It is an interesting expansion which changes up the beginning of the game in an interesting and fun way. I worry that a few bad die rolls might make it a real tough uphill battle (especially for the US), but, all things being equal, it's a great idea.
Thanks for the video. I'm about getting this game. My concerns are the AI difficulty (they said is very stupid) and there are a lot of bugs commented in Steam forums about the base game and the DLC, for instance the issue about overlapping music tracks when Defcon level changes. Despite all theses issues, is it still a good game to play?
Yes, I think it's fine. While the AI isn't brilliant, I think it's a decent opponent when you're learning. I think a lot of the bugs have been worked out - how old are the comments you've been reading on the forums? When you feel you are ready, it's very easy to find real live opponents to go up against online.
@@LegendaryTactics The comments I saw on Steam forums talked about bugs that I think from what I read they're still not fixed. For example there's a guide that list bugs and workaround for them when possible (updated to last January): steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=817482888 Then in this thread they mentioned bugs that I'm not sure they're fixed or not, where it also mentions the issue for the sound I talked before when Defcon changes (I can't heard it in your video if the issue is present or you used the track from the base game): steamcommunity.com/app/406290/discussions/0/1733214357978032015/?ctp=4 There are other examples of bugs where nobody from developer's team answered, for example this reported this year: steamcommunity.com/app/406290/discussions/0/3104638448265144911/, or comments from one of the latest patches: steamcommunity.com/app/406290/discussions/0/2942494909181195320/ I have the digital version of Through the Ages, and I expect with Twilight Struggle the same support as that game has. I don't want to think that this game (one of the best games of all time) has been abandoned to work with other projects like Labyrinth: The War on Terror.
Interesting to see a variation to starting conditions - I've never played with Turn 0...

@@LegendaryTactics Agreed, looks pretty interesting in a way it can produce the odd results😁
Very Cool, and Thank You.
It's a neat variant. Thanks for watching!

Why didn't you do the East Europe Unrest-Star Wars double whammy ? It might have seriously destroyed his position (I mean, more than it already was).
We should do a crossover game of this on our channels.
That could be neat! Email us and we'll figure something out
@@LegendaryTactics I’m trying to remember if I have your e-mail, I can message you on discord.
Glad you did this. Thanks.
