I picked up the same 93sv and Panoptix on a black Friday sale. I'll be doing my install this weekend. I restored an 89 Alumacraft Lunker to get my 90 yr old step dad out fishing and I'm hoping this helps get us on some fish. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial on installing the LVS-32 Livescope. I just purchased the Black Friday Sales and got the LVS-32 under a $1,000 and 2 - Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv under a $1,000 each and now I am ready for LIVESCOPE. I just installed it. I know is old technology but for me is excellent since I am a crappie fisherman and at 25 feet or less both the LVS34 and LVS32 are on par with each other. Thank you again. BTW, I loved your double console graph board construct. That was a brilliant idea.
I'm a retired electrical engineer and instrumentation mechanic, Do not ground the wire if you are experiencing noise or interference. leave the other end open, if you ground it, it will act as an antenna. I have fixed a lot of noise issues by disconnecting the ground in the control room.
@@lonniehall9006 There a shielded cable with a ground going through it when grounding xducer and/ or computer unit don't ground them both as it makes an antenna which will interfere with the unit and be displayed as noise. I had a ground with mine.
2 questions. So I have the Terrova and just got the LVS34 with the 93Sv and I don’t have to buy the cornfield mount? I can just put it on the side like you did? Also I bought the bundle so did the fish finder come with a transducer if it’s own that it runs off of when livescope isn’t on? Or does the livescope transducer run everything such as side imagining?
Really good video but I'm curious with leaving that black box out in the open is that box completely waterproof if you get caught on a lake in a downpour thanks
So If I get the 93sv and the Panoptix/Livescope is there any other kits or anything I need? Other then wire and battery which I have. (on a 120 PDL kayak)
@@251reeling9 I have the perspective mount. Will it work mounted to the shaft with it? I'm scared to death of mounting it on the barrel...I'm very accident prone & would be pretty upset if I'd hit bottom
Stupid question but does the black box power your graph, or did I miss you running the power wires for it? (it may have already been wired, sorry for the silly question)
So glad you had that trolling motor haha I’ve got a minn Kota powerdrive I pilot and was going to get livescope but didn’t know if I could mount it to my trolling motor or if I had to get a pole which I didn’t want. How good does that set up do? I’m looking at doing the same thing
I got a minn kota ultrex. the sharp point of my boat was dangerous for my high school anglers to deploy the xi5 there was nowhere for them to stand, one almost fell in.
Ok good to know. I just installed my LSV34 and it never mentioned that but it might be a little different than your 32. I will work anyway you mount it, but that’s the direction it will look.

I powered my live scope with a separate dedicated 12v 30ah lithium. It runs it all day no problem.
Thanks for the information on the 45 cable!
Goat in the back ground for the win
they get me everytime
I'm trying to figure out a way to do this for my jon boat for the spring. Thanks for walking through it.
Glad to help, i know its great for bass and crappie.
Check out Dude let’s fish he has one on his John boat
Good stuff man. It’s crazy how far technology has come nowadays to the marine industry. That live scope is definitely a game changer
Yeah i know ive been kinda putting it off but tournament fishing you kinda have to have one.
Enjoyed the video Paul. Can you install the black box in the back of the boat and run your transducer wires to the front?

Good video Pauly D

Good video despite the ANNOYING techno background music
I just sold my Xi5 bc I was too nervous mounting Livescope to it. You should make a video title How To Mount Transducers and Panoptix to Xi5 Xi3
With these types of trolling motors im scared of clipping or cutting the transducer wires, i put an ultrex on my boat the other day
@@251reeling9 Yessir never want to cut transducer wires... I do boat install for a living... Good job on the install
Are extetions required ? Can you not hook directly to battery?
Where did you mount the Cable after you put the air hose on
Thanks for the video and the tips!
your welcome sir
Did you say the gls10 power wire had #8 ga from that unit... thanks
Really good video but I'm curious with leaving that black box out in the open is that box completely waterproof if you get caught on a lake in a downpour thanks
ive had it in the worst storms and it still worked fine due to the o rings around the connections
nice boat
stupid question: does the black box power the graph, or does that need its own dedicated power?
Thank you for the video. 👍 😃
No problem 👍
So If I get the 93sv and the Panoptix/Livescope is there any other kits or anything I need? Other then wire and battery which I have. (on a 120 PDL kayak)
Yes that 👏 is it
Can you use side imaging on the front unit.locate fish and switch to panoptix?
Yes you can I have a bottom and side scan transducer along with the panoptix transducer
Great information.
Glad it was helpful!
Any problems since you made the video? I just bought the Xi-5 & wasn't thinking that I will have to mount the transducer on the barrel.
I bought the perspective mode and mounted it up the shaft
But it worked fine on the bottom

I had the graph already wired the garmin uhd9
@@251reeling9 cool thanks
Did you run into any issues mounting your black box on the deck? I see most people mounting them inside a compartment.
No it works fine
how hard was the power cable to run with the snake, how long?
Not hard I have a 25 ft snake
Some great information my friend 👍
Thanks 👍John i appreciate the visit.
Where did ya get that mount for the head unit?
a bud do you have to run a shut off switch. For your power I have seen in some videos. good video tho
i unplug the power to the gls 10 when not in use
Good install vid, but the added background noise makes it hard get through. Very annoying.

it works you have to be careful of how you deploy your motor or you will snip the transducer cables on these electric steer motors.
@@251reeling9 yea that’s what I was worried about and the spot lock. Heck I’ll figure something out haha
Precision sonar has a setup that you can mount to the power drive trolling motors it keeps the wires out of the way
Best to run units with dewalt 20 volt, and 18 volt Milwaukee batteries. Your transducer is on backwards .
you can mount it 4 ways, now its on the shaft any way.
@@251reeling9 the cable has to be at the back, before it reads forward, you will see fish that is behind you the way it is..
It can be mounted on port and starboard side. The way it is mounted here is forward. You can turn it around on the other side.
@@251reeling9 why is it on the shaft now? What caused you to change it?
I got a minn kota ultrex. the sharp point of my boat was dangerous for my high school anglers to deploy the xi5 there was nowhere for them to stand, one almost fell in.
Do you have another transducer on bottom of trolling motor
Yes the gt 54
@@251reeling9 Appreciate it. Mine be here tomorrow and have a Hummingbird transducer on bottom of barrel. Making sure they both will fit
You have your transducer on backwards. The wire goes rearward.
It depends on if you mount it port or starboard
It reads both ways

Really wanted to watch but the background music was driving me nuts.
People talk too much in the music in the background is unnecessary
Well ,, I watched all 8 min about heat shrinking ;-(
i went on too long with the heat shrinking
