long vacation as they will see them again for all eternity in a heavenly paradise right? (Many Christians are told this life is small compared to heaven) I once talked to a co-worker who was Catholic who loves their dog dearly and during the relevant conversation I asked do you believe your dog will go to heaven? She said “I would hope he would go to heaven” Many Christians simply can not or are not willing to look at the Religion that has been ingrained into them and realize they don’t need it. Religion can not survive without people, but people definitely can live without Religion.

Bubba Tao here’s the thing, it’s impossible to disprove god. The fundamentals of an all powerful being makes it so. And it may be possible that god is real and that we do not understand or hope to understand how, though that is an assumption. it’s not like reality doesn’t defy all logic and reason either. for every effect there is a cause but there is no cause or effect without reality and so there has to be no cause to reality but that would mean that reality doesn’t exist even though we know it does because we experience it all the time. The New Testament Manuscripts are by far the most testified than any other in the ancient world. Whether you believe them or not. The only problem people have, is not so much the manuscripts, its Jesus' claim as the incarnate God and UR accountability to him. Lets face it, if Jesus claimed to be just another teacher you wouldn't have a problem with the manuscripts or Jesus. Furthermore, respectively it wouldn't make any difference to you how many people backed any manuscript, the problem for you is what's being reported and proclaimed. The problem with most Atheists which is very common perhaps like yourself. Is you always hear, I'll only believe in God if he appears before me in the flesh. The Website I posted previously - www.doesgodexistandbeyond.com/evidenceoftheresurrection/ and Biblical Manuscript Comparisons - www.doesgodexistandbeyond.com/manuscriptevidenceofthebiblepages/ Simply points out the reported events under close examination, logically affirm truthful and honest reporting, and no reason to deceit people. No-One today was there. However, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. So what needs to be done is to thoroughly examine the entire reported events, the people, the places, the leaders of both the Jews and the enemies of Jesus etc etc. The reporting by the witnesses, was it sincere and truthful testimony ? And what makes it truthful ? What was there intention ? Especially after the Resurrection claims. And what happened to them afterwards and their response. Was there any motive for personal gain, power or personal wealth, and so on. Also examining Jesus' enemies and their actions and why ? What was there intent and why ? And importantly, answering skeptic accusations who try to discredit those reported witness events and what followed. And there is a method used of separating fact from fiction. That is to investigate and consider all the reported events and claims, before making any final decision. Not just dismissing them for personal reasons. This is what Law Courts do today to establish the Truth. And when you apply that same approach, of Analytical Investigation, the Resurrection account and the witness reporting, stand Solid and Firm. Whether you believe them or not. But you need to examine these events with No Pre - Conceived ideas. Because if you do, which is what most people do. Then you'll reject the possibility of the Resurrection, before giving yourself a chance to make an informed decision. There needs to be a genuine open and honest examination into what was reported, and the possibility of the existence of an Eternal God. Regardless of any pre - views you have. An impartial or unbiased examination of the reported Jesus of History must be completed, not a distorted or misrepresentation of him. And unfortunately is spread by many opponents of Jesus today. It looks and examines all sides, exploring relative questions and events that took place to establish truthful testimony. Just like any Court of Law does today. Criminals are proven guilty in Law Courts by these investigative methods, even though No-One was there to witness the crime. However, convictions are passed by Reason and Logical Analysis. Those same principles apply with the witnesses and the testimony of Jesus and the Resurrection. And it's by these same processes and an honest analytical assessment; a person can come to know the truth of those witnessed reported accounts. And in doing so, we find the witnessed reporting of Jesus and his Resurrection is established as truthful reporting, and absolutely no reason for deception. The events that took place leading up to Resurrection account and after, must be examined with no Pre - Suppositions or it will be futile. Obviously when you read through this website, you are going to read about Christian Doctrine, that can't be helped. Even though you may not like it, you've got to understand or at least engage the reasoning why people are convicted by Jesus Christ. This is essential to have any understanding of Christianity, and unfortunately most people who reject Christianity, have little understanding and knowledge of Jesus and the bible and why people are convicted to believe. So you need to get through it. Before making any decisions, if any ? There's some interesting information on there that's not well known. It may even give you something to think about. Many people say they'll believe in God if God appears to them, and then proves himself. Here's an analogy of the nature of God, which may help you. There is the logical problem of what is called a category mistake, which is mixing categories. It would be like saying that a person will judge the value of a painting by how much it weighs. Aesthetic value is not the same category as physical weight. These are different categories; hence, a category mistake. So, it is a category mistake to look for the physical representation of the non-physical being. It is a category mistake to ask for non-transcendent evidence for a transcendent being. Anyone who genuinely seeks the existence of God, with no Pre - Conceived ideas will find and be convicted by God of the bible. God has made him-self available and accessible to him. To seek the existence of God is the most important knowledge a person can come to know. However, you must investigate with the intention of examining the real Historical Jesus and his claims. Not a false Jesus, that people like to promote. He claimed Divinity not just a mere man. So you must examine those claims thoroughly, not just dismiss them because of the supernatural. If this is what you or anyone else does, you very much limit Ur chances of discovering God of the bible. And believe it or not, it does grieve me if that's the case.

You profoundly believe that you cease to exist. A pitiful, pointless existence is all we’ve got in your eyes. Depression should be ever more rampant as religion dies, as there is nothing at all to live for if a lack of belief is mankind’s religion. A side note, as devil’s advocate for free will - this is the easiest argument in the book to defend. If God directly interferes with the free will of, let’s say.. attempting conception? Another belter, and one which is very relevant here in the UK. We have Christians here who maintain that our laws were based upon the Bible, and will not listen to people like myself who point out that while that was once true, both Scots and English Law are in fact based in Roman Law. The simple fact is that both law systems had to move away from Biblical Law and become more secular, for the simple reason that when justice is not tempered with mercy, and Biblical Law is not, then it immediately fails to be just.
Yes we have improved once our knowledge has grown. Christianity is out of public law Christianity is out of public schools Lets make Christianity to be out of public public ;)
But God is merciful! I know because the pastor says so. That means his laws must also be merciful, and I don't even need to read them to know that's true!

I attended church for nearly 20 years. It was when I was in high school that I started to doubt the existence of god and it wasn't until adulthood that I became an atheist. It was because I realized that the god of the bible is selfish and inconsistent. There were too many things in the texts that made me scratch my head and no one had any answers for me other than "don't question god's will". I was so tired of being forced to worship a god so morally broken. God (and the people he deemed worthy) could preform so many atrocities and I was suppose to see it as "good" and "kind" and 'just". No. Even if Yhwh was real I would not want to worship someone like him.

God at Deuteronomy 24:16: 16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. (KJV) God at Exodus 34:7 7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. (KJV) I guess he’s a do as I say not as I do kind of god.
bluewave 2018/2020 Good one! Joshua 7:24, 25: The entire family of Achan including his sons, daughters, bull, donkey, flocks and every single thing he owned were stoned & burned. More than 36 Israelite soldiers also died at the hands of the men of Ai, for Achan’s sin. And who could forget 2 Samuel 24:15, where god killed 70,000 innocent people for David’s sin of conducting a census. I tell ya, if this god character is real, he is the most vindictive, sadistic monster that this universe has ever known!
Deut 24:16 This verse teaches moral responsibility for one's own sin and its consequences. This seems to contradict passages elsewhere that suggest that the sins of parents have repercussions for many generations to come. There is a difference, however, between the transmission of guilt and accountability on the one hand, and the aftereffects on the other. For example, David's children were not held responsible for his adultery and murder, but they paid the price as members of the dysfunctional family his sin produced. Exodus 34;7 Although this verse seems to say that God punishes children for the sins of their parents, that is not the case. God does not condemn children because of their parents' sinful choices. A parent's adultery, substance abuse, manipulation or other dysfunctional behavior establishes a pattern that children model as they mature. The result can be repetition of their parents' emotional brokenness leading to conflict, divorce, poverty or other conditions that make their children's and even their grandchildren's lives difficult. In this verse God suggests that one reason we should obey Him is for the sake of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Like ripples spreading across a pool of calm water, our actions have consequences for generations to come. We can create waves of difficulty or blessing. I guess you're not a do research kind of guy.
My son died. When I think of him reincarnating, i don't cry. When i think of him being deleted from the universe, i cry non stop. He was only 32 when he died, and he didn't deserve to die, he had a good soul, and deserved better. Life is cruel n unfair. N i hate God.
If everything we do is part of his plan than how do we even have free will? I've heard some say that he only gives us some free will and steps in when needed, but because of the butterfly effect, even small things would completely change the outcome of his plan, meaning he would need to CONSTANTLY be stepping in. I mean it would have to be like 99. 9% God and 0.1% you. What's he even really gonna judge us on in that case? When most of our lives we're just puppets!
Maybe the truth is either God likes playing with flesh dolls or maybe we really DO have free will and God is simply waiting for someone to see them as an equal. Maybe God just wanted a friend who won't fear 'em, but treat 'em like how we treat our friends.
That reminds me of a game where god is evil and you summon satan to kill him in the final boss. It has themes of multiple mythologies and also references the butterfly effect as in a bunch of everyday people defeated god by summoning satan and shooting a giant pistol round straight into his head. In that game god is basically a malevolent and controlling god and is based of of gnosticism which is basically the polar opposite of christianity.
God doesn't need to do any judging, he is omniscient, he knows beforehand what a person will do in their life even before they are born. Therefore no Judgment Day.
Hey DarkMatter2525, I have an idea for your future video. If God is supposed to be the creator of everything, and if everything that he creates is good, then imagine God playing the piano. Would that be the greatest piano piece imaginable? Or have God cook dinner. Would that be the best tasting dinner in the universe? Christians often give God credit for trees and clouds. Why hasn't God ever created anything that requires talent. Where's this impeccable painting by God who had infinite amount of time to draw? If God created a video game, would that be the most perfect game in the universe? Does God have any talent? Can he sing? Does he have the most beautiful singing voice because he's God? So your video title should be "God's Got Talent". lol
That's initially one of the many paradoxes about God, Christianity and Religion in general. You take note of the fact that in the Bible, God - who is the creator of the universe - tasks his followers, whoever they be, to make things FOR him... So let me get this straight...God can create Dinosaurs, Viruses, the Ocean, the Earth, the Sun, and all the Stars in the sky within just a few days... But he can't make a Box and line it with gold? He can't make a chariots of iron for his stuck-in-the-bronze age believers to use in battle? He can't make a boat to fit two of every animal inside of, so his best option is to rely on a 900 year old drunk to do it for him? It's why I believe that the Bible actually implies that God didn't create anything, but instead took credit for it.
God takes a dump; best shite ever! OOH! OOH! You know what would be fun; find some fossilized feces (great name for a band?) and sell it to gullible theists as Jebesus poop.
Can you make trees and clouds out of nothing?...How about fully functional and hospitality planets and stars? How about all of reality and even a nice set of governing laws to help it all run smoothly? Ooo ooo! Can you creat a race of sentient beings that think they're smarter than you even though they aren't even smart enough to leave their own planet travel next door and come back again? No? Guess you're not that talented. Pretty pictures though. 😂
God Bear - I can tell you that an imaginary being such as the Christian god, who happens to not exist much less have any talent, can not make trees and clouds out of nothing. Christian god cannot even make himself out of nothing. Right? If he was real, then I would have paid to see him in concert performing his perfect compositions. Instead you're saying he left us trees? lololol

A Mary Sue is a character in a story that is implemented to be perfect in the author's view; Everyone loves them, and the people who don't are evil. They are portrayed as having no character flaws, with the exceptions of some with minor flaws like clumsiness or "they're bad at math". The rules of their world usually bend to follow them. However, Mary Sues are some of the most hated things in the community because they are unrealistic and unrelatable. The only person who likes them is their creator, the artist or author. God seems to fit the definition of a Mary Sue, so I've come to the conclusion that Christians don't enjoy the concept of God as something they love with all of their hearts, but it is something they fear. They obey religious leaders because they think if they don't, they'll suffer for eternity. This is the trick of the author, who was someone educated in the field of literacy, but not in science. This author created God in such a way that the concept was a prison that religious people thought was benevolent. Picture a cage, but there's a simple way to get out. All you have to do is wake up from a dream you're having. You're convinced that the dream is real, even when confronted by people who get out of the cage by people who have woken up. You fight them, even though the evidence is clear and truthful. However, you still yearn for the comfort of the dream, and that's one of the reasons that arguing with a theist is so difficult: They are desperate.
You’re videos have been awesome at helping lead me to a better understanding of what was wrong with my previous way of thinking. Thank you and keep up the great work!
"There will be wars in the future, and people will speak against each other and believe what they want to believe" LOL just had an argument with a Christian this morning who legitimately thought these kind of prophecies proved we were in the end of times.
"Why do we grieve at funerals into of rejoice that someone went to heaven?"
THANK YOU
I think some of the reasons for why people do that even though they believe their dead ones went to heaven could be either or both of these:
A) It's as if your loved ones go on a trip and you might not see them for 10, 50, or 100 years until you supposedly go to heaven.

How can you belive in someone that you have no evidence that he exist? Cause people can belive in lies can be deceived, but biggest reason is the fear of death.
if that's the case, you could say the same thing about aliens and big bang,no evidence for either of those.
Not only is there no evidence that a god exists, there is no evidence that he _might_ exist. and that's leaps and bounds beyond both aliens and the big bang in terms of being not credible.
You can literally see the Big Bang in a telescope. looking through a very large telescope at very distant objects is like looking back in time, due to the fact that the light has taken billions of years to travel to us. You are seeing the universe as it was billions of years ago, and the further in distance away you look, the closer you get in time to the big bang. T

@@GhostFan-ev4di
How did he set all of that in motion? Again, there's no evidence for magic existing. We're not talking about a god existing, we're talking about whether a god might exist; and there's no evidence to suggest that.
So you have to
1) accept that a primal force has to create/set in motion the big bang, which there is no evidence for,
2) accept that a universal force exists that allows consciousness to affect matter (magic), which there is also no evidence for and
3) accept that the primal force that caused the big bang was a god, which actually doesn't even follow from the first two premises.
It's crazy.

maybe that is why we painfully grieve rather than rejoice when a loved one supposedly goes to heaven. SO TRUE!
SINA it’s a very uncomfortable reality many believers are not willing to face.
We all naturally grieve, but if one was a true Christian surely they would believe this life is only temporary and their loved ones are simply on a long vacation as they will see them again for all eternity in a heavenly paradise right? (Many Christians are told this life is small compared to heaven)
I once talked to a co-worker who was Catholic who loves their dog dearly and during the relevant conversation I asked do you believe your dog will go to heaven?
She said “I would hope he would go to heaven”
Many Christians simply can not or are not willing to look at the Religion that has been ingrained into them and realize they don’t need it.
Religion can not survive without people, but people definitely can live without Religion.
People grieve because they won't get to see their loved one for a long time either way . If you had someone that you really loved and they were going on a trip on a trip were you probably won't get to see them for decades wouldn't you be kind of sad
Too sensible and logical. Apologists won't get it.
Logical? Objective reason/logic cannot exist without God. Your perception is subjective, your reason cannot be valid as you have no objective standard. Your logic is subjective to infinite regress and without proving an infinite line of assumptions or reasoning from an infinite source, you cannot prove yourself to be correct.

And just assuming that reality has always been would mean that logic and reason don’t apply which would be going back on what you have said, the other choice is to say that there is no logic and reason which would allow, according to you, god to exist.

The Website I posted previously - www.doesgodexistandbeyond.com/evidenceoftheresurrection/ and Biblical Manuscript Comparisons - www.doesgodexistandbeyond.com/manuscriptevidenceofthebiblepages/
Simply points out the reported events under close examination, logically affirm truthful and honest reporting, and no reason to deceit people.
There is the logical problem of what is called a category mistake, which is mixing
categories. It would be like saying that a person will judge the value of a painting by how much it
weighs. Aesthetic value is not the same category as physical weight. These are different categories;
hence, a category mistake. So, it is a category mistake to look for the physical representation of the
non-physical being. It is a category mistake to ask for non-transcendent evidence for a transcendent
being.

Hmmm...good point as well...
Tomasz Kasperczyk i think its obvious that if a God stands before you and tells you not to kill anyone but then he tells you to kill sb (who’s been sinning, which means that he doesn’t punish righteous people but people that actually deserve it), he was having other intentions with the commands.
Now, I would also like to mention that, as far as I know, God Never commanded to kill babies, nor did he command the Israelites to kill the canaanites. He only commanded them to take over the land, he didn’t tell them to hunt them down or anything similar, however, the canaanites who resisted and wanted to fight died.
God could have prevented a whole lot of horrific deaths by making those evil Amorites (and pre-Flood people, and a whole host of others) infertile. They'd have just died out naturally.
When I pointed this out to a Christian, however, the response was that God doesn't interfere with free will.

Atheists are some of the strongest believers on the planet. Atheists never doubt like believers in religions struggle with. You’re the most devout cult of them all. Science is your god. Your prayer is your work, theories are your prophecies. Your faith? Your faith is in the fact that science will always have an answer. When it doesn’t, the room goes quiet. Half of science is based on the Big Bang THEORY. Beautiful faith, if I do say so myself. Some have a profound belief that their “soul” goes somewhere when they die. You? You profoundly believe that you cease to exist. A pitiful, pointless existence is all we’ve got in your eyes. Depression should be ever more rampant as religion dies, as there is nothing at all to live for if a lack of belief is mankind’s religion.
A side note, as devil’s advocate for free will - this is the easiest argument in the book to defend.
If God directly interferes with the free will of, let’s say.. attempting conception? Free will is dead. If conception is made impossible by a secondary force, your free will to have children is gone. If I remove your sex organs am I really going to question how that affects your ability to have children or make your own choice in that matter? No, I’m not an idiot.

I suppose the verse from Deuteronomy didn't apply to the son of David and Bathsheba.
Tfw you put Exodus after deuteronomy...
There's an order in the bible for a reason.

Everyone knows those babies where born pro choice and therefore chose death over hypocrisy.
Wait, you want free will when the Abrahamic god itself doesn't have any?
Maybe the truth is either God likes playing with flesh dolls or maybe we really DO have free will and God is simply waiting for someone to see them as an equal. Maybe God just wanted a friend who won't fear 'em, but treat 'em like how we treat our friends.
@@jomo5800 then maybe he shouldn't have been such a dick in the old testament
That reminds me of a game where god is evil and you summon satan to kill him in the final boss. It has themes of multiple mythologies and also references the butterfly effect as in a bunch of everyday people defeated god by summoning satan and shooting a giant pistol round straight into his head. In that game god is basically a malevolent and controlling god and is based of of gnosticism which is basically the polar opposite of christianity.
God doesn't need to do any judging, he is omniscient, he knows beforehand what a person will do in their life even before they are born.
Therefore no Judgment Day.
The snorting sound just kills me every time.
Imagine these characters having an argument with the characters from VeggieTales?
*I would SO pay money*
Instead you're saying he left us trees? lololol
@@newmoment3654
Your "joke" was assuming that he was real so I played along. You don't seem to think making a tree is as impressive as painting one so I just pointed out how stupid that was. *I'm not here to debate with you about the existence of God* , just pointing out a very obvious flaw in your statement. Sense you've now switched gears from "he's not that impressive" to "he's not real" I'll take my win and be on my way now. Good day and God bless sir. 🙏 😊
