I got my first motorcycle at 18 and it was a gsxr750, I rode street bikes for the next 12 years and looked down on all the Harley guys. Last year I impulsively bought a Harley and found myself riding it and enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would! This year I got to thinking, I’m married now and kids and honestly I just cannot ride a sport bike responsibly at all lol it just doesn’t let you do it, like you said man there’s just something about it. I kind of see it as I cheated injury and death for the last 13 years when many many people I know weren’t so fortunate.. so anyway I just felt it was time to hang up the sport bike hat and i sold my zx6r last week and now only have a Harley low rider s.. and you know what, I may not feel nearly as cool riding around, but I’m OK with that 😎. Insurance is a hell of a lot cheaper too! 😉
Might take my Yamaha xvs1300a motorbike 2006 for a ride. I'm 70 years old and still love my motorbike. Love riding. Still get a great feeling riding. I'm in Australia. Keep safe and keep riding.
I just follow your food steps. Started with Hayabusa, changed to VFR800 and now looking to buy Fat Boy. Speed and acceleration on the sport bikes are really addicted. To buy a cruse looks for me as the best option to still enjoy riding a bike. Thanks for this blog.
Welcome to the club! I was same way. However been on Harleys since 2011. My last bike before my first Harley was a heavily modified 2007 GSXR 1000. The sport bikes are a lot of fun! I found the Harleys are much more enjoyable.
Do not start your bike even for 15-20 minutes in the garage if you are just letting it idle, especially in the winter... If you have it on a tender this is pointless, and you are just introducing moisture into the oil.
Enjoy man I love the cruisers .. spot bikes are cool but by the time i get to the place i want to ride im already sore... i could ride a cruiser all day and not feel half as cramped/sore.. if there were no cars/speed limits owning a sport bike would be more fun for me but since thats not real and i dont live on a track im a stick with the cruiser 😂
I like my Buell Ulysses. And don't feel I need to go hard all the time. Daily driver. Up right riding position. I ride 2 tracks and dirt with it. And it handles so much better than a Harley. The wife has a sportster. I also have an old 360 enduro. It's been the older Harley riders messing with the new tech getting into accidents lately. Distracted motorcyclist. Adv dad on a Buell.

man I have really enjoyed it. They are a lot faster then you think you can get around over 100mph if you feel like it or not.
I've had a V65 Magna and Bandit 1200S and each were over 120 hp so trouble was 1/2 second away. Now I have a 1200 Sportster and a Triumph America.
thanx of the comment I really appreciate it
