This guy gets beaten by an opponent who changes tactics more often thaan he does (look at how late he's building adepts) and calls him brainless. Brainless would be no proxy, no mine drop, no nuke, just straight bio-tank until someone is dead. Also: "They can turtle on 2 bases and nuke the opponent all day." Translation: "The last time I attacked my enemy they were on 2 bases. Usually people learn 1-2 cheeses that carry them like 1k MMR above where they should be. Like people who have no business playing the game past the 5 minute mark and have no idea what to do in a macro game / late game because usually people leave right after their cheese Especially NA server
Well it really depends, sometimes players play much better or worse. I rarely play from a position like this and was unsure what to do for the most part. I nearly won an Amateur League SC2 diamond league tournament recently. In platinum league, many players excel at one thing but are very bad at everything else.

Nuke after nuke after nuke, senseless carpet bombing the enemy position. I believe this is what cool kids nowdays call banger of the game! I believe it is the best game of sc2 that I have seen in my entire life. For a moment I thought this game was set up by 2 friends just for puropse of iodis video. But after some analysiss, this game is peak perfection on so many levels that you cant set it up on puropse. If I tried really hard, it would take me tens of hours to create a scenario for such a beautiful game.
Losing to the first mine drop and then playing for another 10 minutes; an absolute classic. Mine drops are actually super busted at this level though. You aren't paying attention for 5 seconds and lose 15 workers. It happens so fast that you think you still have a chance.

It counters all forms of Starport harass, early pressure builds, and gives map presence with the option of agression. The cheese in this match was the proxy rax, then it was over. I wanna see Harstem playing lower level players where Harstem controls the keyboard and a noob controls them mouse (maybe a fan controlling it remotely?). Harstem is not allowed to use camera hotkeys. How high can he get in the ladder?
That's the thing with games that require individual skill... You can't blame your teammates and God forbid that you would look at yourself and for ways to improve. All that's left is blaming the game. So many ways to make yourself feel better about your non existent skills and your high time - low mental commitment. - blame server lag - blame the balance - blame hackers - if you feel that the opponent is actually better blame it on him having no life So many options.
I've played like the terran sometimes, trying to emulate grandmasters doing stupid stuff, and it.. kinda works more than not. Making the enemy scared at where a nuke might be landing when you're nuking nothing at all and just want the sound to be played to the enemy is a fairly decent strategy at getting your opponent to waste APM trying to deal with something that isnt an issue. Because it's completely correct: why would you nuke an area that has nothing? This makes the enemy player second guess whether they're just not seeing where the nuke is getting dropped. Obviously I can't pull off grandmaster-level moves but I can see advantages more times than not trying to use that strategy
I came in ready to have some sympathy. I'm about 100 mmr lower than these guys, I'm smacking the Tosses, and I'm dying to Terrans. I was ready to back him, but I don't think I've ever boxed 20 drones and thrown them at a nuke.

Only thing you have unfortuantely got wrong here harstem, is that this individual 'sucking' and terran being genuinely 'op' are not mutually exclusive. They can, and are, in fact both true. I recommend an addition of a third catagory. "Terran is in fact imba and you also suck" 3 Catagories: 1. "You Suck" 2."_ is IMBA" 3. "Terran actually is imba, but you also do suck. But its also pretty reasonable to be upset because terran is pretty silly" Happy to join the team for further helpful advice. Stay safe out there x
Terran can play like 1/4th as good and still win. Sometimes all they need is one mining base to equal like 4 base income because of orbital farm mule spam. It's disgusting really. That said I feel like this Protoss didn't play too well. He looked very thrown off after the initial proxy rax

Honestly Ignatavicius looks like a trolling freeloosing smurf, im curious if his history isnt full of 0:00 defeats. Requiem plays like plat, Ignatavicious plays significantly better, and got typical troll builds.

Guys, hear me out... This is going to sound like a conspiracy theory.. Harstem thinks everyone sucks. He must think the game is perfectly balanced.. what a joke. Clearly all these complaints are true and actually everything is imba.

Only thing you have unfortuantely got wrong here harstem, is that this individual 'sucking' and terran being genuinely 'op' are not mutually exclusive. They can, and are, in fact both true. I recommend an addition of a third catagory. "Terran is in fact imba and you also suck"
3 Catagories:
1. "You Suck"
2."_ is IMBA"
3. "Terran actually is imba, but you also do suck. But its also pretty reasonable to be upset because terran is pretty silly"

Some very basic gameiknowledge would have easily won this game despite the terran being mechanically way better. So how exactly would that be imba?

I'm stamping this one imba. by the widow mine drops. Harstem even admits it by saying "if you on even bases as terran, you're losing"
yeah the terran plays way worse than the protoss.
Terran can play like 1/4th as good and still win. Sometimes all they need is one mining base to equal like 4 base income because of orbital farm mule spam. It's disgusting really.
That said I feel like this Protoss didn't play too well. He looked very thrown off after the initial proxy rax
@@chloesmith4065 yeah mules need a range limitation and probably a cooldown. Announcing SC2 games is basically coming up with a bunch of different ways to say Terran IMBA while being subtle.

There are hidden rules on the American server - you have to use nukes if you play terran, and as an opponent you're not allowed to look or react to it.

@@Aminmotors I feel like your rage should have been at yourself for somehow being even worse than whatever craziness I just witnessed from Terran... How either player is 'Platinum' I will never understand lol. Oh how the mid ranks have fallen since this game started. If he ever managed to get a single tank across the map instead of getting them stuck at his base you would have just disappeared .. I just don't know what I just watched lol. The only even 'remotely' above bronze thing you did was micro the first adepts away from the bunker.. (sort of =P) then proceeded to do every single thing as badly as humanly possible 🤣
@@MKu64 hahahaha, certainly not my best game. After the first few minutes I was too thrown off to play well, but I can assure you on better days I can nearly clean out diamond league tournaments. I think the issue here is a matter of an isolated incident rather than the norm.
I don’t think the Terran player usually plays like this either, after killing me with the widow mines I think he just wanted to have fun and bully a Protoss player lol.
@@Aminmotors The part about wiping out Diamonds I find hard to believe based on what I watched - maybe D3 on their bad day or something where they forget to alt-tab back to the game for 5 min 😂 But in terms of the panic / being thrown off, I can understand 😇 it happens
15:30 i think tou missed the best play ever seen in starcraft, while he in fact killed nothing and was aiming to nothing i think that that nuke was a prediction nuke for the army coming to kill his marines, infact if he started it 4 seconds earlier he would have killed the whole army of requiem
Maybe It was a zone control nuke to hold the army back? Lol
Well that stuff should basically never work unless you are stressing out the opponent so much that they won't look at the army since you can see the red dot.

Terran won with the playing like a campain ai strat, he more or less was mengsk sending out random kill squads and nuking like its scripted map event, love to see it
