I have the uniden sds-100e,And the 3600xlt,Both great scanners,I have both of them fitted with Watson W-901 Airband aerials,I get all my military aircraft frequencies from RRUK (Radio Reference UK),I like the custom coloured screen on the 100e,Great review.I can pick Lakenheath up quite clearly,I live in The Wash Military Tactical Training Area,U see Typhoons from Coningsby,USAF F-35A’s and F-15E’s dogfighting above here on weekdays,Very loud but great to watch.
I have both scanners. Much prefer the SDS100, the display is much easier to read. Really like the ability to charge it while scanning. To my ear the 100 has a bit better audio.
I have 2 x Bearcat 125xlt,I liked it that much,if you like military aircraft frequencies it doesn’t take long to fill 500 channels,I got a uniden Ezi-33 that I don’t use,and a whistler w1010 too,But my favourites are my Uniden sds-100e and Bearcat 3600xlt,These are great scanners,But I have one of my 125xlt in the kitchen all the time with a Watson w-901 fitted,Very clear coms of Typhoons,USAF F-15E’s and F-35A’s as early as 8am some mornings.
Bcd436hp/3600xlt all the way. It's slimmer and takes AA batteries if there ever were to be a disaster it could still work. Once the sds 100 battery is dead that's it unless you have multiple 70$ batteries. The sds100 battery clip also breaks very easily.
It will definitely do air band. But it is designed more for digital systems and a such operates better with them. An analog scanner would be the best option if you only want to monitor airband. I'd say the 125at or sr30c would be a good choice, or their equal European versions.

Yes agree with your points.
is this 3600 good for airband or 125?

Good job -I'm 😊 happy
I'm glad
What antenna do people use? As I’ve heard the stock antenna for sds 100 is not that good
So many available - Ask at ham radio shop get some good tips
Watson make some good antennas
So one quick question.. Wife lost my sds 100 is there anyways I can track it via gps?
Sorry no
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones really absolutely no way to ??
