advanced cooling system in the middle of a desert... What a coincidence. Me: goes to the desert. Also me: sees ice in the desert Also also me: how convenient.
For a long time, I had trouble understanding the motive behind the betrayal, but apparently this is a prequel to other Homeworld games (I genuinely never knew that)- and the betrayal is explained in the original's manual by lore about religion...
The Homeworld games have always been quite vague and mysterious in its storyline. It's actually quite interesting how the developers managed to create such a memorable storyline without much detail in the story; in the other Homeworld games the only name you know is Karan S'jet. Other than that they manage to create a storyline with the entire Kushan race as a single character, which is pretty innovational in my opinion. As for the betrayal, the fact that the people living on Kharak think this object holds some sort of god given power (it is indeed a powerful object) is reason enough for the betrayal. Kharak is separated by tribes, and this is tribe politics at work. One tribe wants to be superior to all the others.
ikr, but it still missing physics, collisions, explosion damages, parabolas. but overall its a decent game. would love if they make new one with better physics and collisions. where vehicles bumps into each other and explosions can hurt your ally or the roads makes bump or bits of fragments. and fragments of exploding unit whether enemy or ally should damage near ally or enemy. its just what an oldman like me wished when i was a kid for a game to exist like that.
i wish they added colissions here where those lil vehicles bumps to their ally or enemy. and i wish they've added physics when something is exploding. i mean thats what a kid wished for its like watching they fight in their own will. the bits of the fragments of exploding vehicle should damage some near unit either ally or enemy. thats $$$$ selling game for you. i mean its a war game. any environment should damages you even your ally. thats just the game that really challenges you and thats what we call strategy.
Can I point out something very wrong here, Raptor now needs to reinforce while in the last fight, he left with 142 out of 170 units, units he needed alive before this finally battle, after all is said and done, he wont have many troops left at the end, seriously, really.
It depends, you can just turtle up, with your cruisers around your carrier and bulding turrets with your base runners and then kill the galsieen flag ship spamming it with the cruise missile, the orbital weapon and fighters harasing it to keep its health from regenerating.
It isn't Earth., it's a planet is called Kharak and the people living on it eventually refer to themselves collectively as the Kushan. The 'humans' in this series aren't originally from Earth, in a similar way that the humans from Star Wars universe aren't. Instead, they're refugee's and exiles from a planet called Hiigara and the overall story of Deserts of Kharak, Homeworld 1 and 2 is the story of the Kushan discovering their ancient origins, travelling across the galaxy to reclaim their homeworld Hiigara and rising to become a dominant power in their galaxy.
You already uploaded a video of this back in 2016.. Why make two videos of the same thing? Is this a second replay of the game? I bet you don't even read the comments on these older videos. even if it was just a year ago.

Man, whoever came up with the concept of this game is a genius. A fully functioning desert navy is an awesome concept.
