Really out of curiosity, how tough is TUV there, really? I'm asking because I see lots of modified german cars, but I also see a lot of people complaining about mods being illegal there
Bruno Simões there are 2 reasons for that. 1. people just dont give a fuck. So they mod it illegally and either get lucky or pay the fine. 2. you can mod cars legally, its just that every single part you want to fit needs to be approved. Most technical (coilovers, wheels, engine tunes) or visual stuff from bigger brands has that approval already if it fits the legal criteria, for other parts you can arrange the testing yourself but need to pay for it. And some of them simply wont ever be approved like blow off valves, most exhaust systems or anything else thats emission/noise related. Also for most technical parts you will need to let them inspect it, even if the part itself is checked and legal already, they want to check if its mounted properly and according to regulations.
Same here in Norway 🙈 You need to get it inspected at the dmv even with just lowering springs, and you can forget having it approved if the springs doesn't come with a tüv certificate 🙈

Baerzilla great here in the UK, you just slap on any old mods and as long as it passes the annual MOT check which everything you buy does you can do what you want. Emissions are the only real issue but you just need a sport cat or know a guy that’ll take £20 under the table...

@@LiamHutchinson666 Meh, you don't know if it has coils, shit the springs could be cut. Wheels? Come on now. they MAY be lighter but still negligible. The stock air box actually keeps the air colder and is better on a stock motor so that's not a mod. You boys must be new to the scene because this car is not really "modified".

I usually never comment on UA-cam, but guys, seriously. I am following your Channel since years, and it brought so much joy over the time, i just want to thank you! I also owned a CA18DET S13 200SX (Germany, don't ask why there is a 200 in the Name when it never was a 2 liter car here....) and loved it to bits. Unfortunately i was young, didn't have much money, and the car was basically for the scrapper (which i ofc didn't know when i bought it), but still, i love these things to bits, and i am happy to see one in this condition (err... you know what i mean :P ) and Moogs happy face with it. I can relate!.

Loving all the Nissan cars lately. I have owned a 1979 Datsun 280Z, 1985 Nissan 300ZX and a 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. All stock except for tires. Really takes me back to a great time in my early adulthood. Thanks for stirring the old memories!
