The Pixel 2 XL is the phone that started it all for me and i'm so happy to have it as part of my collection.
I thought i'd take this phone out in 2024 to see how it holds up today.
I love talking all things google pixel so if you want more pixel goodness then sub to the channel. - Наука та технологія
they should re release these phones with the latest software like how iphone did it with their se series
that would be cool, i'd settle for a case that looked like this phone.
I still use my Pixel 2 XL to this day as my main phone. I bought my Pixel 2 XL back in 2021 for $99 (reconditioned). It has held up very well over the years and got my money's worth. It has made me a fan of the Pixel phones as the gold standard of the android phones. The good, it's fast even for it's age and the camera is great. The bad, I did get a burn in issue on the screen and due to it's old age some apps offered in the play store are no longer compatible with it (Had to find a older version of the app to get it to run). I'll use it till it dies on me and then get another Pixel phone.
I’ve just ordered the fabric case for my pixel 2xl and I can’t wait for it to arrive!
This was my dream phone before, and now I have the Pixel 6A. I am happy that I am still wanting the Pixel phones, tho it take me some time to save to buy the one I can afford :)
Yeah thats why its nice to look back at some of these old phones, much more affordable.

The fact that this 2017 flagship phones is still better than budget phones within 200$ segment is crazy, it's been like 7 years
The power of the pixel! And the design still holds up well too.
Maybe it's just me, but the latter Nexus phones (please don't flame me with bootloop reminders 😎) and early Pixel phones seemed more playful than phones today.
A time when Google weren't afraid to try all kinds of things (again, please no comments about the temperature sensor on the 8 pro, no idea about that 😂)
Maybe I'm just being nostalgic but I found those era of devices a lot of fun.

HTC worked on the 2 and originally the 2Xl but Google abandoned the HTC design for the 2XL and tapped LG to do it. So it technically was 2 different phones. The original 2Xl is the HTC U11.
It worked out pretty well… well if you got the XL you definitely got the nicer phone.
I use it with Visible and still runs awesome!!

One question, if you purchase an older android phone in which the life cycle for OS and Security updates has already ended will the phone automatically update to the latest OS and security update that is available for the phone?
Good question, when I've been collecting these phones they were already set to the latest software update they could have. But if they are not it's easy to update them. Just go to Settings, System the Software Updates.

I like/prefer Android phones and tablets designed from 2008-2020 with the Android OS 2008-2020, even my phone is Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 and my tablet is a Galaxy Tab S7 FE, I would like to restore a Samsung Galaxy S9+ that had a broken LCD screen that my dad had.
i just went from a 2xl to a 6pro, and the 6pro sucks. im gonna retun it and go back to my 2xl
I’ve never tried the 6 pro but the 2XL is such a special phone. Maybe try the 4XL

Still deciding but my 3a has been great and I have to get my mother off my 3A and 2.5gb ram on her dinosaur.
the bezels were incredible wdym
I can live with the ones on the 2XL, the regular Pixel 2 bezels were HUGE

I love the 4 XL, I used it so much last year.
Not worth using as main phone... serious boot loop issues. Will randomly get stuck in a loop with no way to fix it.
