    Awesome video. This was very helpful. I'll be installing a 94sv on my kayak soon. I'm going to try to make so I can easily move it from my kayak to my boat. It should be a fun project.

      Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you'll be on the ocean a lot, you'll probably need 93sv instead?

    Not sure if you're still answering comments on this video but thought I'd ask anyways. Is the GLS10 required to run the LVS32 with a 8412xsv or 8416xsv? Someone told me it wasn't while places I've read says it is. Just wanted some clarification. Thanks.

    Hello there. I just purchased, and am getting ready to install a 126sv and LiveScope LVS32 setup for a bass boat. I really wish Garmin would consider this suggestion. Due to the possible damage and delicacy of the transducer cable, build the LVS32 transducer with a very short cable and connection with a true waterproof connection, and then a replaceable cable. Then if the cable becomes damaged it could be easily replaced without full transducer replacement. Thanks

    Good video other than the confusion of installing the transducer. The image showing the orientation of the transducer mounted to the shaft of the trolling motor is not correct. #1 and #2 is the transducer is on the port side of the trolling motor, #3 and #4 is on the starboard side. Mike F called them out on this a year ago. Find his comment below.

    Is there any installable pole other than the trolling motor? If you have an excel trolling motor holding you in place it’s going to be moving constantly. After reading reviews and going out with a guide on a boat he had an independent pole made for his transducer which he could turn 180 degrees or more? Any advice

    • @GarminInt

      Hi Thomas, we don't make a pole. It would need to be a third party purchase or custom-made. -MR

    Is it ok to run power straight from a battery to the black box and head unit, or do I need a fuse? The battery is going to be used just for live scope, nothing else will be powered by it this battery.

    • @GarminInt
      @GarminInt  4 роки тому

      Yes, our units come with an inline fuse. We recommend running the power directly to the battery.
      -MR

    • @Cerus98
      @Cerus98 4 роки тому +2

      Always use a fuse. It doesn’t matter if it’s the only thing on the battery or not. If it’s connected to a battery it needs a fuse unless you want to risk frying your gear. It’s a $5 investment for an in line blade fuse and holder to protect thousands in equipment.

    • @GarminInt

      Hi Justin, thanks for reaching out! The wire gauge needed would depend on how long the extension would need to be. It is a 20 gauge wire and typically, it is one size larger for every ten feet to minimize amperage loss. -MR

      I have this question also. My Motor Guide Xi5 trolling motor propeller is toward the stern of the boat in normal forward running position, and the trolling motor is mounted on the port side of the boat. When my trolling motor is deployed and in the forward run position (i.e. straight ahead) my LiveScope LVS32 transducer is on the port side of the trolling motor shaft, i.e. outboard of the trolling motor shaft. This is image 1 and 2 in the "Installation" image at 14:30 minutes. Please clarify.
