Jasper Carrott's a lifelong Birmingham City fan. He used to do a routine about watching them play at home. "I turned to the bloke next to me and called out "Oi!"" I thought Charlton Athletic might make the list. The Valley is a huge stadium and used to have a capacity of over 60,000. In some parts of the country if one's team is having a nightmare season there are other teams to watch. Lancashire is one example. Has anyone ever met an MK Dons fan?
Hillsborough stadium in the city of Sheffield as a capacity of around 38:500k fans but because of health & safety issues because of 15/05/1989 & the Poor 97 Liverpool fans who lost their lives because of Southyorkshire Police & some of their own supporters in my opinion as I was there! For the last 4 seasons we’ve only been allowed to let 34.500k fans in to Hillsborough Stadium It’s the most expensive stadium for ticket prices with no PL in almost 24 seasons & 3 seasons in league one during that time & we still averaged over 27k fans last season & to say we was in the bottom 3 all season apart from the final 3 games Our chairman at SWFC as not run our club very well If Swfc was in the premier league they would be 39k fans their everyweek at Hillsborough
As a stoke fan , new vale would be on here 1 in 5,000 in the area follow them . Need a new ground a all seater 3k an it would be filled should they allow 1k away fans boost the numbers
You might already be on it, Ben, but video idea - with fixtures released today, compare each teams opening 5/10 games and rank who has it easy/hard, or maybe predict how the early table might shape up?
Stoke's home form has been so bad over the last couple of seasons that it's driven away a lot of fans, and the ground always looks half empty. Although, there were 28,000 there for the last game of the season. Big respect to Sunderland, though. To get regular attendances of over 40,000 is mindblowing, especially when you consider how poor the team has been over the past few seasons. Sheff. Wed is also very impressive.
for your next video you should talk about the opening championship fixtures

Interesting insight into how football is going. Ridiculous wages and transfer fees adding to that, what used to be working man's game is now a corporate meeting place. How many people can now afford the entrance cost. I no longer put money in the big clubs pockets. I go to my local team. A better game with not the gamesmanship of the so called professionals.
Interesting fact is my club has sold more season tickets this summer since our last season in the premier league 2010/11 despite relegation to league one
Well the attendances actually are higher than various other clubs in league 2, it’s just the fact it’s a massive stadium which is why it just looks empty
The common thread with all of these clubs is that they're in decline/ had a poor season or seasons...given a bit of success the crowds will come back and there is potential to fill them out. I can remember Burnley in their darkest days getting gates of just over 2,000 in Division 4. Wolves on their 1st to 4th Division slide dipped to 2,000 gates. Sheff Utd in Division 4 got 40% capacity-about 12,000. Wigan and MK are the only two likely to have spare seats even in the top two Divisions.
You're comparison is unbalanced since when were clubs in div 4 when it existed attendances all round were lower and capacities were higher since it was pre all seater stadiums.
I’m old enough to remember when Darlington built a stadium, which ended up bankrupting them
I've been 😂
MK Don's should Never be in the football league. Should of started in the lower leagues first .
and they should not be called dons the team should be called mk fc
100%! Can’t stand that club & everything they stand for

Once. It was exactly what you would expect
Hey Carrott! They ain't got no cowin' Bovril!
Fulham, more coms than real supporters. Plus every other person is a tourist. Total lack of atmosphere.
It's like COVID never ended at MK.
Disappointed the Blue Few didn't make it (Bristol Rovers)
I thought that stadium was 70% full
Most of those league 2 stadiums were 90%+ full when Wrexham went to town
Its as if big games lead to big attendances. 😮
i like that you do this every season Ben ten. 😮
Yea, i agree with you. Milton Keynes should go to non league and be relegated.😅
Sunderland should be on here for the last 15 minutes of games alone
"If you build it, they (sic) will come"...
Shut up, Kevin Costner, this is Milton Keynes 😑

The Venky's chased most of the Blackburn fans away 😂😅😊
Walsall suffers being close to West Brom, Wolves, Villa & Blues. The stadium is the right size for them, if they are succesful.
As a stoke fan , new vale would be on here

Surely sheff utds season tickets are 90percent under 11 tickets so they dont count
This probably sounded funnier in your head.
Tranmere rovers I was surprised, they used to have a large away following, L.U.F.C - MOD
Not much excuse for Doncaster, a city that's had a good season, despite the league, should be getting over 10k.
Well they started quite awfully tbh, it was only the end of the season which they had an incredible run and then attendances picked up after that
Sadly town full of full kit wearing Leeds fans.

Since you’ve done the most emptiest stadiums, why can’t you do the biggest attendances?
You also have to consider away following aswell, especially further down the pyramid

You should do this for the Hong Kong league or Chile premira division
Aidan Morris has signed for Middlesbrough on a 4 year contract

Finally percentages not attendances 👏
Which championship team has been to the most stadiums
Should have man city on this.
Last season the Etihad was almost 97 per cent full. The lack of atmosphere is a totally different story though.
Tell me you’re an uneducated idiot without telling me you are…
@@WhiteHartDanelike the wall of silence at WHL
Damn kinda a sad video but yea
I knew Milton Keynes Dons would top this list because of what he has said and the curse of Wimbledon, good friends!!!

@@twounreliables7338its like a 5k average ots not that high even for leauge two considering nottsnand bradford averging 11 to 15 thousand.
St Andrews !
Averaged over 21k in a stadium capacity of 29k. For a team that has struggled for 10 plus seasons
@@nkskro80 & for 20 plus more 🤷🏻♂️
You've got to take into account midweek games and rail strikes
Surprised Coventry ain’t in the top 10
Really??? Average attendance last season was nearly 25.5k, ground capacity 32k so that would make our ground on average nearly 80% full
Why ??? Maybe a few years ago not anymore
Why wasn't Sunderland in there, they've got 27 thousand empty seats, Sunderlands a massive club, are they F**K,, S.M.B.🖤🤍🖤🤍 WTL

I knew my Hometown team of Colchester United would be on this list.😂
