I totally share that feeling with you. Most college kids playing this and think that a time to put in is equivalent to the time we watch a game. But to actually play this, it takes way more than 1 game or 1 tutorial to master it.

This game has create a lot of memories for me and all of us watching. I love the whole series. Used to play it everyday after coming from school. Age of empires was introduced to me by my cousin sister, since then I fell in love with the game and was addicted to it. But by 2017 , I stopped playing this game cause I was in 10th grade and at that time was also weak in studies so had to pass out anyway. But now just 3 months ago, I downloaded the game and played it. It brought my childhood and high school memories back. Thanks to the developers of age of empires series for giving us such a wonderful game. Will never forget this series especially, and would recommend it to my friends, cousins and to my future generations as well

If you bind your infantry-buildings to hotkeys, you dont have to click on them every single time and you can also recruit units, if you are doing other things on the map.
@@LeoXplores basically we can bind anything in this game with some hotkeys (ctrl+1,2,3,4,5,6). And not just building or troop, we can bind multiple of them. I generally bind my troops with keys 5 and 6 which I rarely use. My main bindings are stable, barracks and archery. This makes me quickly create new troops and change the spawn area without actually moving from the conflict area. It's pretty time consuming and not efficient initially but once you master the muscle memory, all you need to focus is on strategy only.
He did real good. He just needed to create his barracks and archery ranges a shortcut so he doesn’t have to move across the map, he can just select them from the assigned number. Was very late on the wood. The hurt his production. He rocked it though.
i love the documentary a lot, i actually made this game more "fulfilling" and a sense of accomplishment! Every campaign victor results in learning something new and cool
you got lucky your opponent gave no pressure till imperial, also as french you want to take sacred sites so you get plenty of gold for your elite units
this game has Relic written all over it, they are known to have made games like WH40k Dawn of War, and the Company of Heroes series. Everytime there is a battle in-game, you can hear various battle cries and vocal indicators from your forces. This seems to be a theme for Relic RTS games.

That's Aoe for u lol. I enjoyed Aoe for a long time But once i played total war , I found that "intense battles" were more fun for me . Rather than just RCLK atking every second, Formations and tactics were more important & fun. Now, i can't return to aoe.

This game basic mechanics and ai haven't change a one bit in 22 years. Its good for nostalgia i must admit. Some sounds effects even are still here. Graphics-visuals advancing that's all.
I think this is fine, but definitely lost great essence. In other games, buttons used to have old images (like windmills and houses), and the taskbars had a pretty design (if HRE = something making reference to it).

The Rus player is clearly new and dont know anything about the game otherwise there is NO way you could of won and its that simple. You did nothing but sit on your own island for like 20mins if the Rus player had not been so new he would of taken the other 2 islands and just walked all over you.

As an AOE long-time player of the old games, Red did not play this very well and even Blue thought you could have ventured out a bit early with some secret Military buildings. Do the French still have instant build as an upgrade?
Using scout to steal sheep is a boss move. But I think if you plan to play the long game, it would be best to dedicate your first villagers to lumber, build a dock then let the fishing boat collect food. Nice game still...
Got to love how they keep trying to make AOE sequals over and over but they all fail because nobody stops playing AOE2. At some point you would think they would be smart and learn to just focus all their attention on improving and expanding that game.
Bro does it kill you to make siege weapons? Your economy is so much ahead, if you actually make some useful siege weapons this game could’ve ended at minute 20

They did a bit. They remastered it in a higher resolution and gave it like 5 expansions a while ago.
Discovering cheatcodes for this game ruined its real fun for me😂😂 but was necessary for hard missions !
