Im not sure if it will help, but try to go into steam, and the game in the library and then options, then find "verify game files" Or sth similar, it checks if all the files are there and working correctly, if one or more are missing or not opening it will fix it. If that doesnt work you can try to see which files were modofied last and delete them, it might kill your saves, but bring back the playability
Your game can't launch anymore? If you are on Windows search "%appdata%" in Windows search to access the Roaming files, or Mac/Linux equivalent. Then find the folder called Spore and either delete or move that file elsewhere and try relaunching the game. This file holds all the saved games in the galaxy, so removing this file if it has been corrupted or something may help as Spore will regenerate this file as brand new once it launches again. This file is outside of Steam so maybe that's why a verify file check doesn't solve it. Let me know if that's the issue or it's something else :)

This should work for all cells. Any cell we load into the editor from the menu, Cheat Engine should allow it to be loaded into the start of Cell Stage :)
Did anyone have any luck entering Creature stage with hidden cell parts? I tried but first of all I had to edit some data with Cheat engine (same as final steps with 0, 32 and 1024) otherwise it didn't let me savey creature, but when I edited data and tried to save my game just crashed
Yeah sometimes the odd parts can cause crashes, for example using the Grox's cyborg parts in the editor, if you take off a cyborg part and put it back on the game will crash. I'm not sure about the hidden cell parts, I'll have to try a bit more with that since I didn't try going into Creature Stage for this video, but I'm surprised the game crashed for that. But needing to keep Cheat Engine open while in Creature Stage to keep allowing us to save with odd parts does make sense.
I just tried Advancing into Creature Stage with the hidden parts on and it worked for me. I was able to call a mate and load into the editor and mess with the hidden parts like normal without crashing like the Grox parts would have. Cheat Engine was still required to save the creature putting the value back to 0. Maybe it was an unlucky crash for your game? Maybe try it again and see if it works a second time :) What I did learn that I didn't know was the hidden parts sold for 0 DNA, I wasn't expecting that haha.
@@KinglyValence I tried doing the same thing later and it didn't crash. I guess sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, so its a good idea to save at the end of Cell stage. You'll have to find an address that prevents you from saving a creature everytime you restart the game though. Also creatures with hidden cell parts can't appear in the game, and the only way to edit them outside of gameplay is to open Creator and select them through Sporepedia. You can't select them from the main menu Sporepedia or even see their stats, just like Maxis-made cells.
No worries, I made a follow up video where I show how to set up Cheat Engine so we don't have to find the memory address every time here :) ua-cam.com/video/8La1mcMyGgc/v-deo.html I didn't know it when making this video, and it shows how to get a creature into Cell Stage!
For Casual runs I like to go Carnivore for the health bonus, Adaptable for the fast ship, Friendly for Gracious Greeter, and Economic for Spice production increase. I like these for the best benefits for long Space games. I'm not sure what Archetype that gives in Space but I'll do a Archetype change mission to either get Return Ticket, Cash Infusion, or Fanatical Uprising are my favorites :)
@@Felipe.limaofc In my casual runs I typically prefer to Ally the Grox so Return Ticket allows for moving between the Grox for Trade Routes and back home easily or if I want to do lots of exploring. Fanatical Frenzy and Cash Infusion are probably more useful but I like the fast travelling :)
@@KinglyValence Ah yes, interesting, but. How about going for Social in Creature Stage? Is the bonus actually good for increasing Spice production? Since it allows the cities to have more emphasis on factories rather than entertainment buildings
@@Felipe.limaofc Increased Spice production is from being Economic in Civ. Social Creature prevents revolts in space which I don't think actually occur. My goal for consequence traits from the first four stages is to set up the best Space game, since we can just get any archetype we want once in Space.
When loading Cheat Engine it requires first to connect to a program to start reading its memory addresses. Similar to your previous question, not sure what Cheat Engine "in" Spore means, Cheat Engine is just overlaid in the recording as a separate window capture.
Yep, I found out after making this video that this idea can basically be used in any Stage and any editor. I go into more detail in this video for example :) ua-cam.com/video/8La1mcMyGgc/v-deo.html
Hmm that makes me think, can you clear the game without a mouth (starting from the creature stage)? Iirc you can destroy eggs for dna, and you don't need to use mate call to mate And after that mouths shouldn't matter
I'll have to try that. I wonder if we can still eat eggs without a mouth. Something interesting about no mouth creatures is the game will always crash when trying to socialize with other creatures since our creature doesn't even have the ability to sing. This was known from the Bot parts expansion since some of the mouths didn't have sing.
Sorry for super late response lol, I tried eating an egg without a mouth and remembered this question, and turns out the creature will use Strike instead! So looks like Creature Stage can be possible to beat without a mouth as long as we have other attacking abilities. Interesting without Strike/other abilities also the creature can't destroy the egg, but at least the game doesn't crash!
@@toimine8930 That might make a good video to see how far we can get through the game without a mouth after cell stage by being careful. I also tried Tribal Stage without a mouth and we can't harvest any food because we don't have a diet, so we can't buy any equipment so that may make Tribal really hard but still technically possible.
I mean, it's not like everything cut from a game is caused by external meddling, it's pretty likely a stage was prototyped and cut internally for gameplay or technical reasons I'd say, stuff like this happens to most games
Are you not able to enter the hidden cell editor? Steam added a spot in the properties > general to add an advance launch option to add in the extra launch target command instead of needing to use a shortcut that may be easier, try it again that way :)

No worries, I made a follow up video where I show how to set up Cheat Engine so we don't have to find the memory address every time here :) ua-cam.com/video/8La1mcMyGgc/v-deo.html
I didn't know it when making this video, and it shows how to get a creature into Cell Stage!
(GUYS HES JUST EXTREMELY LUCKY :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: )
Yo, King, what is the most fun and/or OP archetype to go for? In your opinion
@@KinglyValence Carnivore + Adaptable + Friendly + Economic = Bard
Return ticket? Is it good? How do you get the most out of it's use?
HOW TO ENTER THE TCHEAT ENGINE IN SPORE
When loading Cheat Engine it requires first to connect to a program to start reading its memory addresses. Similar to your previous question, not sure what Cheat Engine "in" Spore means, Cheat Engine is just overlaid in the recording as a separate window capture.
@@KinglyValence Im not English but French is that the problem, but okay, thanks you.
can you do this with creature stage?
Yep, I found out after making this video that this idea can basically be used in any Stage and any editor. I go into more detail in this video for example :) ua-cam.com/video/8La1mcMyGgc/v-deo.html
@@KinglyValence But is it possible using a creature that has freedom used on it?
@@Tablax150 I believe so, I don't think I checked that specifically. I'll look into it!
@@KinglyValence ok
What be stage 3 though?
The renaming of the target doesn't work for me.
Send a screenshot and I can take a look :)
Do you know the editor value for flora?
Its 478071445 i found it using static addresses
ah yeas, Dangerosly Funny 2.0
spore with cheats is always fun
Where is stage 3?
Tribal
@@mrcatboyplayzno
0 is cell
1 is creature
2 is tribal
4 is civ
5 is space
It ain't the aquatic stage
I think it used to be the town/ city stage
COOL!
i dont want to bee annoying but, how do i get cheat engine (waiting for a response.)
Cheat Engine can be downloaded at www.cheatengine.org/
Hmm that makes me think, can you clear the game without a mouth (starting from the creature stage)? Iirc you can destroy eggs for dna, and you don't need to use mate call to mate
And after that mouths shouldn't matter
@@KinglyValence 🐈sup
what if the game crashes elsewhere though? maybe on the tribal stage, or maybe during the level up/evolution cutscenes?
@@toimine8930 That might make a good video to see how far we can get through the game without a mouth after cell stage by being careful.
I also tried Tribal Stage without a mouth and we can't harvest any food because we don't have a diet, so we can't buy any equipment so that may make Tribal really hard but still technically possible.
@@KinglyValence can you still get eggs from pets? let's say you smoothly reach tribal stage with a few allies
i need help
I wanted some one make a mod whit this
We’re we supposed to get AN EXTRA STAGE??? God damn it EA why couldn’t you let this game get a few more years of development
I mean, it's not like everything cut from a game is caused by external meddling, it's pretty likely a stage was prototyped and cut internally for gameplay or technical reasons I'd say, stuff like this happens to most games
I mean, you could use mods?
I (not to brag) do, and can get those parts.
what mod you use to get those parts?
.o .
U scammer!!!!! I can't get in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you not able to enter the hidden cell editor? Steam added a spot in the properties > general to add an advance launch option to add in the extra launch target command instead of needing to use a shortcut that may be easier, try it again that way :)
That's not cheating, that's literally hacking.
There's no point playing like that, no fun.
Hacking the game IS fun, though. At least to me. It makes me seem smarter than I actually am.
