To those who don't know what "Més que un club" means, the FCBarcelona motto, it literally translates from Catalan to "More than a club". Far away from being just a catchy marketing phrase, it actually aims to describe how the club is not just a regular football club from a big European city, but a real sociocultural figure to the city of Barcelona and Catalonia. Barça has been an important entity that has defended culturally and even politically the region, and from time to time revamped Barcelona's image to the world. This, is a clear example about what differs between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Bernabeu is for sure the most impressive, big metal futuristic stadium every big team expects to have. New Camp Nou aims to be the most sustainable - city integrated - fan centered stadium as it can be, just to build what it's best for Barcelona, Catalonia, and their people.
@@FVK07 Bigger yes, not more money! Real was not allowed by the council to ad xtra capacity that they wanted, but still it will be an 84 mill stadium in the heart of Madrid, with a retractable pitch, no way the Nou camp will make more money! 👍🏼

It's difficult to compare the outside when one is going for a sleek, elegant facade and the other for a no facade outdoor meet up sort of area. Camp Nou feels more like a welcoming atmosphere and Bernabeu a modern more posh feel. Although the retractable pitch and 360 screen give bernabeu the edge. However, the rest of the Barca project was barely talked about and maybe that would change my mind. Who knows?
I wish the Nou Camp had a retractable roof considering how pedantic barca is about grass levels and how much a watery pitch affects their carpet football
Real Madrid stadium is such an iconic building taking into consideration that the planners concentrated on the business side whilst Barca's stadium is eco friendly taking into consideration the environment and the community. But I would go with Madrid's stunning architecture. Great design and workmanship.
Real Madrids stadium is actually closer to 2 billion dollars now, its at 1.928 billion dollars and they've already had to replace the pitch 6 times because the retractable pitch isnt working as planned and the grass isnt growing how its supposed to
Both are impressive stadiums but I think i like Camp Nou a bit more cuz its open & unique . I have been to many american & other country's stadiums that has same closed system like Barnabeu . That open roof system of camp nou is rare . Anyway both looks amazing & the atmosphere will be something else. ( Edit : What i meant by open roof is the design in which u have hangout roofs like shown in the animation. Where people can hangout in massive balconies that encircle whole stadium. Where u can stand & see whole City view. Although some Stadiums have this already but Camp Nuo is just bigger & more open than anything i have seen )
What’s wild is these are the two biggest clubs in Europe and the total spend is 2.5 billion. While in the US bottom tier nfl teams are spending 3-5 million on their stadiums. Interesting economics
Barcelona does NOT need a stadium with a retractable roof! The invigorating breeze from the Mediterranean sea takes care of FRESH air.But Real needs that since their city is in a "desert".
You don´t even know what you are talking about. Madrid has more green areas than any other cities in Europe, and a huge forest which extends until the mountain ranges just beginning in the outskirts
You can watch it for free on your mobile phone thanks to the Super League. Watching Real Madrid will be a luxury experience, today it costs €70 on average and tomorrow it may be €100. (50 in the worst seats)
Real Madrid spends 1.5 Billion to future plan stadium and profit weekly. Barcelona spends 1.5 billion to make stadium expierence better but not much use of stadium itself every week.... so they start selling old stadium grass. Who is in charge of Barca its like they have no vision and cant plan.
the thing is they're not planning on using the camp nou itself for concerts and weekly events .. there's the PALAU stadium which is designed specifically for such events.
Really love Spain. People , culture , Food , History, Clime , Language. incredible how many good things right , but with better Jobs opportunities it could become the best country in the world. Hala Madrid.
Camp Nou will be, by far, the biggest and most beautiful stadium. You can see it by taking a look at the new Cam Nou works. Its design has recently been awarded (IAA 2023). Bernabeu is still the same old 1947 stadium under a new and strange case (in Spain we call it the giant tuna can). Indeed, we can already see the new Bernabeu and is somehow disappointing for Real Madrid supporters, which as you can see at some comments, are in reality scared of what new Camp Nou could become 😊
The genius of Bernabeus renovation was that they started with the renovation during the pandemic and close the stadium of home matches for one or one and half seasons.
The big difference is that Barcelona's stadium is focused on obtaining match day revenues with the new Santiago Bernabeu will be producing money every day of the year.

Claptrap! 👍🏼
Exactly why Camp Nou is better bigger better looking more aura costs even more will make more money everything
@@FVK07 Bigger yes, not more money! Real was not allowed by the council to ad xtra capacity that they wanted, but still it will be an 84 mill stadium in the heart of Madrid, with a retractable pitch, no way the Nou camp will make more money! 👍🏼

They'll both be world class stadiums, simply stunning, but both are massive financial risks with such small increases in capacity x
Both are good, architecture aren't that easy, sb offer modernity camp nou offer sustainibility. SoFi offer both!
Very nice 🔥💯
Real madrid stadium looks like a spaceship landed on earth...futuristic design...For me the best. Camp nou is not bad...but it looks like they just renovated
From inside Bernabeu looks similar like before they just added the roof
@@AbdulAzis-nw3iq And what about the retractable grass?😂
@@azb85bza26 Bernabeu is not only for football..A pure football stadium doesn't need that type of facility..
@@AbdulAzis-nw3iqand the 360 scoreboard that is 11m wide! There is no stadium in Europe with rooftop not the scoreboard!

Who knows?
Tottenham had the first retractable pitch
Ohh... I thought it was Wembley.😮
See Veltins Arena for FC Schalke, or State Farm Stadium for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.
Yep 100% factually incorrect and Spurs was built in 2019....with a retractable pitch!!...
great video!! just a small correction, Camp Nou renovation will cost much more than $1BN.
could you send a source? When we researched, the entire campus was more than a billion but not the stadium itself
Wait? Doesn't hotspur pitch recline too?
I wish the Nou Camp had a retractable roof considering how pedantic barca is about grass levels and how much a watery pitch affects their carpet football
Dont think its worth the cost cuz Barcelona mostly has sunny weather..
@@Ajju-kg9wf i didn't know that. It makes sense
Cool. Now, do one on how a club sponsored essentially by a nation-state can't build their modern pitch: Why Can't PSG Get a New Stadium Done?
How is it unique it looks like a saudi league stadium
Open roof is rare? seriously? 99% of european football fields don't have closed roofs
@@alfrredd exactly most stadiums are open roofs
@@hussainbhikha2720 and Bernabeu can open its roof too
Rare??😂 Literally 99% of world stadiums are open.

Tottenham Hotspur stadium: am I a joke to you?
Or Ajax stadium, im sure there are even more
Was never a big fan of Socker but cool designs. Hopefully, the ticket prices won't be so high that the locals can afford to go see the games.
You can watch it for free on your mobile phone thanks to the Super League.
Watching Real Madrid will be a luxury experience, today it costs €70 on average and tomorrow it may be €100. (50 in the worst seats)
@@ja1212azthe super league is dead.
Does it clean itself and mop the floor as well? Has the looks...
Waba amabolo
the thing is they're not planning on using the camp nou itself for concerts and weekly events .. there's the PALAU stadium which is designed specifically for such events.
Different environment, different approach. Industrial city vs tourism city. Both of them made on point decision.
Really love Spain. People , culture , Food , History, Clime , Language. incredible how many good things right , but with better Jobs opportunities it could become the best country in the world. Hala Madrid.
When it will finally complete? What will its final seating capacity?
Camp Nou will be, by far, the biggest and most beautiful stadium. You can see it by taking a look at the new Cam Nou works. Its design has recently been awarded (IAA 2023). Bernabeu is still the same old 1947 stadium under a new and strange case (in Spain we call it the giant tuna can). Indeed, we can already see the new Bernabeu and is somehow disappointing for Real Madrid supporters, which as you can see at some comments, are in reality scared of what new Camp Nou could become 😊
Campnou is the biggest stadium but also the most UGLIEST Stadium 🏟 😂
Poor club and lot of the debt, oohh wait its not camp nou but spotify stadium😂😂
The genius of Bernabeus renovation was that they started with the renovation during the pandemic and close the stadium of home matches for one or one and half seasons.
Imagine selling grass for 16k💀
The big difference is that Barcelona's stadium is focused on obtaining match day revenues with the new Santiago Bernabeu will be producing money every day of the year.
The info is outdated a bit. Nou camp will not have a 360 screen nor will it have roof. Espai Barca is out of 5he project too.
Both stadiums looks absolutely amazing but to be fair tho, Camp Nou is one step ahead, it looks unreal 😍
finally can be in a beautiful stadium while watching the home team lose
Short term money and dedication to the fans- Barcelona wins
Long term money, versatility, and loud atmosphere - Madrid wins.
I wonder how "seamless" the seams in the split pitch will actually be and how they will affect players?
the biggest stadium is still in north korea
💀
Truth.
Facts!!
Bernabeu reminds me of the new tottenham stadium with the grass pitch in to a tunnel system
Spotifi camp nou cant compare to Santiago Bernabeu. We have seen so many stadiums similar to camp nou. We have never seen anything like Santiago Bernabeu
Didnt spurs have first retractable pitch?
It´s pretty obvious that Real Madrid's Stadium is WAY BETTER than the other one.
I love how barca’s stadium keeps the Heritage and culture
Both are amazing but i think the camp nou is better .
1:40 why do the spanish grounds from like 50 years ago go all the way round i mean compared to british stadiums which up until the 2000s were almost always 4 seperate stands?
just looks so much better is it something to do with the roofs as the spanish grounds often didnt have a roof?
God the grass wasn't sold because they are broke but as fan club relation. This agenda has to stop 😭
