Amazing performance! I’ve been a fan for 43 years and Squeeze hasn’t aged at all! Spot-on singing and music. Love your music and listen to all your songs every day.
I am going to see them in Glasgow tonight 30/10. Only seen them live once before. 1982, unbelievably exactly 40 years ago now. Still a great band and so looking forward to it tonight 🎸👍
Five minutes in it's hard to comprehend how there's such good quality audio, good quality video, yet such shitty camera work. What a great performance. Tilbrook has to be one of the most underrated artists ever.
I was never a Squeeze fan (though liked some of their singles) I don't know why. However, seeing them here in their 60s and displaying brilliant musicianship and playing these songs so effortlessly and sounding so true to the originals - wow! Impressed? You bet! Perfect audio and clear, stable camera.
I've always loved Squeeze! I saw them live a couple of weeks ago supporting Madness in Newcastle, so it was a short set, but easily the highlight of the night (Madness weren't on good form). I'm really keen to catch a full show like this one - what a brilliant selection of songs! Difford and Tilbrook are phenomenal songwriters.
Always enjoyed hearing their music but did not see them live until 2023 and I was completely blown away! Some have said they are like The Beatles of the 80s. I really never thought of it that way until I saw them perform live. What an amazing performance!
Been a fan of Squeeze since my eldest brother bought a copy of "Cool for cat's" on pink vinyl in 1979, I'm seeing them perform at Manchester Apollo on Bonfire night this year, can't wait.
Right around the time Squeeze was finally playing near my home (post-Covid) the show date was literally the day I was due to leave to go see my parents after not having seen them for over 2.5 years because if Covid. It was a tough choice; I’ve don’t know how many times I’ve seen Squeeze perform over the last 40 years (they get better each time) but I’ve also know my parents quite well. In the end my love for my parents won out but they got a bit tired of hearing my Squeeze catalog on rotation after approximately day 3 (lol). Fun was had by all!
Glenn....topknot? Luv ya brother, but a topknot? I mean it's no big deal, right? You and Chris are still monsters. All right. Go ahead, rock the topknot. Carry on.
@@dskay211 That Difford and Tilbrook aren't much more lauded is criminal but sadly so is Glenn's topknot. Political leaders must introduce legislation which outlaws these trichology tragedies, as some things must override personal choice. Topknots are the hairstyle equivalent of urinating in the street - you just don't go there - and I urge topknotters to think of others. The rest of us can't unsee such hairy abominations and it's rumoured a climber with a topknot is the reason the Yeti is rarely seen.
Thanks for Sharing, the quality is fab. 40 odd years ago when I saw them live in London and home counties when they were top and beginning of their game. Cool for Cats. Slap and Tickle, Jules on the keys.
"Squeeze" has been my favorite Band to Listen Too and Sing along to and harmonized with in my car since 1978. "Hour Glass" has alot of energy. This band is tight. So, Who's the keyboard player doing the solo on" Pulling Mussell's" The Percuss Nist knows the Licks and Spacing. Could not stop singing "I'm Thinking i aM gO gO gO gO gO gOOOOOO. The Guitar solo on is That is Love is amazing and brings tears to my eyes. Jaw dropping moment watching the piano player play accordion. Damn "Take Me Im Yous " and then "Cool For Cats" Tilbrook rocks on vocals. Percussions guys rock in rhtymn on "Goodbye Girl." Encore "If I Didnt Love you" hit me personal about my marrIAGE. ANDNOW SHE IS GONE "bLACK cOFFEE in Bed.
Squeeze 🫶🏼🫶🏼 I mean come on it doesn’t get better than this. Glenn Tilbrook is vastly underrated as a musician song writer and performer. Back in the days when musicians did it first the passion not the fame and money. Absolutely spot on 👌 Gifford and Tilbrook best of the best of British song writers.
I think I was about 15/16 in the late 70s and I was right into music. Squeeze was one of those great British bands. And there was some bloody good ones in the late 70s and 80s.
They didn't play their most enduring hit (by UA-cam views): "Another Nail in My Heart"! I wonder why...Surely Glenn can still handle the solo, even at 64?
I love squeeze!! The boys were a bit strained. As in Glenn's voice..., in my opinion. It was a nice show, but find another live performance and see how truly amazing a fresher glenn Tillbrook sounds. Just saw them at Radio City which was the first concert in a tour and Tilbrook was STELLAR!!!
Possibly my favourite band, of all time. Covered a lot of their stuff, throughout the years. So, I hate to be critical but here goes. For the sake of Glenn and Simon, I hope none of the set amounts to the word Beetlejuice being said 3 times.😅
Takes me right back to my bedsit (fold up crap bed near Clapham in the 1980’s (Jewish landlord over-charging and crap 50p gas meter), girlfriend gone and miles away from my family in Yorkshire. Yes, it was smelly - but only due to my own belly. Sweet and sour memories - but a great band I listened to a lot back then (cassettes).
holy cows move over rolling stones. This show was just the other day right well practically they look to be in fighting form I wish they would tour but that can be so debilitating by the way I saw you guys at American University in DC in the snow storm the next morning The Washington Post music critic gave you a pan saying Glenn looked very lonely up there that's not at all the way it was, he had the whole joint swaying back and forth why because he can and it looks like he still can no problem
Squeeze in Seattle was excellent. The sound was full and comfortable. I left feeling truly enriched.
Amazing performance! I’ve been a fan for 43 years and Squeeze hasn’t aged at all! Spot-on singing and music. Love your music and listen to all your songs every day.

Top of my bucket list.
I saw them in Oxford last week….they were awesome; I literally went back to my teens ❤😊 x
Same

I still can’t get enough of them. Love them.
These guys are great. Glenn Tilbrook is incredible. Should have been a giant in the music industry.
He is!
Yeah, but Chris writes all dem freezing words...... So....
Seeing "Up The Junction" live had me in tears. What a song.
Awesome. Chris is one of the finest storytellers in music.
One of my all time favorite bands. Tilbrook still sounds amazing!
I'm 55 Y/O and loved these guys since my teens or so. This gave me much needed happiness!
Wow! Blown away. Always been a Squeeze fan but never realized all the talent behind it.. Impressive.
How the #$#$# does Glenn sing and play those counterpoint guitar lines so effortlessly! Talent yo!!!
Good question. He's a freak of nature.
See XTC; Partridge, Andy.

Probably shot on a phone held up for an hour and half, I'll forgive the few jerky camera shots because the audio and video is so good.
INDEED Im just figuring that out now...just unbelievable
@@taofledermaus Thank you
These lads still give me goose bumps and I'm now 72!!

still the best! From the start (more or less) My fave band and what a set list
Wonderful band. First saw them in 1990. 2 of the very best songwriters this country has produced

Man this brings back memories. Lost count how many times I saw them live in the 80's.

The addition of the accordion to Third Rail is fantastic.
YES!!
Excellent. What a show. So many classic songs. Great lyrics and complex chord progressions effortlessly performed. True professional musicians. 👍🍷

@q I saw the topknot & thought the same think. I mean live & let live-it’s a personal choice I guess; who knows, maybe it keeps the hair out of his 👀.

Simply fabulous band! Huge Squeeze fan for decades!
this is wonderful... fantastic upload...many many thanks...👍✌️🇬🇧
Just saw them i Torquay tonight..they were amazing..Tilbrooks voice hasn't changed a bit and his guitar playing was on point during the whole gig
Still one of my favourite bands. The songs hold up after many years.
I shouted “YEH!” when I recognized that Hourglass was playing overhead while I was food shopping at Market Basket (Massachusetts)
I admit it. I had a huge crush on Glenn when I was a 20 something; long, long ago! This is AWESOME!!!
OMG Gilson still does the little jump at the end!!!!
Fantastic performance....what a song Goodbye Girl is.
Wish they could still perform it the way it was originally recorded, but this still was delightful.
Thanks for Sharing, the quality is fab. 40 odd years ago when I saw them live in London and home counties when they were top and beginning of their game. Cool for Cats. Slap and Tickle, Jules on the keys.
Jules Holland isn’t playing the keyboards. He left years ago
First saw Squeeze in the early 90's in Edinburgh. Were brilliant then and Still brilliant now !!
That's an awesome setlist. Reaching deep for terrific lost tracks like "F-Hole" and "Woman's World".
Glenn's solo on Take Me I'm Yours is incredible.
Squeeze songs are Perfect!!
That grin Glenn gave to Chris at 52:24 mark..... These guys are legends.
ahhh this is pure magic!!! wow...he has been doing this since i was 10 years old.. thank you for posting..jeez what a find!!
One of the finest live performances that I have seen! I hope they play live in the US here soon.
I bloody love Squeeze!!!!!!
Yes wow. fantastic band👌 x
It’s been 40 years since I saw them. Going to see them tomorrow night in Pasadena. Sooooooooo excited!
Intresting set list. F-Hole is one of the last things I would have expected.
Larry does rule, this show was captured perfectly thank you
Still got it 👍🏻 👌🏻
One Word ............... Awesome 🙌
I am one of your Japanese fans.
One of the greatest British bands ever. Period.

Amazing Mumbo Jumbo!
Amazing band

So good… so tight…. Fantastic!!!!
AWESOME!! Thanks for posting the video of the show - and with timestamps, too!
Still got it 🤘🤘
So gawd damn TIGHT

I'm having some BLACK COFFEE IN BED as I watch this fantastic performance !

Never get tired of them never
Tilbrook is a playing a B-bender on that Telecaster. Amazing.
Ps. Whoops and we love Chris Difford in his bowler
Fantastic still
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for reposting this amazing show! Sorry you lost the other acct.
I will rebuild, as always.
This is great! Saw them live about 20 years ago. Great audio! Did you have a direct line out from the board? I noticed some separation.
Has to be from the board. Great quality!
they still sound great
It is absolutely stupid that a band can sound this amazing live.
Amazing
Great video . Saw them last week in Blackburn, Lancashire . Still got it but they didnt do F Hole (my fav)
Like an extremely fine wine Squeeze only gets better with age.And you know it too.
Yay they spund good hopefully they do something around here
Argy-Bargy's "I think I'm go go"
Wow. Takes me back
However. no "Another Nail In The Heart"
Is Criminal
Surprised at that as well. What a great set.
I'm crying
This song is the answer to the Beatles song "And your birds can sing".
Damn, this music easily stands the test of time.
Sublime music.
Sorry not scrolled thorough the comments ..but who is the BASS Player ??
They didn't play their most enduring hit (by UA-cam views): "Another Nail in My Heart"! I wonder why...Surely Glenn can still handle the solo, even at 64?
He can indeed still play the solo. I just saw him perform it 3 weeks ago.
I love squeeze!!

No Glenn’s voice still sounds great. I did notice though though Chris’s voice not so much, but strained.

I lived in that bedsit too 😂
Glens Tele with a B Bender , awesome
Bernardo Silva on bass ! 😬
Never knew Randy Quaid sung and play guitar
Is that Sean Hurley on bass?
Yes
I can't believe they forget "Another nail in my heart" a very best....
The Squeeze actually are touring a thank whoever deleted my comment for using an inappropriate term you don't have to print this
61 years old and begging's still not my business
Didn't play Another Nail in My Heart. That's criminal.
Why didn't list the song "Heaven knows" it's not part of they're album??
Wot no “ This Summer “ ?
Until recently, I thought that Squeeze was a one-hit-wonder. Tempted is the only song of theirs that I heard on the radio. Why is that?
holy cows move over rolling stones. I'm so retarded they do tour
47:20 Yo bailo igual que Stephen pero sin acordeón. XD
Writes song with one of the best bass lines ever-decides to do it without bass
Let her have her soldier. She will still be miserable. Viva La Squeeze.
i wish PAUL CARRACK was part of this line up, but he is busy with CLAPTON
Alas that drummer is no Gilson Lavis, is he.
Who is?
Shame the drummer can't seem to replicate the lovely fills on Up The Junction.
has he just got out of bed ? he left his pjs on
